I’ve been trying to decide what to call one of our Video Series after it sounding kinda off and not focused….
Its for our Short “Preview” assessment type series. We take a look at all the information, screen shots, and videos on the game and give our opinion on how the game is shaping up so far.
Before we would tell you to play it or don’t play it, but now that i think about it that’s a little unfair, and so final – and if we are wrong we look like asses. So maybe this needs to change…. Read on…

So if you’ve seen my previous Fallout 3 Videos you know I love the game and think its one of the best of 2008. That’s why without a doubt I had to make a Announcement video for each of the DLC packs (there are 3 of them). The first is called Operation Anchorage where essentially you get to relive (through a simulation) the battle against the Chinese for Alaska. I kinda was let down to learn it was only a simulation but I think i’ll get over that fact pretty quickly with all the cool stuff that’s planned for this release; deploy-able strike teams, ninja stealth suits, 4 or 5 hours of new gameplay, and more story on the brotherhood outcasts!
I had planned on doing a Monthly Retrospective for each month, sort of a monthly summary of all the games releases and if they were worth your time or not, but I’ve since decided against that. It just that the Month of October in 2008 was EPIC for Video games, so many potentially good games were released all at one time.
However, Instead, I’ll just take on each game on their own with their own videos…. Read on…

What up AngryJoers! Tons0fun here with my first post on the site. I have been working behind the scenes here at AngryJoeShow.com, getting everything ready in the background to make this site the best it can be. Currently I am working on getting a forum system set-up so we can hear from all of you BAD ASS viewers.
In the next day or two you will be able to sign-up and start commenting and suggesting with-in a forum rather than just a shoutbox. After I get that all set up, I will be creating a new theme for the site that will be ALL ANGRYJOESHOW! Crafted with my web skillz and MIGHT! Just for AJS.

We all know that Fable 2 was an Epic release for Lionhead, Microsoft and the Xbox 360 community. Fable 1 was fun but ultimately it disappointed me. Leading up to Fable 2′s release AngryJoe has probably made more Fable 2 related videos than any other game that came before.
Here we all it all leads up to this, AngryJoe’s Comedic Angry Review of Fable 2 – This Review Parody Video was so Epic that it had to be Split into two parts!
We titled this one “NegaReview” because we knew we were going to BASH on it almost the entire time, even though ultimately we liked the game and rated it well.

The Parodies in Part 1 were great fun to film! “Blacksmith” Tons0Fun
First I was Fuggin’ Pissed Off that they had bragged about hundreds and hundreds of weapons and items, etc. When in actually it was really just the same 50 something weapons over and over labeled different things. Like Rusty Sword, slightly Used Sword and Previously Sneezed on Sword – BULLSHIT – and “Blacksmith” Tons0Fun helps illustrate that point!
Fable Officespace Faxmachine/Crates
This was so much fun to parody you have no idea, I demand all angryjoers film their own Officespace parodies and submit them on your youtube account so we can all enjoy them. Here I get fuggin’ pissed off at the jagoff crates in BOTH Fable games where there NEVER ANYTHING IN THE DAMN THINGS. ….WHY! is this some kinda SICK JOKE! by the devs? They even make fun of you for it in one of the loading screens? How about I beat them down and laugh in their face just like these damn Banana Boxes i picked up from my local grocery store. Yea I know the parody is a little long but if you tried it you’d understand why.

The GOD-Awful Half-Assed Cooperative
This was probably the Feature I was looking forward to most, and guess what happened? They Fucked it up! Thats why I went into the Rare “Hyper Anger Mode” where My powers Double, Hell Triple – Tons0Fun is lucky that long ago I gave him a piece of spacerock that he keeps in his pocket so that he doesnt get hurt when I throw turbo punches like I did in the video at 6:51 minutes in the video.
SUCK MY EXPERIENCE BITCHES!
And why do I need to SUCK in experience to my body? Did I not just swing the sword myself? So I will forget how to swing the sword well if I dont suck up this stupid orb that floated out of this guys dead?!

Brown Monk
The Good and Evil story choices were pretty intense to make a decision on, here the Brown Monk tries to have it both ways but fails, horribly..

This game was good....while it lasted I was extremely disappointed to have it last for only a few hours. I liked how you sould steal items from shops in the first game but now only money??? NO!!!!!!!!!!! still I give this game a 7/10...
So finally we get to our first “True” AngryJoe “Angry Review”, now this is ANGRYJOE Flavor BITCHES! Still a few things we evolved after this one, you will notice this is the only time we mention Tons0Fun as “Chris the PC Guy” and hes not wearing his cool shirt designs. Even though this one is better then our last two tests (Brothers In Arms, and Blitz: The League II Reviews) we could always get better, and we’ve tweaked the format a bit since this video, but this one is pretty much in line with kinda what we would like to do with our “Angry Reviews”. Hmmm….Now after watching that, im thinking this one is actually a bit of a Bad Example as ultimately both me and Tons0Fun ended up both liking the game enough to not bash on it too hard.
We labeled the Video an “AJS Experience” because by then the game had been out for awhile and we were just concerned that most people had already made a decision about it. So this particular video was a little bit more for discussion of the things that we all liked and hated about it overall.
gameplay was clunky and driving got tiring. enemies were all the same and guns jamming MADE ME RAGE!!!! i died at least 20 times on account of a jammed gun as i was charging in like a numbfuck....
So here’s another AngryJoe Review (Pre-AngryJoe), where I take a look at the Football game Blitz: The League II. If you dont know it by now im a HUGE Football fan, both NFL and NCAA. I pretty much Buy or Rent any New Football game that comes out. I enjoyed Blitz: The League when it first came out on Xbox, it was a welcome distraction to Madden and NFL 2K, however there were nagging problems with it (one of my major sticking points was that it had no cooperative multiplayer – you team up and enjoy it alongside a friend on the same team).

So naturally I was excited about Blitz: The League II when it was announced for the XBOX 360. But get this, even though the Original Blitz: The League ONE had already come out on XBOX, it was ALSO ported to the XBOX 360. Then we get Blitz: The League II and its pretty much the same FRIGGIN port of the original Xbox game. I was fuggin’ Pissed! Check the Review:
Being that this was slightly Pre-AngryJoeShow, I was still trying to find my “Format” for Game Reviews (and only just recently found it). But this was definitely a step up from the Brothers In Arms: Hells Highway Review I did. Ultimately though I decided while this was closer, it just wasn’t “Angry” enough and didnt hold my attention for very long. Likely because I didn’t include any Real “cut-away” parodies, only just snip-bits from the game itself as I was playing it.
Here’s Part 2 of the Fable 2 Top Reasons Video. In this one we look at all the Reasons the game will do well. In this one we tried putting more effort into our parodies of each point. Also its this video were I wore my now famous Red and Black Superman Shirt – The All important and Powerful Jacket would come later…

We really hit on something with this video because this has been the most popular Top Reasons Video we’ve done so far. Its got everything, First I Dance like an idiot through the entire video, I cry over my dog who passed away (*sniff*) vowing that I will name my ingame dog after her. I think this video did well because along side the parodies we made effort to offer real explanations of unique features people might not have known about.

One particular parody though takes some background of internet video culture to understand, and thats the “Letter to my Sister” Parody when Tons0Fun shoots me after getting intensely bored and annoyed with watching me play single player RPG’s. This parody is based on Saturday Night Lives “Letter to My Sister” skit done by the LonelyIsland Boys, its difficult to find a version on the internet (as is alot of SNL stuff – fucking dicks at NBC Universal) but here’s one link ive found:
Its the kinda nonsensical comedy that I love so much and its difficult to do right. Apparently this parody started from the Sitcom Drama the “OC” where some important character is shot – surprising everyone – they go into the long drawn out dramatic song and slow-mo sequence, haha. It was perfect for our Fable 2 parody. In our version Chris gets so friggin’; annoying with having to watch me play single player RPG’s over and over that he eventually outta no where kills me in anger.
Our version’s length was longer than what I could fit into the video so I made a Separate “Directors” Cut of the whole skit and made it its own video, you can see that one here and in our Internet Meme’s Section:
One of my favorites to this day, yea it doesnt make sense, but its not supposed to! Oh and if you were wondering the Song we used its name is “Hide and Seek” from Imogen Heap.
So the first game we tackled with the Top Reasons Parodies was Fable 2. Back then we had planned to make 2 videos for each Game. A “Reasons this game will SUCK” and a “Reasons this game will KICK ASS“. Eventually we just started doing one video as you see now, but It may be a good Idea to go back to this idea…Or we could incorporate more of this Negative stuff into the Waste It or Taste It Videos.
I will say people would jump down our throats when we posted these on various Fable forums – Fanboys would come through the woodwork to say how terrible our points were, but were they really? You decide…
The Video was in our early days (funny thats only a few months ago) so Im not in complete AngryJoe Gear, making it all that more odd to watch….Check it out:
I will say it was hella fun to BASH on a game that I liked or knew I would like. I felt a burden lifting off my shoulders when I started voicing my concerns about a game that we were all waiting for – and the response I got was beyond my expectations, its these two Fable Top Reasons Parody Videos that really made me believe in the power of the AngryJoeShow.

So now that you’ve seen it, lets go back and look at the points I made and check to see if any of my concerns were right about the game:
1.Peter Over-Hyping the Game
While Peter didn’t hype it as much as the First Fable, you can still see from the video he got a little carried away, but I wont fault him for it, because after all it is his baby and if hes not hyping it no one will. Verdict: DRAW
2. The Game Being Way to Easy
If you used certain weapons and spells this straight up made the game BORING AS HELL and might be one of the reasons some people HATED Fable 2, because it was SO DAMN EASY. I actually had to FORCE myself to use CRAPPY SHIT and who the HELL in their right mind wants to do that?!?! And the only penalty for death is a scar or two and a loss of orbs? Devin could care less, he would just run and gun right through the baddies. There was no tension, suspense or fear of ANY of the games Enemies because of this FACT.
I was SO right here. Verdict: ANGRYJOE WAS SO RIGHT IT HURTS

3. The Game Being Too Short as in Fable 1
The game mains quest itself was too short in length, it didn’t seem as if there was as many towns and places as there was in Fable 1 but that’s just me. Luckily I spent enough time working for money, buying property and dying my clothes different colors that I spend quite a while in the game without completing the main quest. But still after I got done with all those distractions I played for a few hours more and got the ending credits, I was like WTF?!?? NOT AGAIN! Verdict: ANGRYJOE WAS SO RIGHT IT HURTS
4. Will the Good Path, be different from the Bad Path?
Regardless of which path you choose the story didn’t feel like it was genuinely taking your alignment into consideration. Oh sure people will say things about you every once in awhile but it just didn’t feel like there were two distinct paths to me – other than when you were obviously doing evil only missions or good only missions. Verdict: ANGRYJOE WAS RIGHT
5. Will the Breadcrumb Trail be Annoying? And will the Fairytale Style be Annoying?
Eh, I guess it wasn’t THAT annoying like I thought it would be, but sometimes the DAMN thing wouldn’t show up on my screen or it could make up its FUCKING MIND! In the end the Fairytale Style didn’t annoying me at all so…. Verdict: ANGRYJOE WASN’T WRONG BECAUSE HES NEVER WRONG BUT HE WASN’T COMPLETELY RIGHT
