Fallout 3 Review
In the same vein as our Epic 2 Part Fable 3 NegaReview we did one more in that same format, this one was for Fallout 3 and followed the same style (focusing on the negative aspects of the game) regardless of how good the game was, Prepare to be Entertained. Check it out:
This was also the first time we introduced the AngryJoeShow Ladies – Emmers and Madison. They were VERY hesitant at first to participate in any kinda gaming parody video, but once we put it up on the net and you guys gave them all the positive comments they were damn near busting my door down to do more. So thank you all very much for giving them a “warm” welcome ![]()
I hope this leads to us recruiting even more ladies, so as long as you guys are nice like you were to Emmers and Maddy.
I’m not sure if it was the Ladies but somehow we got distracted in this one and it was less of a traditional review and more of a discussion of the games aspects. That’s just the way this one turned out, deal with it.
Anyway, in the video we tackle both the Good and Bad in a Single Parody Video with a few fun skits:
First I lose My Girlfriend
Playing a game for weeks straight doesn’t really do it for your lady, listen to what I say – or you’ll pay. Okay?
Lying FOOLS at Bethesda say we get 200 Endings
When Developers Promise Us Epic features and don’t deliver I don’t think there’s anything that pisses me off more about the Game world. I wont stand for it and neither will the Famous Pokemon Kid!
For all the games faults though, Fallout 3 for me was one of the best games of the year (for Tons0Fun that’s another story). Fallout 3 doesn’t Top Oblivion but it’s definitely worth owning.

Epic game but I wish you could free raom after ending not to die to lose all those cool items.
Joe I support your friend this time sorry bro lol
Fallout 3 is a good game, but for me it will never be better than Fallout 1!
I gave it an 8.
It was really an immersive game, with great RPG elements, great liberties. The post apocalyptic setting was, to me, a success. It is a horrible world, cruel and brutal, full with madness and terror.
But there is also this almost palpable feeling of hope, that life just goes on, that scraps is all you need to rebuild no matter how terrible your conditions is.
Exploration was amazing, the fights I had little difficulties, and since I always find my way out either by sweet talking or by sniping, I can’t say about the rest of the gameplay.
However, the principle storyline was not that great and the endings were all disappointing, if not absurd, though some side quests were really engaging. And the personnalisation of the character was inherently limited. I loved my 60 year old wanderer with his grey beard, his dog and a good’old rifle in his hand, protecting capital wasteland from 200 meter, with a scope.
But, I was then older than my father…
So the game clearly lacks some coherence and depth in some part, but it is still a great game with an excellent and immersive universe.
i think there is 200 endings because of all the ways of dieing
Loved it, I guess guns and apocalypse is just more my style than swords and magic. Don’t get me wrong, I think the elder scrolls series is fantastic and everything, but I prefer the fallout series.
hay Joe why have you not done a fallout new vegas review im just wondering?
I’ve played each of the FallOut games, and honestly, my money is between FallOut 3 and New Vegas. I love ‘em both to death and liked the original a lot more then I did the second one actually. FallOut two felt flat compared to the first one, like it was cutting and pasting the formula just about and made things a bit more difficult. And as for the Tactics one…fuck that version! That was the worst piece of garbage I’ve ever played ~=~
Man I remember when I first got this game. I had to have put a good 100hours+ into it completing everything but the DLC. Didn’t bother with new vegas though, just was fallouted out since it sounded like the exact samething.
I remember when i bought this game i was in megaton and i first said what the heck why is there a nuke in the town. But i than ended it with a bang
.
u need a partner who is into gaming itself. me and my mate spent Sylvester,, aeh,. the day around new years eve playing fallout 3. (these year:skyrim^^)
the biggest issue is to choose who plays first (we have 2 hour turns)-so we take a cun and toss it.
everythings fine ^^
This game IS AWESOME!!!
Fable ONE was such an idiot mechanized shit, I didn’t even start to play.
No Fallout 3. Shortly: it’s a piece of shit, no offense Liam Neeson!
Bethesda bought the Fallout license, and fucked it completely up, turned it into a 3d bullshit. Basically the fallout got the same punch in the face the Dragon age franchise got with DA2, or the Mass Effect franchise got with ME3.
Probably you enjoyed Oblivion more Joe, because it was Oblivion with Oblivion textures, not Oblivion with some brown-redish textures.
its true fallout is addictive and iv completed all 17 endings and unfortunately they all end up with the same verdict of you dying unless you have the broken steal DLC it was a great game in all with the 70 different quests but after that it gets extremely boring but for me i had at least 52 hours of gameplay so id give this 9/10
so amazing….
…..hmm……
Joe is right Fallout 3 is 1 off thuse games that you buy love en put it in the closet.
fallout 3 was hard for me but my sister finished the game so i started playing fallout new vegas and gears of war 3.
Give it a 10/10. Fallout New Vegas was broken and lost a lot of the charm from Fallout 3 (zero fucks given about being more “Fallout”-y). It was, to me, the best RPG ever made easily until Skyrim came out.
My biggest gripe which they fixed in new vegas was how BROKEN AND BUSTED charisma and fast talking was
Quest Giver: i need you to go do this before i tell you what you need to know
You: no i dont feel like it just tell me okay
?
Quest giver awww okay heres the XP and information you needed now my the task i needed you to do is now optional for more XP
You: sweet see you in about 4 hours if i need more XP
fallout 3 rules but seriously dont abandon ur girl for a game complete turn off
NO IRON SITES!!!!!!!!!!
I think Joe is right, in a way. Oblivion doesn’t compare to Fallout 3 at all even comparing the 2 prime times of obsession, Oblivion’s pales in comparison. Just watching my cousin play for the 1st time I was extremely intrigued. Normally I CAN’T STAND going without a shower that’s how I start my day for watever, but last year I was up in my room with Fallout(keeping it and the system from my brother) for a WEEK straight leaving only to get a 64 oz. soda. Something I just can’t put my finger on keeps this from being a FULL FLEDGED 10! So to be safe(and a little more rational) I’ll give it a 9.5.
I like how Bethesda took Fallout in a new direction, honestly even though the older Fallouts are classics theyre style and gameplay just couldn’t compete in the time Fallout 3 came out. They took a chance with something new and it is by far my favorite game i have ever played. With over 1000+ hours i sinked into this game it had to have done something to have wasted that much of my time. and the best part is i feel like i could easily restart it again and again and have it stay relatively fresh with the many different moral and combat options to explore. 10 out of 10 for me.
this game was honestly one of my BY FAR favorite games i have ever played in my life its
i think joe was right to give it at lease an 8 rather than a 6 because i had a lot of fun with fallout 3. i was satisfied by it because there were sooo many options to take, places and stuff to find. just a couple of weeks ago i got the DLC for it and thats maybe what joe was looking for because in the operation Anchorage it takes you back in time to the liberation from the Chinese in anchorage, alaska. and the other DLC just really was the icing on the cake
I enjoyed this game a lot. I’m kind of leaning more to Fallout:NV mainly because it’s set in Vegas and I Really like the aiming better.
Didn’t really like the story of FO3 that much but it was made up for when i bought Broken Steel and Point Lookout. Also Dogmeat, No matter what, I find that Dogmeat is just so much cooler than Rex. Sure Rex is a half robot but Dogmeat is just a normal dog and can take on supermutants. That is amazingly awesome for a normal dog.
I rate this game a 8/10
When i for the first time played this game, i thought this game was ass. Then, when i tried to replay, i thought i want to puke. THE GAME IS BORING AS SHIT! There’s just no content, i mean, no INTERESTING content at all (except for Harold, but… meh). Other, than the city ruins were kind of cool, everything else is bad. Graphics, controls (kind of sloppy game), content, story (well, at least i wasn’t interested in all this “find daddy clean water” thingy), characters and etc. It deserves my 3, only because it’s Fallout franchise, there’s dog and cool city ruins (but you’ll be bored even from them, because game isn’t difficult AT ALL! I WAS KILLING SUPERMUTANTS WITH MY FISTS! I wasn’t even developing this skill). But the Fallout: New Vegas is a great game.
LMAO this show is too much. I love this game nuff said.
I thought this game was pretty shitty.
As a fallout game it falls horribly short of what it is suppose to be. But to be fair it is a great game on its own*despite the massive amounts of bugs*. I just think they should have called it Wastelands or something to that effect rather than Fallout.
It had many faults but i still give it a 9.5/10 because its the most time and fun i have got out of a game.
new vegas is superior in every way
I just saw this like years later. Hope you and your girl are still together. She seems like a sweet girl.
Okay. I gotta ask. Did AngryJoe really lose his girlfriend because of Fallout 3?.
Fuck you, Oblivion was a terrible game and fallout is a 10/10!!!!!!
Now I would not say terrible infact whats wrong with Oblivion you tell me.
Well I guess what they mean by 200 endings is not what we think… Like each ending they have could be little things like who you have with me and all. Just the cheap things that can let you bring with you. I think fall out 3 better by far then Fable 2.
Good
there are what u call flash backs in this game its called tranquility lane neighborhood and you play as a little boy and the whole setting is in black and white this game is amazing btw i played the crap out of it for a month straight before putting another disc in the ps3 finally
