Ready for the Zombie Apocolypse!

Man I love me some zombie action! This is my son with a shotgun from a game. Think he’s ready for some zombie action? Hell yeahs. I don’t know what it is that draws me to shooting off some zombie heads, but it is hella fun. So let’s count down the best and worst of the zombie goodies!

BEST ZOMBIE FUN-

1- World War Z by Max Brooks. This book is written like a war documentary. It takes place AFTER the zombie war and goes around the world interviewing people about what happened. It is EXCELLENT!! The things some people did to survive are dispicable and the horror others had to endure was tragic. This is being made into a movie and I can’t wait.

2- Resident Evil 2 on the PS1. This is by far the best of the entire series. Things you did as one character affected the other. It took all the best things from the first game and added to it ten fold. Yeah, the other games are good, or just ok sometimes, but this is the best of the bunch.

3- Resident Evil Degeneration. What a bad ass movie! It is almost like a sequel to the second game. I just find myself wondering how much further they can keep taking the whole ‘virus leaks out’ bit, but in this movie they strayed from that. Umbrella is no more and the virus is on the black market and being used by the government.

4- Shaun of the Dead. What a funny ass movie. It makes fun of so many other zombie flicks. And you know what else? They are playing Timesplitters in that movie. So you kow it has to rock cause they are TS fans!

5- 28 Days Later. Running Zombies. Enough said.

6- Last Stand on Kongregate.com. The whole point of this simple game is to survive a few nights while searching during the days for help. You have to stop the zombie hordes from breaking your fort down. Simple, good and addicting fun. Play both parts for a jolly good time.

7- Zombie Strippers. I cannot recommend this B-Movie enough. Just find it and watch it. The goth chick is hot.

8- Fido! I watched thos movie out of boredom one day and got hooked. It’s a quirky dark comedy set in a 50′s society with modern technology who enslave zombies to be servants. Of course things go wrong. When don’t they?

BAD ZOMBIE WORTHLESSNESS!

1- Diary of the Dead. What a complete piece of shit movie. I ain’t going to say anymore than that. 

2- Resident Evil Outbreak for the PS2. Capcom, listen up! Add voice chat to your games! I am telling you that is what killed this game. So much potential, so much gone wrong! And then you make a sequel? Who the hell is playing this game enough to warrant a sequel!?!?!

3- Dead Rising for the 360. I know, I know. I am probably one of the only ones who don’t really like this game. Yeah it is fun and all, but it gets real old real fast. At least for me it does. It has some fun little extras,like costumes and such, but that just wasn’t enough for me to be hooked.

4- Resident Evil 3 for the PS1. I know what I said earlier, but this game is the exception. It was short, it felt rushed and just wasn’t well thought out. Nemisis is a bad ass idea, but I think if they took some more time with it, it would have been a much better game.

5- Plan 9 From Outer Space. Yeah, it’s the worst movie ever made. And yes, it does have zombies in it.

6- Doomsday. What a completely stupid film. Between this and Diary, I’d watch Diary any day over this crap fest.

7- The House Of The Dead movie. Do I really need to say anything more than that? Didn’t think so.

8- Cell by Stephen King. I am not a Stephen King fan. I think he is over rated. But I was really into the idea of this book, you know, a cell phone signal that turns you into a zombie. It was also the first Stephen King book I ever read outside of Deloris Clayborne which is not a horror story.  So the idea is great,the execution sucks ass! The first few chapters are really good, but then it goes downhill fast. Why oh why are they making a movie about this? Electronic mind talking zombies? WTF! But then again, what did I expect from the guy who actually wrote Dreamcatcher about aliens that come out in your bowel movements?
