Timesplitters 4 – The Fate of Free Radical

We’ve got some exciting things coming up, ive been working behind these scenes here at the show for a few weeks now and i’m finally getting around to making my first post and video feature just now (A Special Sneak Preview of things to come at the end of this article!)

So, one of my favorite things to do is sit back and play a great FPS. We all know that there are a lot of them out there to choose from. But I promise you that for the most fun you can have playing a game alone or with friends, it does not get any better than a game series called TIMESPLITTERS!!

Timesplitters has everything you could want to have a good time – insane challenges, loads of characters to choose from, fun maps to play on, a crazy number of game options, an excellent story that has varied levels that keep things interesting, insane weapons and best of all – a bad ass map making feature! You can play the story mode alone or with a friend. You can play multiplayer games alone with AI bots or with an ass load of friends. There is so much packaged in one game that it is insane.

[ad#adbrite-box-1]So now we find ourselves on the dawn of the FIRST next-gen version of the series, TIMESPLITTERS 4! And if Timesplitters Future Perfect is any indication, we have a lot to look forward to. But what’s this? Free Radical, the developers of the game, have gone under? What? Haze killed the company’s reputation and a lot of publishers backed out of development deals? WHAT? It’s true. Free Radical is on the auction block! That means that Timesplitters 4’s fate is uncertain! What are we as gamers to do if we do not get to experience the gaming event of the century?

So we decided to get the word out to you Angry Joe’rs. This is my first video I ever made with Angry Joe and let me tell you, t ain’t as easy as it looks at first. Let’s just say we can make an entire video of just bloopers. I took all of my favorite aspects from the game and we just had some fun with it. And if you look closely you will see one of my all time favorite characters- Robofish. Yeah, it’s a robot with a goldfish bowl for a head. I’ve been playing him since game number one. The point is that Timesplitters is a really fun series. It is meant to be played and enjoyed. Yet like many, many, MANY other FPS games, Timesplitters has gotten lost under the goliath of Halo. It’s time to change that.

What will happen to Free Radical? Will we get our Timesplitters 4?!? Will I make better videos?!?!?! And why is Angry Joe so angry anyways?!?!?!?!?!? And what’s with the brick?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

I guess we will just have to wait and see……….
