Basically Vin Diesel Kicks Ass

I’ve been seeing alot of Vin Diesel lately, understandably so because he’s promoting not only a new movie this year, Fast & Furious, but also he appears in not one – but two upcoming games. In fact one releases today, Wheelman.

Tons0Fun and I downloaded both Wheelman and Wanted:Weapons of Fate – the other game that releases today. While we found Wanted cool and stylish we both agreed Wheelman was better. Wanted was fun for about 15 minutes, curving bullets and stabbing guys close-up but after the demo I felt I had my fill. But in Wheelman, there were alot of “wow” moments were we’d get loud with laughter at the ridiculousness of the game, insane crashes. One part of the game allows you to use your car as a ram, throwing police squad cars 50 feet in the air, another lets you spin your car around 180 and fire away slow-mo with one hit kills (motorcycles exploding from a single bullet hit). In fact I made the comment that Wheelman felt more like the Wanted Movies “Over-The-Top” Action than Wanted the game did!

The Wheelman Demo was fun.

Anyway, I ran into this interview of the guy on some British talk show, its pretty funny so check it out (especially if your a Vin Hater) I think this video will change your mind about the guy…

Ive been a Fan of Vin Diesel since Pitch Black. Many people I know try to pass him off as just another run of the mill action hero actor or some kinda “muscle head”, when in fact this particular guy goes much deeper than that. He wrote and directed a few short films and got noticed by Spielberg who then put him in Saving Private Ryan, there no question that the guy has talent. (I didnt even remember he was in it, but I checked he’s there!)

But above all else, when I found out Vins was a Gamer – A REAL Gamer, not some fake for hollywood-yea-ive-played-a-bit gamer, No this guy is one of us. Anyone who knows me knows that I wont let others talk sh*t about someone when they dont know what the hell they are talking about.

Did you know Vin was an avid Dungeons and Dragons player?

and has more than 5 characters in World of Warcraft?

Didn’t think so. And if you did, then you know exactly what i’m talking about.

He’s got a work ethic when it comes to the games he’s involved in, he wants it to be good because he wants it to be a game he’d like to have fun playing. Vin’s a good guy, so anything with him in it I want that game to do well. However that doesn’t mean he’s going to get a free pass from Angry Joe…

Im going to try to get my hands on a Copy of Wheelman soon, and were already due to receive a review copy of Dark Athena, so we will have more articles and video for you then!
