Ninja Blade Demo Impressions

Ninja Blade came outta no where for me. I hadn’t heard anything on this game before a few of you guys started messaging me about it. I promptly downloaded it and was pleasantly surprised – thanks for the Tip AngryJoers!

We quickly threw together a bare bones “Demo Impressions” Video, something that we will surely make into a full-blown series at a future date. Tell us what you think!

Turns out Ninja Blade is being billed as a “Cinematic Action Game” because it combines your familiar hack and slash gameplay with effing awesome cutscenes – the kind with those context face buttons you have to hit before a timer runs out. Made popular by games like God Of War – this works really well here as well. So as long as you have impressive visuals and “it makes sense” its a fun little mechanic. I enjoyed it alot.

I thought the characters had a bit of charm in the few seconds of back story we saw – and felt justified when i learned that Capcom’s Keiji Nakaoka had developed these character designs. Great Work here.
