Godfather II Review

The Short Version:Godfather 2 mostly reuses a lot of things from the first game but manages to offer two cool new mechanics; the Don’s view and hiring family members. Unfortunately the game offers absolutely NO challenge making it an eventual chore to play through.

I’m a huge fan of Gangster Movies (i’m especially looking forward to the latest, Public Enemies, which releases in theaters on July 1st, 2009.) So it seemed logical that I’d give Godfather 2 the benefit of the doubt when playing it.

The State Of Gaming

Stone here, and I am proud to say that I have watched and grown with the gaming culture as it has come into it’s own. I was there for the polygon glory of the Atari, I grew up with the NES and the Master System. I remember the behemoth original GameBoy with it’s dot matrix screen. STONE – What can I say? I LOVE Borat. This is just more of the same. If I laugh half as much during this movie as I do during Borat then I am sold. I swear to you I almost chocked at the sight of that awful, awful naked fight. How can a movie that is so offensive be so funny? It’s fucking hilarious, so I know BRUNO will deliver the over the top goods that will make me laugh till the day I die.
Joe – Wtf? Why the hell is this shit even on this list Gavin. LOL you’re a crazy man. I mean I though Borat was funny but this isn’t something I’d pay money for. Hell if it was on TV for free id keep flipping channels, there’s far better things to do with my time. Pass.

Star Trek

Star Trek –
STONE – I make no attempt to hide my love of Star Wars and general dislike of Star Trek. Star Trek just always felt gimped to me. The possibilities were there, it’s just that there was no one stepping up to do something about it. Until now. I am all sorts of excited for this movie. I am hoping it will make a true Trek fan out of me. I love the idea of rebooting a series.
Joe – OMG! OMG! OMG!, This is the movie that can really make Star Trek Cool again! I loved the Original Series and The Next Generation but never really watched anything else. And for the movies I’ve watched them all. As much as it sucked I think that Star Trek dying for a few years was something we all needed – so that we can return to it in the most promising creative re-imaging I’ve seen in a long while. I’m going to love this movie, by the latest trailer alone I’m ready to shell out Full Price for it. I would say “I hope it doesn’t disappoint” but I know it won’t. So there.

Arnold is Back! Or Not!

I’ll be back…. and then we was! MTV confirmed the other day Arnold’s Involvement with the Terminator Salvation film saying:

“I am not at liberty to discuss what kind of cameo it is [in ‘The Expendables’], but I know for a fact he wants to be down,” Crews explained. “Arnold and I did a movie together a long time ago called ‘The 6th Day.’ Arnold and I are cool; he’s the best.”
……..”I don’t know; I haven’t seen it. They only gave out pages of the script,” Crews remembered. “It was crazy. It was very, very secretive. Believe me – when you see it, that will be the first time I saw it.”

My Angry Sense tells me that he will only appear for a few seconds and possibly in the background or on the side, but thats all us Arnold Fans Need!

Apprently Io9 is now reporting that Arnold Will not be back. Which one is it, ARGGRGGGHHH!

This could just be the Director/Producer spreading disinformation so that it remains a Surprise.
