Velvet Assassin – Waste It or Taste It?

So I thought it would be a good idea to bring this Angry Joe Video out from the Archives, expecially since the Velvet Assassin Game Releases this week!

This is one of our older videos so give us a break! If you find it too slow skip towards the end for a funny skit that I hope to do more of!

The Game Preview
So Velvet Assassin is supposed to be one of Stealth Action Games in Third Person, only with this game you are Violette Szabo, a real life World War II secret agent/saboteur. As an agent you will go deep behind enemy lines to stop the Nazi Regime.

When we previewed the game there wasn’t much information available for the game, however the dev’s were pimping Violette hardcore, putting her in skimpy outfits and giving her uhm… “Huge Tracts of Land!” I wonder how the Real Life Violette would feel about this, you know the one that actually risked her life for the Allies?

So with the Developers doing their best to appeal to the Carnal Male demographic with pictures like these:

I thought it appropriate to show how exactly this “marketing” strategy would work on us Male Gamers. I doubt somehow that she actually wore such outfits, but maybe she should have – would have definitely taken all the Germans by surprise and in that half-a second they are distracted. Pop POP POP! War over!

Velvet Assassin Drive-By
For the Waste it or Taste it Video’s we would collect all thats available for a game at the time and make a decision whether it was worth your time or not, in this case, if the best they can come up with is skimpy outfits on a tired Stealth Action game then we say “Waste It”. In this video series for each game we would come up with a creative way of doing just that, be it a Drive-by, Flamethrower, beat-down or some other creative death – we would actually destroy the game, in hopes the Developers take notice and do their best to change their game our convince us our perceptions were wrong.
