Wolverine
The first big movie of the summer is coming out with fists clenched and claws extended. Wolverine looks to be one hell of a fun movie.
X-Men Origins : Wolverine-
STONE – I don’t care for Wolverine. He is by far the least interesting character in the X-Men line up. I liked the X-Men trilogy, even that creepy last one. So when they announced this movie a long time ago I just didn’t really care. Granted, I liked the Origins comic line for Wolverine, but it’s Wolverine. Then they released the trailer and I got excited. Not because they included the comic story line for Origins, but because it has Gambit, one of my favorites. So I’ll see it, but I am not hoping for an amazing experience. My son is starting to like the superheroes now and knows who Wolverine is so I imagine I’ll be taking him to see this one with me. I can already see that I will have to be buying him the little Wolverine claws to play with. Too bad they sell them alone and not as a set on the toy aisle. Whats up with that tomfoolery?
Joe – Unlike stone, I love Wolverine. He’s Rage and Brutality incarnate. This movie will kick serious ass making you love it but I’m pretty certain it will piss you the hell off just as much. I don’t think any of the other movies we will detail in this series will evoke those emotions quite as effectively as this movie. You will be at the edge of your seat one moment, but the next your seeing red and hollering obscenities at the screen at the way they handled your favorite character (Deadpool andGgambit). By god Gambit better have his awesome cartoon accent and Deadpool better wear his famous red and black costume or there will be hell to pay! HELL!

I am fan of Wolverine. Actually… I am a fan of the X-Men. I believe all the characters are unique, complex, and can be made into a film. All of the three X-Men movies were starring Wolverine while other characters were just side-kicks (especially in X-3). It is getting repetitive and played out. The third X-Men movie was a perfect opportunity to introduce the Shi-Ar or to develop Cyclops character or show the Hellfire Club or at least give us the Sentinels.
I am just saying this as a nostalgic comic fan and a film freak. To me, if you label a movie called X-MEN, please show the whole package. Not just one character. I don’t hate any of the X-Men movies. I just feel them different ways. Like the first two had a good storyline while the third one was visual appealing.
I am still going to watch Origins. Why? Because I am fan of the X-Men. Will I enjoy it? Maybe. I am confident ‘X-Men Origins: Wolverine’ will be visually epic but the story may fall flat like X-Men 3.
