E3 2009 – Stone’s Top 5 Most Anticipated Games

My list is not in any order like Joe’s. It’s just five games I want to see more of. No, BioShock 2 didn’t make the list cause, well, theres a lot of info out there on it already. And I did steer clear of some of the non-gaming stuff I want to see, but I’ll bring ya’ll up to speed on those later. Read on…

E3 2009 – Joe’s Top 5 Most Anticipated Games

We talked about going to E3 here at the show with our partners at Blistered Thumbs, but decided against it. This Year.

We need to focus on launching the website design (Early to Mid June) and help with the launch of the Official Blistered Thumbs site – More on that later.

However that doesn’t mean were not friggin’ excited as hell about this years show. Despite there not being some mega-ton announcement (at least not one that Joe is aware of) there’s still plenty of games we’d like to see more of.. Read on…

Being Ahead Of The Curve

Stone here. Does anyone remember the VirtualBoy? Or how bout R.O.B. the gaming robot? The power glove? Anyone? Those were all early Nintendo innovations, a sure sign that the company was on the forefront of gaming culture. As much as I complain about Nintendo, they do seem to hold to keys to gaming innovations. I remember when I saw the Wiimote for the first time and gawked. Now it is second nature. And they were the heralds of the handheld market and have remained king for well over 20 years now. It doidn’t matter what came at them, the Sega Game Gear or the Sony PSP, nothing, and I mean nothing can touch the GameBoy, though I don’t know why. Read on…

Hehe I was telling Joe a few weeks ago how I still have my R.O.B. Lil bugger is boxed up and sitting on top of my Sega CD. Nintendo always had balls to try new things. Some are hits some and some are misses. Either way kudos to them for trying.

Speaking of the Virtual Boy, the hubs still has the...

Stone’s Favorite Dead Shows.

Stone here and I am always afraid to watch a show and like it for the shows I love are always, always cancelled too early. Sometimes they last for a few seasons, but they always end before they are ready. I figured I would share some of my past loves with you all. You can find most of these on dvd, so go out and discover the greatness of the past!

Boston Legal comes to mind, though it did run for 5 sesons. Ah hell, as several non-stop sunday marathons with upwards of 3 seperate trips to the local video store prove, you could never have enough of this show. It's insanly funny and if you haven't seen it, go get it right now!...

Riddick: Dark Athena Review

The Short Version: Riddick earns its place among few and far between decent movie-based-tie-in games with its great sci-fi atmosphere and viceral hand to hand FPS combat. All of this in one great package that includes the original Butcher Bay, the new dark Athena campaign, and even newly added Multiplayer modes.

Top 10 Reasons BioShock 2 will Kick Ass!

Stone here, and one of the games I cared the least about turned out to be one of the games I adore the most. When they released the trailer for BioShock 1 I could care less. But then I played the demo, got hooked, got the game, and couldn’t put it down for the life of me. And now the sequel is coming! I am all abuzz with giddy anticipation to return to the world of Rapture. I can not believe I wanted Two Worlds more than the first game. Oh well, you live and learn. Ijust hope theres some shark action this time around. So here’s my list of things I am looking forward to the most!!!

The Short Version: Terminator is an amazing action movie that must really be seen on the big screen to enjoy fully. Watch 4 Minutes of Terminator Salvation Here!

Wanna See 4 Minutes of Terminator Salvation? Courtesy of Apple and the guys over at Film School Rejects we get this piece of video bad-assery. At first I said, nah I don’t want to spoil anything – but I couldn’t help myself I had to press the button and you should too!

Press the Button you know you want too!

OMFG that was beyond Epic !

Now I can clearly see that this is the movie I’ve always wanted as a Kid. For those 30 seconds at the start of Terminator and the 2-3 minutes at the start of Terminator 2 I was in Heaven.

So much so that I put myself in the damn movie:

The future war was the coolest concept to me – the human resistance versus the unstoppable machines.

I’ve always longed for a whole movie to be made outta that Saving Private Ryan style and it looks like we will finally get that!

Hotel Awesome! Ep.3 – The Girls: Pick Up Lines

On this Episode of Hotel Awesome Joe pays a visit to all the lovely ladies of thatguywiththeglasses.com. Now I dont like to brag or anything but I do pretty well with the girls – I’ve never had a problem talking to them, and they just cant seem to get enough of me – even if its just a smile and a wink. So of course I couldnt pass up on this opportunity to get more “acquainted” with as many of the girls as I could. And if there’s one sure fire way to get you in the door – its Pick-up Lines. Transformers Revenge Of The Fallen

Transformers 2-

STONE – I love Transformers. They have taken many shapes and forms in their animated lives and I think the movie did it justice. I have a lot of friends who just can’t stand it, but I ask them why. They like the various cartoons. Realistically, I could not figure out where I would have started in the adapting process to bring these robots to the real world. Talk about a daunting task! I do want to see more Megatron though. And I really love that they are delving into the Transformers lore and bringing up Fallen. Now they just need to bring on Unicron.
JOE- The main villian of this film might be Megatron but dont forget about the opponent that make make both the Autobots and decepticons leak a little oil in their pants!

The Devastator!
Actually I’m a little disappointed in his design, for one this guy from the trailer looks more menacing……
A Giant Effing Robot on a Uni-cycle! Now that’s Scary! But who is this guy? Its not the Devastator as most assumed…
