Movie Review: The Hangover
The Short Version: If you have a group of guy friends you regularly hang out with you need to get together and go see this movie. Like Now. It’s Funny as Hell.
The Hangover is a comedy directed by Todd Phillips, they guy who did Road Trip, Old School, and Starsky & Hutch.
And let me be the one to tell you that, The Hangover was a great time! I went to see the film with Joe and Jacob and as we were walking out of the theater we decided we needed to make a road trip someplace and go crazy. Not “Steal a cop car, Fight Gay Chinese Mobsters, and Steal Mike Tyson’s Tiger” crazy, but still get drunk and go wild!
I’m pretty sure that if you didn’t enjoy this film your the kinda guy that no one wants to hang out with. You have no sense of adventure and are probably pretty fucking boring. Luckly I know all of my Angry Players will at least get a few laughs from this one if they have any guy friends.
Essentially one of the friends, Doug is getting married and the whole crew decides to go to las vegas for the bachelors party. Phil is the cool one, Stu is the nerdy one, Doug is the normal one, and Alan (the guy with the beard) is the really fucking weird one – but probably the funniest of the bunch!
This guy is funny as hell.
The guys end up having a night in Vegas that none of them can remember. Their hotel room is trashed, some of the guys are beat up, theres a damn tiger in the hotel room, and someone left a baby in the closet for them to take care of. They spend the entire film piecing together just what the FUCK happened. Even worse they seem to have lost Doug who’s getting married the next day.
At no point did the film drag or get boring. Within minutes of the movies opening credits you will be in stitches. I’d recommend this movie for any red-blooded male who’s ever had a crazy ass drunken party with friends. But be warned there’s a bit of male nudity. When I say a bit I mean like alot.
Things You’ll Like:
• Alan is the best part of this film, he’s a weird dude. But the good kinda weird. I wanna party with that guy!
• As the Nerd Stu is Hilarious when he gets angry. And it was Kick Ass to finally see him grow some balls at the end and verbally destroy that bitch of a fiancee he has.
• The Police Taser Demonstration Scene.
• During the Credits we are get to see pictures of what actually happened the whole night!
Things You Won’t:
• Male Nudity. Sick Dude. WHY! Put that away!
• Doug pretty much wasn’t even in the film, since they spend the whole movie looking for him. Sucks to be you Doug.

The Mike Tyson Cameo won this as of my favorite Comedy movies of all time! Haha!

Nah, it’s perfectly true. If someone thinks this movie was bad then they need the harsh reality wakeup call. I smoked with 3 people before I went to see this, made everything that much more funny. What topped it off was the talkative annoying chick that got bitched out by another female and had the whole theater laughing at her when she got pissed and told us to stop laughing.
Nice review though, I think it would have been safe to put a 5/5 just c/ this movie was so damn awesome.

I thiiiink you need to stay away from descriptions of people in this manner when you do reviews Angry Joe. It just sounds a little too harsh. What if someone just didn’t like it but didn’t not like it? Maybe I’m just looking too far into this… Or since I’m reading your dialogue rather than hearing it. Most of the time when I hear it on screen I just laugh at everything that you say.

This movie is really funny. I don’t goto the theatre for comedies that often but friends talked me into it. Was worth it for sure we was laughing the whole time.

Stone here, and I have not laughed and enjoyed a comedy so much since Pineapple Express. It’s hard to make a good comedy that is fresh and funny. Of all time, I love Pineapple Express, Superbad, and if I am in a foul mood Dude Where’s My Car cheers me up everytime. Now I can Add The Hangover to my list of funy ass movies. It is just fun from begining to end and you never know what to expect next as it plays out except that they lose Doug cause, well, that’s the opening scene of the movie. There are some things I would have done differently, like the opening scene, but overall this is a bad ass movie. So much fun, so many laughs, and Carlos was the best part of the movie, then Alan, then that crazy ass gay Chinese guy. And Heather Graham is still a hottie. I give it a total 5 out of 5. It is something you will not want to miss.
