Free Games – Elder Scrolls 2: Daggerfall
Elder Scrolls 2: Daggerfall is now available for the low price of completely FREE! Check out some screens and details here:
I make it no secret that my love for the Elder Scroll Series of games known no bounds! While I haven’t had a chance to do an AngryJoeShow Review of either Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion or Elder Scrolls 3: Morrowind, I hope to do so in the future.
I can recommend both games for immediately purchase if you enjoy long RPG’s that span an open world. These games offer the player a massive amount of content that you can get lost in for weeks, each having well over 40+ hours of gameplay for your money. BUY THEM, if you haven’t already.
So It caught my attention that Elder Scrolls 2: Daggerfall, the precusor to both, is now available for FREE at Bethesda Softworks Right Now!
And get this, Daggerfall features a game world thats 62,394 square miles or 40,400,000 acres containing over 15,000 towns, cities, dungeons, and villages to explore. And Todd Howard, Elder Scrolls programmer, was quoted as saying:
The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind is 0.01% the size of Daggerfall.
Holy Shit! Course it should be noted most of Daggerfall’s terrain was randomly generated and its a very old game, (13 years!), so you’ll need a DOS emulator, lucky the good folks at Bethesda provide a link for one at their site.
If I didn’t have a new video to write, shoot, and produce i’d definitely download it and play it if only for a few minutes, i’m curious to see what it was like to play an Elder Scrolls back then.
If anyone tries it out, come back and leave me a comment on how it was. Crappy because of its age? or curiously addictive?
