Left 4 Dead 2: Bullsh*t or Not?
The upcoming Left 4 Dead 2 has been causing some controversy.
“Fans” are boycotting the game in large numbers, rejecting it as insufficient to warrant a sequel. Demanding the content for the original game they were promised. Joe uses the new Bullsh*t Translator to get to the Truth!
What do you Angry Players have to say?
Should the Boycott group quit pissing and moaning like impotent jerks? Or do they make some very real and valid points?
*NOTE*
It should be noted that Valve has confirmed that more Left 4 Dead one content is on its way, but what exactly it is we are not sure yet.

I really want by own Bullshit translator now too.
Well, I can’t believe they DID actually announce Left 4 Dead 3 already. Though we have no idea when it’ll be out, it’s coming. If you don’t believe me look in the GameInformer magazine with Portal 2 on the cover. Look through it and you will see Left 4 Dead 3, and the only things they could say made it sound like something that should be a DLC.
And you didn’t notice that Game Informer released that information on April 1st. It was a April’s fool joke!! Apparently they should have realized their audience was too stupid for the joke.

I dont play L4D and L4D2 and if its released I miss the third too. Seriously what can this game present for you instead lot of butchering co-op party whit your friends? This game isnt earned
the hype that the fans have build around. I dont think this game is worth to measure aganist any of the games yet produced in our days.
I mean its Empty whit a big E. IT WAS EMPTY IN THE PAST AND WILL BE EMPTY IN THE FUTURE TOO.
Look out any of the upcoming games u see that all game is coming up some new refresment like fpss whit rpg elements rtss whit fps views. Customisable contents ingame. Not to mention that todays regular game is coming whit build up STORYLINE!!!

To make things clear Im a loyality owner of HL2. Really give my full respect to Valve for making that game. But not for L4D.
Valve make a game in 2004 that contains a good story. Whit some modification the engine is capable to HANDLE 4 PLAYERS AND THE STORYLINE! IN 2004!!!
I will play for Resident Evil 5 instead of this.

“Other companies are dicking you guys around all the time…and you take it like lil bitches!” LOL, thats whut I exactly thought they would be saying to themselves. I liked L4D, infact, i’m sort of a fan of it. And I had high hopes for the extra content, but as soon as they announce a Part 2, I could smell that little corporate marketing scheme cooking, which was why i’m proud to never had brought the game in the first place (which is funny cause I didn’t even join that dumbass boycott to do that). I feel Gamers, including the Hardcore ones like myself who helped build their empire don’t need to be treated like a bunch of “lil’ bitches”. If they cared more about their gamers and less about their pockets, they would’ve been looked as a more respectable company (which is good for their business because people will be looking for more of their titles). But lets face it, Gamers are dickless nowadays and these companies are gonna keep continuing to stick ‘em. The Hell with it, i’m just gonna wait till Valve releases the new Half-Life 2 Episode 3 (that’s if its ever gonna come out).
I thought it was a good game, it improved alot of things. But i still hate the fact that they totally forgot about L4D1, they only released 1 DLC campaign! Sure we got a survivor mode for it but that still dosnt make up for it.
left 4 dead 2 is awesome 1 of da best zombie ass kicking shooters yet its really kool also da passing dlc is beasty just like me n playing it online is a shitload of fun yea motherfuckers
So L4D2 has been out a while, I was a boycotter and ended up getting this game for CHRISTMAS. I was quite surprised, but I decided to play it anyways (I never return gifts).
I didn’t like it. There are lots of reasons, but it’s NOT better than L4D1, and despite several improvements, it was in fact LESS fun, and much more annoying than it’s predecessor. One reason being the massive increase in zombie attacks. God that got annoying fast.
It’s not my job to write a review, but while I pumped probably a hundred hours into L4D1 or more, I barely got 14 into L4D2 before removing the game and never playing it again.
joe to be fair left 4 dead 2 is good i havent played i online yet but me and my friends are working on that and one more thing there is left 4 dead DLC out in march called the passing where u can play as the old survivors a new infected called the fallen survivor kick ass name new guns new campain and i think a new item so i say give left 4 dead 2 a chance 1 more thing do u like castle crashers i do please get back 2 me im a serious player
Its hard for me to find any enjoyment at all in Left 4 Dead. I honestly had more fun playing CoD WaW’s Nazi Zombie maps then L4D. For me, L4D lacks any bit of realism or feelings of accomplishment. I don’t find it that fun just holding down the right trigger and mowing down hordes of weak-ass zombies. And upping the difficulty doesn’t do it for me. Whenever I died in L4D i only felt like my teammates didn’t shoot the goddamn special on me or I didn’t spray good enough. Gay. The guns feel like plastic. I want a REALISTIC zombie game. No, realism mode in L4D2 isn’t good enough. L4D is flawed at its core, its farrrr too fast paced and silly to be a zombie game IMO. The special zombies are the only good thing about the game in my opinion. Where’s my reliable grandpa shotgun and the fear of even 3 zombies getting too close to me or running low on ammo and needing to aim well? Wheres the hammer and nails to board up a door and a crappy sofa to knock over and hide behind? Oh yea you can just smack 8 blood crazed zombies all in front of you with the butt of your gun and reload at the same time just to blow them away with guns that just spew bullets and feel like plastic. Good God I hate L4D.
Doug, that was pathetic. I love the trip in between, I agree with you about the weapon.. almost, I changed my sounds so that they were more realistic. I changed the music of the tank, saferooms and leaving saferoom which made the game feel much better. I don’t understand you, what is so boring about walking through an apocalyptic landscape? You sound like a whiner who would not be happy with anything.
If there was incentive for original L4D players to hop on the sequel bandwagon and perhaps submit their own unique CD-key or some-such that would have bumped the price down to expansion levels, AND allowed the game to interface with L4D and have all new content available for both, you damn well better bet there wouldn’t have been anywhere NEAR the amount of shitstorming.
I personally am waiting for L4D3 to get marked down within weeks of release, before I put -any- more money into the franchise. Fucking shame, since 1 had so much potential.
(Now all the best mods won’t even be built upon the original system!)
I played l4d2. I like it. All of the campaigns are linked into an actuall story. Tons of new weapons ( melee, deagle, 3 times as many primary weapons) more supplies like special ammo and defib. units. I think it deserves to be called a complete game in it’s own right. It would have been nice to see some more l4d1 DLC, or some new uber infected like a flying bird that poops explosives or something instead of just the tank over and over. But l4d2, in my opinion is well worth the $60 retail price.

That was good Joe, but think about it, how many players in this world thinks or sees beyond the game? Things like the storyline, campaigns, design…
If some company brings you a game you only see his cover and says “woooo zombieees/girls/”some shit” yeeeeehh, i must play this one!”, thinking about it, this is how a bad game becomes saleable. In this case we have the zombies to sell the title, thinking about my favourite sequel “Final Fantasy” the designers took characters from the most sold tittle (Final Fantasy 7) and used all their concepts in the newest “sucks” games. And they were successful, just for have a good support.
Sorry for my english ^^! but i think that u get it. Thats my point of view, the new game industry its only a recycle market. We take a game, wash his cover and get it back to te market.
I’ve played left 4 dead 2, and I totally agree that it should’ve been downloadable content. That, or they could’ve at least worked on it for another year. Add more campaigns, backstories, weapons. Maybe even put some bosses in their for each level, instead of just tanks.

Chinese gamers were gaming on the “grey area” , we love gaming , we have more gamers then you could possibily imagine, but we don’t usually pay for it — that’s right , we downloaded it , yet please don’t tell anyone about this
It doesn’t mean we don’t support the market , we DO aid games like dragon age , borderland , FIFA , need for speed , monster hunter (if you heard , but it’s a great game and it’s VERY popular in asia),but if it’s a bad game or , maybe a good game but didn’t worth the bucks , we pirate it , as we don’t we don’t really care about the multiplayer system BECAUSE we got our LAN system in China – we got 1.4 billion players , feeding with great ping and same language , and we got no reason to grab our purse unless we want to.
L4D2 have the record of a nearly 300million pirate copies in asia according to the downloaded count of BT seeds and the comment of the forums . I MEAN A POTENTIAL OF 18 BILLION US DOLLARS INCOME. Yet holding back that we assume there’re tons of little kids would still downloading it no matter how great a game were , i…. estimate… 4 Billion would be possible if the game would pleased the Chinese.
But for the case of L4D2 , we goes pirate , yet we don’t feel guilty , nor a little of it. If Valve want to cheat our money , WE WILL CHEAT HIS GAME.

why do you publicly afirme that, piracy is great but the more of a secret the better, alyhough even microsoft wouldnt find enough jails to get all of the chinese pirates, wich i didnt know were that many, piracy will survive thank god
People. HAve you ever tried to think with the thing that’s called a head?! Joe said that he enjoyed the 1st part. He just said that the game’ll be no different from the 1st part and that the second part is more of an addon than a sequel.
And another thing, you tell Joe to keep his opinion to himself but you can’t do it yourself and start to act like fan boys. OK your attitude to this is explainable, you’re just angry because a person has different thoughts about this than you have, and it sorta blinds you and you can’t think straight.
