G.I. Joe Rise of Cobra Review
The Short Version: G.I.Joe deserves more than this, here we have yet another “straight-to-the-bargin-bin” Movie Tie In game. With a broken camera, repetitive game play and poor graphics you’ll swear the game is a plot by Cobra Commander to cause pain to those dumb enough to buy it full price.

• 2 Player Co-op is way more fun than playing alone.
• 12 Characters to Play as & 4 Unlockables including Cobra Personalities.
• Snake Eyes is in the Game.
What do you think honey? This...or.....
What you’ll Hate:
• Everything Else.
• Broken and Annoying Uncontrollable Camera System.
• Repetitive Gameplay made worse by sub-par graphics.
• Terrible Vehicle Controls have you steering wildly and smashing into everything in sight.
• Whats with the loading times, they are painfully long for a game like this.
...This? Oh I see....the Silent Treatment eh? FINE.
Final Verdict:
3/10
BAD (3s might have had potential on paper but the actual execution of the game failed. These games may offer something interesting at times but more often they offer only frustration. Skip these unless you like to waste money.)
DESTROY IT.
I'd Rather get caught playing with the Toys by a Hot Super Model, than play this.

Metal Slug still stands, to me, as the perfect example for basic shooter and endless waves of enemies. Then again, that’s 2D and incredibly simple, yet challenging and VERY enjoyable.

This game… and especially the movie SUCKED ASS!!!!!!!!
That movie is a piece of shit the size of the Empire State building that tries WAY too hard to impress the kiddies and falls flat on its ass.
“Check your brain at the counter” doesn’t cut it for this one.
Especially if you were ever fan of the original 80′s cartoon. What a dissapointment for everyone that’s more mature than 10.
And howTF is that thing supposed to be Cobra Commander???

ok heres my complaint, WHY DOES THE MEDIA HAVE TO SCRAP THE BOTTOM OF THE BARREL TO MAKE A MOVIE OF, and it always seems like stuff that was once good they come and screw it up because of the fanboys (“not a fangirl!” Runs off) heres a few examples off the top of my head….
Top complaint…FINAL FANTESY 7!!! that game on the playstation was soo amaseing that i played that game for hours and hours on end until eventually i beat it, great storyline, great character development, I rate the GAME a “A+” The movie you might ask me? i would give it a…..”D-” first thing about that is WHY COULDNT THEY LET FF7 REST?!?! Second is why did they change the costumes sooo much, i understand a new look cause the game was made years ago, but WHY SUCH A DRASTIC CHANGE?! second, who the F is kadaj?! he is not mentioned in the game AT ALL!!! that is until crissis core, which was made AFTER THE MOVIE!!! i would understand if they wanted a new villian since you defeat sephiroth in the game which is ok, BUT WHY BRING SEPHIROTH BACK?! i understand he is badass! but if they make a new villian why bring a old villan back to steal the movie away from? THATS WHERE I GOT LOST!! now i could rant on an on about this crap of a movie as well of others

so sorry to rant for awhile joe, but i hope you see what im talking about, as for G.I joe review, it was pleasant to watch good stuff, but i for one will not play nor will i buy the G.I Joe game….i just hope the media reads this and understands that when a series ends or stops to leave it alone…..

Since E3, I always thought this was going to be a LIVE Arcade game. Several months later and I come across it at Target for full price. That pretty much is what killed it for me.

Shame about how movie games are pushed out the door, I would have thought a GI Joe game had more potential than a live action movie. Is there really that much that can be done to give developers of movie tie-in games more time? They have to make something that looks current gen and reflects the final cut of the movie as much as possible. I think they at least had the right idea by making it a sequel to the movie to give them some space to work with.

“Playing with toys is fun!” Anyway, I so agree with you, there has to be a way to make a movie tie-in game better. This one had promise, it’s war. Blowing things up and general carnage with fun characters. How could they screw this up?
