If you are out of warrenty, the is a way to fix the RROD yourself. It doesn’t always work, but in most cases, it does.

2. Detach the HDD (very important or your HDD could get damaged)
3. Put the the XBOX 360 into the fridge for 45 minutes (I am not kidding!)
4. Take your XBOX 360 out of the fridge and reattach everything.

I have to agree with Bryan, The Towel Trick is bad idea you can not control the level and area of heat by simply sticking it under some towels and buggering off.
I got that ring of death at Christmas, one month past the warranty…
It’s like they have a built in counter to tell it when to self destruct to make you buy a new one hmmm (conspiracy theory) shakes fist at Micro$oft.
Please use caution, always disconnect the power cable when working on your xbox
If this works for you then add more fans I installed two 40mm fans that I had lying about, directly blowing on the CPU heatsink & GPU small heatpipe cooler (Elite Version).
you can also upgrade your exhaust fans to Talismoon whisper fans with lower noise and better airflow.
Improve airflow tape up the gaps with electrical tape between the heatsinks and air ducts you want as much hot air going out as possible.
I also applied the penny trick for the ram chips and cut a 40mm ventilation hole through the case where the heatsinks are located and its been working great since then.

The 3 flashing lights can also be caused by power surges; if the console is connected to an outlet that receives a power surge, it may have a failure and the 3 lights will appear as long as the console is plugged into the outlet. Turning off the console, unplugging all power cables and plugging them back in, and restarting the console will fix the issue in this case.[citation needed]
Distinct from the General Hardware Failure is a similar-looking error warning where four red lights appear, in which case the console does not detect an AV cable is plugged in.[9] The four lights can sometimes also be seen when power surges or very brief power outages occur while the console is running, in which the console needs to be unplugged and plugged back in again to reset the error. Two red lights appear when the system is overheated.[10]
Yea, I remember my first RROD. (Me at my first RROD) F*** F*** WTF F*** CRAP! YOU PIECE OF MOTHERF****** S***. WORK! WORK! F***. Thanks Angry Joe for your Kick A** videos. One more thing, BF: Bad Company 2 is a BEAST!
dear Joe i suggest cleaning the pen stuff and shit off your XBOX buy a new one keep the receipt take in the one with the rrod and ask for you money back saying its broke thats what i did with my first 360 and it worked fine good luck with that and hope you are able to get your 360 up and running
This is why I’m reluctant to buying an X-Box 360. If it weren’t for it’s 54.2% Console Failure, I’d have gotten one. It also doesn’t have a game I want that isn’t for the PC. 54.2% is just outrageous. It doesn’t work more often than it does by those records.
The PS3 has a 10% chance of console Failure, and the Wii has 6%. I would consider those high in comparison to the previous Generation Systems which averaged at 5%.
With that, and combined with some X-Box games being unplayable in low-def, and the PS3 not having a stand out game yet, it looks like the Wii is coming out on top, which I’m happy for, being a long time Nintendo fan, but I still hate to see a system that has good games and is overall a great advancement in Video Gaming, end up dead over hardware issues. And I’m certain Natal can’t save it either.
Hey Joe, there are a lot of home ways to fix your Xbox, happen to a friend of mine, he like put a hot (NOT WET) towel around it and then plugged it back in, turned it on then off and it worked! At least I think that’s what he did.
It’s every 360 owners nightmare.
Even if I had still my warranty for about 4 months when the exact same thing occurred to me. It was in the middle of last summer. Well of course I sent it to the repairs, but with all this wait. I decided to get the Elite version.
When I received my old one in return. I decided to give it away to my sister.
Do you even know what happened on March 1st? The ps3 got FUCKED up really bad. You couldn’t go on PSN or get Trophies. Each system has it’s own way of craping out. No system is the best.
As far as i understand it only affected the first ps3′s the larger ones. For my friend with a slim was able to go on psn and my friend with the fat couldn’t and they live pretty much across the street from each other.
true but i think he’s saying that all consoles have problems initial or otherwise and that despite what many say none of the three consoles are the best
Let’s all just hope that the Next Generation of consoles are the most well tested, rilable pieces of electroniecs on the market when they launch. Preferably cooled with liquid nitrogen or Super cooled helium. I kid, but seriously, MS, Sony you guys need to get your shit together.

Like some said, call first or buy new cause your wasting money to pay for a repair.
At least your xbox didn’t turn into a flame thrower. When the first xbox came out, all the gamestops had to test them. Why? Some of them had flame shooting out the cd drive when they were started. No joke. My boyfriend worked at the mall and was good friends with the manager. He would get the interesting tidbits while talking. Even saw one of the systems flame up.
I have to say, this video embodies the rainbow of emotions (yeah, I know it sounds gay) that one feels when this shit happens. I’ve had it happen twice myself, and both times I felt rage beyond comprehension.
Talk about karma there was me using the “Muahahahaha” my PS3 has worked from day 1 joke and then the PSN network gets hit meaning my 1st gen console right now cant go online and cant play just about my entire library of games with the 8001050F fault
Yea egg on face
foot in mouth
and a big piece of humble pie
Joe, I would recommend you use part of the money from the donations on repairing your 360, and the rest on buying yourself a PS3. Broaden your horizons, and get in on some of the other games you’ve been missing out on. I’m sure you’d be able to enjoy a game like MAG.
this is something everyone knows about xbox in this day an age going in. i read thru all the comments and some ppl are hitting on some good ideas. but they are all scattered apart. first thing NEVER DO THE TOWEL TRICK EVER. it is a temp fix but it will warp your motherboard and just make it die faster.
for the majority of 3 red ring errors all you have to do is take your console apart (percision flat heat, torx 10, torx 8 screwdriers required) remove the xclamps from the heatsinks (you really only need to do the gpu the wider smaller heatsink) clean the thermal paste with goo gone and rubbing alcohol, replace with artic silver or any silicon based heat transfer compound, reattach heatsinks with nylon washers, steel washers (nylon goes to motherboard steel ontop of nylon) and machine screws. someone has already posted a youtube video of this. but that is not all. you also need to “reflow” your gpu. this can be obtained in a few ways. best way is a professional heating device but most people dont fix xboxes for a living and dont have this, next is a heatgun 10$ at haborfrieght, or even a blow dryer. last but not least is while your console is open take your fan out but leave it connected but it diagnoly over the dvddrive so it still cools the cpu (big heatsink, gpu is under dvddrive) and let it run with the rrod for 30mins. then cool another 30mins (times are just what i do not always required) then reattach and try. sometimes the last way takes a few times. what is happening is the solder that actually makes the connection from the gpu is becoming either detatched or fusing 2 points together. these are all ways to fix that. i could go on and on with this. hell you could always find someone on craigslist to do it for you for 30-40$ but you could do it yourself for under 4$. (im one of those craigslist people lol)
btw jaspers still rrod. they use different solder, but still use xclamps and still rrod.
i currently own 7 xbox 360s, 2 of them jtaged this is only for the most common 3 ring again. you always want to get your secondary error code to see what the xbox is actually bitching about. hold down the sync button while it is red ringing and hit eject. it will blink differently. while keeping your finger on sync, hit eject 3 more time taking notes of the number of blinking lights. 1=1 2=2 3=4 4=0. write that number down and google it.
theres almost nothing that can happen to an xbox you can not fix yourself.
I just got RROD for the 3rd fucking time, it sux man. But i was outa warranty too, but for the RROD at least microsoft renews your warranty for free, at least they did for me, and they sent me a complementry 1 month of live card. so it shouldnt be to bad, but then 3 fucking weeks to fix, thats fuckin BULLSHIT!
Well, you’re in a tight spot now, Joe.
I’d recomend the PS3 because of the upcoming games to it, but the ideal would be having both PS3 and 360. I don’t know about your financial conditions, but you should work on buying both.
Don’t know how Microsoft gets away with this. Surely if the malfunction is caused by sub standard or defective components (I.E. the problem was there when they made it) it should be replaced for gratis?
If a building fell down and the construction company held up their hands and went “Well it stood up for five years despite us making it out of foam rubber…”, pretty sure they’d still be liable…
I feel your pain man, happen to me too. But dont give up, that not like angry joe to give up! I personaly switch to pc, i play the same game i played but with no chance of rrod. Not that i suggest that too much do, cause you need a good computer, and that sometime can be expansif. I hope that microsoft will learn the error of their ways soon. Until that time, i wish you good luck and may your xbox 360 be repaired.
i had the same problum after two broken 360s i got a ps3
i say to get it …it would be at least nice to see angry joe to show it some love instead of being like every one else and just only talking about the 360 and its exclusives but o well
but please fellow ps3 fans watch what you say during this beucause i know we get very bad stereo types which makes people ignore some of the annoying things 360 fans say. so just watch what you say i dont want angry joe to direct his anger on us and rage about why he hates the ps3 and its fans
but on one final note if he did acknowledge the ps3 every once in a while it would be nice to feel nice every once in a while
I understand what you say. We should all get along. We are all gamers. I own a Xbox 360 and I still love my Ps2. Maybe in the future i’ll buy a Ps3 but I don’t have the room for it.
Joe get a ps3, I got fed up after i got the 2nd rrod and traded in all my games and controllers and got a ps3. Free internet best exclusives. Waiting another month is BS to get one that might do it again. PS3 Joe thats all i gotta say.
I know what kind of pain is for you and knowing the fact that Xbox is also your tool of work, I really hope, you’ll get that console pretty quick, bro.
Getting ram-rodded really isn’t so bad. Sure the cost of fixing it is overpriced, but pretty much everything breaks down after two or three years of hard use. What I’m more concerned about is the MS repair team cleaning off all the signatures you’ve collected over the years. That’s really going to hurt later.
Although getting the RRoD is a pain, mine was still within the 3 year warranty so MS got it picked up, fixed and delivered within two weeks, for free. It annoys me that they brought out a faulty product; but I don’t mind so much if they fix it for free. I just wish you could go into the store where you bought it and exchange it instead. I realise why they don’t; but it would be amazing customer service.
If it makes you feel better, everyone I know who has an Xbox (except one) has Red Ring’ed, so no need to get so angry! It unfortunately comes with a fantastic console. Being so angry it broke and it needing repair made me realise how dependent I was on the 360…so it was nice to take a step back.
FUCK YOU MICROSOFT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! FUCK FUCK FUCKING U FUCK! That’s why I don’t play videogames on Xbox PC are the only thing Microsoft can make that can work but I still play the same games as you Joe and I LOVE YOUR SHOW! Keep up the good work( even if you cant with a broken xbox … :S )
This is exactly why I bought a PS3. If MS would have just fixed the 360 I sent in the first three times then I wouldn’t have a problem with them, but they obviously refused to fix it properly, so now my money goes to Sony.
Yes, because as we all know, computers are completly reliable, infallable technological achivements that we should place complete relaince on. That could never have negative consequences.
well, they are more reliable than xbox it seems, and fixing them if something happens is easy and cheap…
i am not saying PC are superior to consoles… well, i guess i do, but PCs have more trouble with softwere
my point is every system has its advantages and disadvantages, stick to the one you prefer, but you can not really badmouth PC – the only real thing that makes it inferior to consols is playing style: couch + buddies
No nimrod is a couple years down the road. You should really do more research.

So you’re saying the Personal Computer was invented it 1949? Really? Even if that was the case, the first analog cathode ray tube entertainment device still beat it out by two years.

No he’s right. Leave the strawman alone and do your reasearch
“A Video Game Console is an interactive ENTERTAINMENT COMPUTER or MODIFIED COMPUTER SYSTEM that produces a video display signal which can be used with a display device (a television, monitor, etc.) to display a video game”
“The origin of video games dates to the late 1940s, though most early games can be traced to the 1950′s and 1960′s and where simple games developed mostly on MAINFRAME COMPUTERS, gradually increasing in sophistication and complexity.”

Thanks for proving my point, scince Maneframe computers =/= Personal computers. And yes, consoles are videogame deticated computing devices. They are not, however, PCs which was your origional contention: PC = First Console. Ironically, your own comments destroy that argument.
I never made the argument video games predate computers, just that video games were playable on other computational devices before they could be played on Personal Computers. It’s not my fault you don’t know what you’re talking about.
You really are stupid! A video game console, the medium with which one plays a video game without a “Personal Computer”, is itself a Personal Computer. Thus proving my point. PC = Personal Computer = Console (Personal Computer developed for the sole use of gaming) the mere fact that you don’t understand that my original statement never actually stated that the PC was the first console just that it was the original. A synonym for the word original (a word that has a similar meaning) is unique, I never stated first. And the straw man call was fully justified due to your over reaction to a joking statement.
DeathsHead419
March 2, 2010 at 12:36 am
Actually, you are the one who doesn’t seem to get the point. You have made several contradictory arguments with your posts, ignored what I typed, and called me unintelligent. You also claim I said Videogames predate computers. Infact, I typed that they predate PERSONAL Computers, which by bringing Maneframes into the discussion you prove.
You could have made the point that the earliest games emerged on Mainframe Computers, which would make them the first video game consoles. In stead you seem to equate Huge Mainframes with PCs. In your quotes you hi-light the fact that it nowere says Personal Computer, further weakening your case. A console would be more appropriatly described as a Dedicated Computer.
Further more, you were the one who made this serious. You accused me of not doing research, misrepresented what I stated, and though it was another commenter who made the claim origionally, you acuse me of bashing a straw man. Also, you also called me stupid, were as I said you didn’t know what you were talking about.
A last point, if we can infer what you state in your above comment, that Console=Personal Computer, then there is infact no point in making your first statment. Since the two, according to you, are inherently the same, you seem to contradict yourself by saying one came before the other.
Your first comment should now be taken as: “Don’t forget PC’s were the Origional PC’s”. Thank you.
First off you really are a moron! This whole chain of comments is due to you being a giant retarded douche bag! My comment was meant to be more a joking comment than to be serous, hence the contradiction. Second personal simply means that something is owned, the mere fact that today personal computer means the publicly sold computers doesn’t mean that in every scenario it is used in that sense. Thence “an owned computer”. And in case you don’t understand that you started this, Not Having To Deal With That Shit stated their opinion on consoles and computers. Then you decided to be an ass and made you reply. Chru merely stated his opinion and reinforced Not Having To Deal With This Shit’s original comment. I decided to add my little comment originally meant to be a bit joking, for the more mature crowd, then you reply with your wiki page. I never stated that you didn’t research merely that one should do more research before commenting on someone’s statement. Next my other comments with the wiki pages is my , again jokingly, way of showing you how stupid you look using wiki pages after being an ass about things and their reliability. At this point I’am simply using insults so that you can get it through your thick skull that it was never meant to be serious!!!
DeathsHead419
March 2, 2010 at 10:27 pm
So you don’t deny misrepresenting my staements then? Also, who was it that made this serious? How could you possibly not take my first comment as a joke? I essentially equated useing Personal Computers and the proliferation there of, as the beginings techno-apocalypse!
Your first comment was that PCs were the first video game consoles, which isn’t true. I pointed this out. Then it was brought to my attention that there was a box that lit up invented in 1950. As I pointed out, this box didn’t have gaming potential. And a game was invented useing a Cathode Ray Tube in 1947.
Then you insulted me, left several comments that undercut your own argument, and then I left a comment that a MainFrame computer is not a Personal computer. Then you lost your mind. You seemed to begin arguing that any computer is a Personal Computer. That’s, not really rational. Since my digital clock would technically qualify as a PC.
Finally, when did I make this serious? I was once called a VHS fanboy on one of Spoony’s comment threads. I have not left a comment on this subject yet while not simultaniously stifeling laughter. You are truely a tenacious individual. And so am I.
Ok lets just clear this up, first I never even represented your statements so it would be impossible to misrepresent them. Second, you made it serious by when replying to Not Having To Deal With That Shit. Third, my bad I have later realized that the end of you comment had a question mark, my apologies. Fourth, I never once stated that PC were the first gaming consoles, merely that PC’s were the original consoles, which could mean just about anything hence a piece of the comedic factor. Fifth, no an alarm clock is not a PC it is a microprocessing unit, lacks that ability to deal with the more complicated algorithms that a computer does. Sixth, yes we are both tenacious indeed, I get that from my mother. Seventh, I honorably take back all insults that were stated on my behalf. Eighth, i feel as if this heated debate has brought us closer together, and would not think twice to have you on the same side as myself in a debate.
My humble apologies,
Tmantix

Awsome, I get my tenactity from both sides of my family. Anyway, I say we end this before this becomes any more rediculous than it already has. Now if you’ll excuse me, I need to consol my clock. It had aspirations there for a while, thinking it was on par with my lap top.
Good debate, now back to Battlefield: Bad Company 2.
hell yea u can count on sony..the ONLY way a ps3 can mess up is if u have it in a closed area it will over heat just like the 360 AND ps3 NEVER EVER scratches your games like the 360 witch is a big FU!! to the face from Microsoft to you..not only u get RROD but its scratches the hell out of ur game and eject it..while gamers that LOVE 360 keep paying microsoft to fix it when all they do is put the same mother board that messt up in da first place.while microsoft is going $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$!!!!!!!!!!!!i feel sry for ALL 360 owner that are yet to see RROD coming to a 360 near you.. and thats no BS.
Yeah I had that same problem a few months ago. All it did was make the disc-reader not work for a while (so at least I could still play downloadable games while I waited for a repair). Really, The PS3′s problems are nothing compared the the RROD. My friends who are long-time XBox owners tell me they’ve needed multiple repairs over the years. I’m getting an xbox myself, but I’ll be using my PS3 as my main console so I can avoid it breaking down more easily.
Yep, I feel your pain. I’m on my 3rd (yes 3rd) Xbox 360 now, both times it was from a Red Ring. The first I was under the warranty, second I got a refurbished one which I really should have thought through before hand I guess. Third I upgraded to an elite for the hard drive and the copies of Halo 3 and Fable 2 that came with it. Thought it was a good little bundle. But I digress.
Microsoft has been reamed about this countless times by an immeasurable amount of people and I for one don’t expect them to actually do anything about it. My money is on the next system they bring out having similar problems, or at least some other form of flaw that makes it break. I mean why would they fix it? After we’ve invested our money in a number of games for the system, if we don’t get another after it goes down, then those games are just going to waste. So that’s more money from sales for Microsoft.
Whatever their reasoning is or is not though doesn’t matter. Microsoft has the money to back a large scale commercial item with proper testing. I mean really look at the trend lately with them. Windows Vista, and the 360 both big ticket items but horribly flawed. Their answer to Vista? Windows 7, but have they come up with a similar answer for the 360? Not yet that I know of.
huh… i find it odd a bit odd… first off; who would ever want to buy the same cheap crap that died out on them in the first play? seriously… who in their right mind set would be dumb enough to buy something that just keeps dying and failing time and time again? you people sadden me.
secondly; i’m the only guy that sell my games after i’ve played them? rpgfan121 whines about he has to buy the xbox 2012 edition so he can play his games that by that time is like 2-4 (if not more) years old… i guess that guy really loves his games… or else he just feels dumb about spending so much cash on crap that he forces himself to keep them… maybe also to justifice for himself that he “needs” to buy an xbox… what a fool.
As for selling games back, I am with you on that. However, there are a lot of people that want to keep them in their collection and never sell them back. In fact, I watch a lot of their videos. But then again, one could argue that you could rent and never buy games. It’s really up to the individual.
Secondly, Joe probably has a lot of games he wants to play again or even complete. He needs a 360 to do that.
Get yourself a Jasper model, it’s what I’ve just done. Apparently they’re RROD free? My first Xbox RROD’d after watching a DVD in it, and since then I’ve only played DVDs on my PS3, to me it just seems like the 360 can’t handle the DVDs and always makes fucked up noises when they’re playing.
If you’re out of warranty, it’s honestly not even worth getting it repaired, in my opinion. Despite having developed the more reliable Jasper motherboard, thus reducing the instances of the red ring in new consoles, Microsoft still puts the old shitty motherboards into consoles that they repair. You’re basically paying $100 to deay the inevitable for a bit longer. If you were still under warranty and they did it for free, then it wouldn’t be that big of a deal, bt if you have to pay for it, it’s a real ripoff. If you can get the money for it, you’re probably better off just buying a brand new Arcade bundle for an extra $100 so you’ll have a Jasper motherboard. Or the Elite if you are like myself and still have the old 20GB hard drive that is nearly full.

If you are out of warrenty, the is a way to fix the RROD yourself. It doesn’t always work, but in most cases, it does.
1. Try to start the XBOX 360.

TAAADDAA!!! It works again!

Best wishes
never put the xbox directly in the fridge without first sealing it in a bag and removing the air.
Otherwise you asking for trouble with condensation!
This is why x-box is a shit console lol.

Please use caution, always disconnect the power cable when working on your xbox
buy a heat gun and cook that mofo – example:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4wa05IgHr2s
If this works for you then add more fans I installed two 40mm fans that I had lying about, directly blowing on the CPU heatsink & GPU small heatpipe cooler (Elite Version).
you can also upgrade your exhaust fans to Talismoon whisper fans with lower noise and better airflow.
http://www.talismoon.com/cgi-bin/version2/engine.pl?page=product-xbox360-whisperfan-blue
Improve airflow tape up the gaps with electrical tape between the heatsinks and air ducts you want as much hot air going out as possible.
I also applied the penny trick for the ram chips and cut a 40mm ventilation hole through the case where the heatsinks are located and its been working great since then.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wsz0lNJ6JrQ
I used Arctic silver 5 thermal paste on the heatsinks and a
silicon based thermal paste for ram chips which is non conductive.
hope this helps & good luck!

Just fix it yourself, so fuckin easy. Get a techie to do it otherwise.
dear Joe i suggest cleaning the pen stuff and shit off your XBOX buy a new one keep the receipt take in the one with the rrod and ask for you money back saying its broke thats what i did with my first 360 and it worked fine good luck with that and hope you are able to get your 360 up and running
My friend’s tried that, though at best its only a temporary fix. in his own words, “The way to fix it is the same way to break it.”
Wrap your head around that for a minute.
Good luck Joe.
ps3
Personally I say skip the Xbox you can play anything that system has on the PS3 or on a PC
that sucks man if you buy one of the newer ones like mine hopefully you won’t get rrod for quite some time.
dam i cant edit my comments? stupid typos. 1=1 2=2 3=3 4=0
this is something everyone knows about xbox in this day an age going in. i read thru all the comments and some ppl are hitting on some good ideas. but they are all scattered apart. first thing NEVER DO THE TOWEL TRICK EVER. it is a temp fix but it will warp your motherboard and just make it die faster.
for the majority of 3 red ring errors all you have to do is take your console apart (percision flat heat, torx 10, torx 8 screwdriers required) remove the xclamps from the heatsinks (you really only need to do the gpu the wider smaller heatsink) clean the thermal paste with goo gone and rubbing alcohol, replace with artic silver or any silicon based heat transfer compound, reattach heatsinks with nylon washers, steel washers (nylon goes to motherboard steel ontop of nylon) and machine screws. someone has already posted a youtube video of this. but that is not all. you also need to “reflow” your gpu. this can be obtained in a few ways. best way is a professional heating device but most people dont fix xboxes for a living and dont have this, next is a heatgun 10$ at haborfrieght, or even a blow dryer. last but not least is while your console is open take your fan out but leave it connected but it diagnoly over the dvddrive so it still cools the cpu (big heatsink, gpu is under dvddrive) and let it run with the rrod for 30mins. then cool another 30mins (times are just what i do not always required) then reattach and try. sometimes the last way takes a few times. what is happening is the solder that actually makes the connection from the gpu is becoming either detatched or fusing 2 points together. these are all ways to fix that. i could go on and on with this. hell you could always find someone on craigslist to do it for you for 30-40$ but you could do it yourself for under 4$. (im one of those craigslist people lol)
this is only for the most common 3 ring again. you always want to get your secondary error code to see what the xbox is actually bitching about. hold down the sync button while it is red ringing and hit eject. it will blink differently. while keeping your finger on sync, hit eject 3 more time taking notes of the number of blinking lights. 1=1 2=2 3=4 4=0. write that number down and google it.
btw jaspers still rrod. they use different solder, but still use xclamps and still rrod.
i currently own 7 xbox 360s, 2 of them jtaged
theres almost nothing that can happen to an xbox you can not fix yourself.
Uhuh… The console just said
“I’m afraid I can’t let you play that Da… Joe.”
what about the open tray error or the white screen?
I feel your pain man, happen to me too. But dont give up, that not like angry joe to give up! I personaly switch to pc, i play the same game i played but with no chance of rrod. Not that i suggest that too much do, cause you need a good computer, and that sometime can be expansif. I hope that microsoft will learn the error of their ways soon. Until that time, i wish you good luck and may your xbox 360 be repaired.
Mine was out of warranty and they still repaired it for free (well gave me a new one).
It’s all cause of cheap parts and crappy soldering.
i had the same problum after two broken 360s i got a ps3
i say to get it …it would be at least nice to see angry joe to show it some love instead of being like every one else and just only talking about the 360 and its exclusives but o well
but please fellow ps3 fans watch what you say during this beucause i know we get very bad stereo types which makes people ignore some of the annoying things 360 fans say. so just watch what you say i dont want angry joe to direct his anger on us and rage about why he hates the ps3 and its fans
but on one final note if he did acknowledge the ps3 every once in a while it would be nice to feel nice every once in a while
I understand what you say. We should all get along. We are all gamers. I own a Xbox 360 and I still love my Ps2. Maybe in the future i’ll buy a Ps3 but I don’t have the room for it.
Well…saw that coming.
Joe get a ps3, I got fed up after i got the 2nd rrod and traded in all my games and controllers and got a ps3. Free internet best exclusives. Waiting another month is BS to get one that might do it again. PS3 Joe thats all i gotta say.
Damn… Sorry for your console, Joe.
Guess it’s time to buy yourself a Wii then.
That’s why I don’t play videogames on Xbox
PC are the only thing Microsoft can make that can work
but I still play the same games as you Joe and I LOVE YOUR SHOW! Keep up the good work( even if you cant with a broken xbox … :S )
Maybe I’m just extremely lucky, but my 360 didn’t RROD until I made it to get around the warranty for a faulty disc drive.
I had to open my xbox-360 and clean it beacuse their was dust all over it.Anny who Microsoft spent 1 billon dollers, yes 1 BILLON!
I’m glad I got me a refurbished 360, it was way cheaper and they physically fixed the RROD so I won’t have to have that problem ever!
*turns on 360….RROD!!!!*
DAMN YOUUUUUU!!!!!!!
This is exactly why I bought a PS3. If MS would have just fixed the 360 I sent in the first three times then I wouldn’t have a problem with them, but they obviously refused to fix it properly, so now my money goes to Sony.
Aaand this is why you don’t bother with consoles and stick with the PC.
Don’t forget PC is the original console!
You mean NIMROD, the first devise ever built to specifically play a game using digital technology?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nimrod_(computing)
Thought so…
No nimrod is a couple years down the road. You should really do more research.
So you’re saying the Personal Computer was invented it 1949? Really? Even if that was the case, the first analog cathode ray tube entertainment device still beat it out by two years.
No he’s right. Leave the strawman alone and do your reasearch
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Simon_(computer)
Sigh, and what games could you play on your Simon? Seriously, it’s not a strawman it’s a fact. Video games predate the personal computer. Get over it.
How would that be possible when you require a computer to create video games? And fyi a console is technically a computer.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Video_game_console
“A Video Game Console is an interactive ENTERTAINMENT COMPUTER or MODIFIED COMPUTER SYSTEM that produces a video display signal which can be used with a display device (a television, monitor, etc.) to display a video game”
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_video_games
Agreed!
And to all of you Google is not research, please!!!
stick with SONY. There expensive but you can count on them.
nnnno, no you can’t. Mine went dead pretty quick actually. Everyone makes fun of the 360 and the RRoD, but PS3 has that same problem.
thats too bad man, but ive had my ps3 since early 2007 and i have not experienced any problems with it… yet.
Friend had his carp out on him within the first month, he got it replaced and it’s been running good.
hell yea u can count on sony..the ONLY way a ps3 can mess up is if u have it in a closed area it will over heat just like the 360 AND ps3 NEVER EVER scratches your games like the 360 witch is a big FU!! to the face from Microsoft to you..not only u get RROD but its scratches the hell out of ur game and eject it..while gamers that LOVE 360 keep paying microsoft to fix it when all they do is put the same mother board that messt up in da first place.while microsoft is going $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$!!!!!!!!!!!!i feel sry for ALL 360 owner that are yet to see RROD coming to a 360 near you.. and thats no BS.
Do you need a hug Joe?
Not yet that I know of.
huh… i find it odd a bit odd… first off; who would ever want to buy the same cheap crap that died out on them in the first play? seriously… who in their right mind set would be dumb enough to buy something that just keeps dying and failing time and time again? you people sadden me.
secondly; i’m the only guy that sell my games after i’ve played them? rpgfan121 whines about he has to buy the xbox 2012 edition so he can play his games that by that time is like 2-4 (if not more) years old… i guess that guy really loves his games… or else he just feels dumb about spending so much cash on crap that he forces himself to keep them… maybe also to justifice for himself that he “needs” to buy an xbox… what a fool.
nice job being an ass
I give u an applause. SO right..way to speak the truth..AMEN. jaja
He needs a 360 to do that.
that is why i am a sony man i dont hate mircosoft there just assholes trying to make money in a tough time but there still assholes
Hope you get it sorted soon!
Or the Elite if you are like myself and still have the old 20GB hard drive that is nearly full.
yea 20gb plz your lucky im dealing with a i believe 8gb hard drive form the earliest versions of the console
see this what happen wene u buy any thing form usa like Microsoft
i think the red rings of death is cover under warranty for like for ever so if you ask me Joe i think u should give Microsoft a ring and find out
my friends xbox died and his is out of warranty and they are still fixing it for free
thinks they extended the RROD warrency to 2 years instands of one, that’s all… If i’m not mistaken
I believe it’s a 3 year warranty and another 3 years when you get it back.
