Just Cause 2 Review
The Short Version: Just Cause 2 was a game I didn’t want to play. I thought Just Cause was boring and had little hope for this sequel. I was wrong. This turned out to be one of the most fun open-world games i’ve ever played and I’m proud to say that Rico Rodriguez can now take his place among legitimate Hispanic Heroes. Avalanche studios have taken everything fun about the original – cut the boring crap out and refined the crazy parachute & grapple hook features. Well done!

• Impressive Graphics for such a large open-world game.
• Grapple hook and parachuting around is incredibly satisfying.
• Story & Faction Missions are interesting & creative.
• Fun hidden locations throughout the Islands.
• One of the more enjoyable open world games on the next-gen consoles.
What you’ll Hate:
• The Checkpoint system needs to be improved to include auto-saving after long trips.
• The Voice Acting ranges from passable to laughably terrible.
• The game area might actually be a bit too large, could have been slightly more focused.
Final Verdict:

Just Cause 1 was kind of a tech demo for Just Cause 2. They perfected all the features and made it into a great game, Must Buy considering how cheap it is.
I agree with you completely,I own both and have had great times with both but definetally enjoyed Just Cause 2 more
For anybody getting this game on pc I recommend the Civil War lite mod, it makes the military come in more vehicles and increases the amount of faction members traveling through the island, to the point where you will hear a firefight in the distance only to find out that there are over 20 npcs just killing each other, the mod also makes every npc drive at top speed, so you will see cars and trucks just trying to drift when a sharp turn shows up or simply flying off the edge of a cliff because they cannot turn on time.
I have over 40 hours of game time this game and I am only halfway through the story, if you like looking for collectibles and simply causing chaos in cities or military bases while pulling crazy stunts, this game is a blast. The amount of mods available also make really fun, the mods go from skin changes to pistols that emit gales to blow everything away.

I liked this game, but it was way to big for the size of the story missions. While this is definitely high on my open-world-blow-shit-up list, Mercenaries 2 still hold the top spot.
This game is awsome but sadly to me its only worth a rental because once you have completed the story there is not much else to do. A good explosive fun fest however. But it was kind of strange how you could be driving in a lust jungle and then realise your in stone cold snowy moutains

Yes, this game is the ultimate sandbox game. You really feel like a bad-ass hero, and toying with the grappling hook can be amazing. And the game looks fantastic too. Definitely a gem you should buy, especially now that it’s so cheap.
i loved this game but after 30+ hours of gameplay it got boring and some glitchs were incoventients such as i died looking at a tree??????????????????????????????????
I LOVED this game!!! The flight system was amazing and I found some massive weather control ray being protected by 90 year old Japanese commandos! IT WAS INSANE!!!!!! The weather gun shot me and my plane lit up like a friggin’ match. I was speechless at how awesome this game was! DAAAAAAAAAMN!
This is one of the first games I got for my PS2. Just £8 at my local supermarket! All because it isn’t the newest game or it’s not an FPS. fantastic price for a fantastic game!
One reason I loved just cause 2 is that it did a unique thing with the title. All through the game it meant Just Cause I felt like it. Then at the end the name of the last mission put an A at the beggining of that title, flip flopping the meaning of the title!

WTF!? first i was watching your review of Just Cause 2 then there’s a commercial about nature valley! WTF!
yeah it gets kinda repetitive, but I enjoyed playing it in between other games. And it’s also worth to go everywhere and get all the collectibles.
What about Repetitive cutscenes, few guns, gets boring fast? I’d rate this game max 6/10, they need to imporve these things i mentioned above.

So much fun with this game, the modding on PC was superb. I was a freakin Ninja with a 10foot bazooka on my back!! lmfao so awesome. Its a must buy.
I actually thought the cheesy voices worked, as it gave the game more of an “80s action flick” feel which is what I thought they were going for. With all the crazy almost superhero level of action it felt to me like a Stallone or Norris action flick from the 80s. Either way it was incredible fun and everyone should buy it AND the DLC as the parachute thrusters are just incredible!
if you think that voice acting is bad Joe, go play a few hours of Chaos Wars………..i highly doubt you will find worse.
