Marvel vs Capcom 3! Analysis & Challenge to Nostalgia Critic!
Angry Joe analyzes the recent Marvel vs Capcom 3 Trailer to determine what characters might be on the roster and trains to exact Revenge on The Nostalgia Critic for a humiliating defeat!

• The game is set for a spring 2011 release date on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
• Right now the development team is looking at having about 30 characters — or so — in the roster.
• Seth Killian said that fans can expect “a healthy dose of new blood” when it comes to fighter selection.
• It’s a 3-on-3 tag team fighting game, players build their own squads and uses Assists as well. Very similar to MvC2.
• The title uses an advanced version of Capcom’s MT Framework, which powered Resident Evil 5 and Lost Planet 2.
• MvC3 has aerial combos, hyper combos and other original gameplay systems.
• The game is officially titled Marvel vs. Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds.
• The goal is to get 100 pieces of music in the game, that includes old favorites, new tracks and remixes. The ‘Take You For A Ride’ song won’t be returning, at least, it’s not planned right now.
• There are no plans for an arcade, PC or Wii version.
• The team behind this wants this game to have a strong storyline.
• Development started on MvC3 in the summer of 2008.

Some People You See In Comic Books,From What I’m Been Waiting For All 10 Years For This Game And I Think These Are Some Of The People That Should Be In The Game, Blade, Anti-Venom, She-Hulk, Norimaro From Marvel VS Capcom,But Just Couldn’t Know How To Select Him, Wiplash, Carnage And I Think They Should Have Sub-Bosses In MVSC3.
Hell yeah finally someone agrees with I just wish Scott Cleverdon was still able to voice Carnage though it would be nice to see Toxin in here too(I also agree with the Anti-Venom character maybe he’ll be DLC or a costume.
I’d say Venom and Carnage,Carnage demands respect and he’ll swallow you and spit you out.

30 characters is a decent amount, however, just based on all the hopes for different characters i see here, 30 is not going to be able to satisfy everyone and i can already see a lot of people being pissed…..having said that it looks very good
Check this out, apparently in the next Game Informer they confirmed four new characters, including Dante from Devil May Cry and Deadpool. And one of Deadpool’s attacks include beating someone with his own health bar…AWESOME!!!

I will say this again, If Deadpool is in the game defiently buying it the first second itr arrives here.
As many others I am one who has been waiting for this game for over a decade as well. My team was Cable/Ken/Captain Commando. I have been seeing a lot of guesses such as Dante. I would love to see Deadpool in this game and it seems he will be in it due to the images. I hope Dante is in it, but I wont get my hopes up until it has been fully released. I will shank someone though if they put in Nero instead of Dante. That is just wrong. I personally feel they should have put in Leon in the game instead of Chris though because I feel that Chris is more capable and agile then Chris will ever be.
Who do I think will win? Well judging from the game play of Street Fighter 4, Super Street Fighter 4 and Tatsunoko vs Capcom in which I believe Marvel vs Capcom 3 will be like I’m going to go with Joe because I feel he has better experience.
I’ve never played Marvel VS Capcom games but this one looks promising.
I voted for angry Joe but really the battle can go eather way.
Also I hope Ghost Rider, dare devil, and definetly Deadpool are in it

I really hope they don’t leave some characters out for DLC. I don’t think I can get used to having to pay for stuff that would’ve been in the game any other time.
I’m hoping that Capcom will finally include one of its attorneys on the list (Go EDGEWORTH)
Frankly, I’m figuring that a “healthy” dose of new blood will equate out to 7-8 new fighters at the start with mostly older fighters being unlockable (as per MvC2.) I’d also guess “new blood” means “new to the vs series” or at least “new to the Marvel vs series.”
I think the video mentioned a “30+” character roster. As I recall for MvC2, it ballooned out to double the roster size so maybe we can hope for a 70-character roster. With 3-on-3 teams I really hope that’s going to be the case. More is better. I’d also hope they’d allow handicap teaming (1 on 3 / 2 on 3 / 1 on 2.)
I think the Tatsunoko vs Capcom was probably a test-bed for new characters, so we might even see a giant character or two on each side … I’d love it if Giant-Man made it in (or Goliath or Stature or whomever.)
But I really hope what we DON’T see is totally original characters taking up valuable roster space. I know some people liked Son Son, Ruby Heart, and Amingo, but please. I didn’t come to this game to play (or fight against) three nobodies. I came to pit names against names. I also hope that by “Strong Story” it’s more like MvC rather than MvC2, which doesn’t really give you any story, just a bunch of awful stills at the end of everyone messing around.
Now to the predictions … figure a starting roster of 30, at least 1/2 of each side will likely be new, with other characters unlocked through play. So, at a starting team of 15 v 15, we’ll look at 7-8 new characters a side.

I wouldn’t be surprised to see the likes of Deadpool on the Marvel side, but what I truly would love to see from Capcom is Viewtiful Joe and the crew. I’ve never played a Viewtiful Joe game, but I’ve heard NOTHING but good things about it and would love to get to know the character a bit.
For the character roster, I’m thinking that it’ll be no less than 50, no more than 64.
And for Chris Redfield, he’s most likely either going to replace Jill Valentine, or he’ll be a clone.

Hsien-Ko/Lei Lei. from Darkstalkers. She was my favorite character in that game

Well judging from history spidey and venom are definetly going to be in the game, I think that megaman may not be in the game ssince they have really made a real game for him in a while, I really hope that Dante from Devil may cry is in it, there is a possiblity that lilith may be in it, capt is strong canidate, possibly carnage, I hope that felicia is in it (the cat girl from darkstalkers) I expect that with deadpool they will have an attack with the deadpool corps, cable, and they also have all the characters from onimusha
I could not be more thrilled for a game. I’ve never been that big of a fighting game fan in general but as a huge comic geek I flipped over the original X-men vs Street Fighter and the Marvel vs Capcom games. I still own Marvel vs Capcom 2 for the PS 2.
As far as new Characters, on the Capcom side Dante is really almost a gimme. He’s one of the most recognizable Capcom characters to come out since the last game. On the Marvel side I’m crossing my fingers for Thor.
I have no doubt there will be DLC galore associated with this game, with as much excitement as this game is going to have behind it it’s practically printing money. Still, I doubt they would go so far as to hamstring the product off the shelf. We may not get 56 characters but I’m betting we get in the neighborhood of 40 at least. Regardless of what they do with DLC or the roster choices they would have to do something heinous indeed to keep me from slapping down my 60 bucks at a midnight release.
I voted Joe for 2 obvious reasons:
1) I know Joe as a gamer much more than NC because as far as I know NC did 1 game review (bebes kids) and I’m really not sure what his gaming skills are.
2) I REALLY don’t want to meet Joe’s firing squad (gulp) Oo

i don’t eally care what guys ar ein the game since i am a new gamer, but iron man and the hulk say SOLD! for me. as for the number of fighters, well as far as i know, super smash brothers brawl had the most guy avalible so far. (like 30 or 40 somehting, i never really counted.) but no more than like, 10 or so starting guys max is what i would do because there are not a whole lot of Marvel guys coompared to Capcom, so i think that they are just picking what seems to provide the most fun, selling carecters they think will work. oh, and Monkey_pants, thanks for the info. everyone, give this guy a big virtual round of appause for that info. thank you and as for angry joe-NC fight, DONT YOU DARE MESS THIS UP JOE! he got pounded by the nerd, do if you are as powerful as you say, you should beat this guy no sweat. (but just to be safe, play in the same room, and if he gets the upper hand, ZAP HIM!)

Guy you have no idea… Only in the X-Men franchise of Marvel there msut have more characters that ever blessed capcoms games… that’s even some kind of running gag in marvel saying there is like 2millions members of the X-men and that there rosters always changes…
If I may interject, I do believe that Mortal Kombat: Armageddon had the most playable characters with 63 available to play as, as well as a Create a fighter mode. A grand total of 64 characters is quite impressive, no? Also, since you say that you are a “new gamer”, perhaps you should try out Marvel vs Capcom 2. If you have an Xbox 360 or Playstation 3, the game is downloadable for about $15. Well worth your money.
