Top 5 Reasons Why Red Dead Redemption Will Kick Ass!
Red Dead Redemption not only has the ingredients to be the best Western Video game of all-time but quite possibly has what it takes to be the best Open-world Sandbox game ever created! Rockstar Games are putting a massive effort into a setting (the wild west) that is seldom seen. I just hope that people who may not like westerns can see that this title offers something for everyone!
What Hypes Me Up
+ Vast Open Wild West with 3 Distinct Regions each bigger that GTA’s Liberty City!
+ Randomized procedural events in the frontier keep the game fresh and exciting.
+ Earn enough Infamy to have posses form to come hunt you down!
+ The Insane amount of Fun Side Activities.
+ Many Multiplayer Modes, including 16 player Co-operative through the singleplayer world as well as competitive modes.
+ Progress through multiplayer earning Xp and unlock better equipment and weapons.
What Could Suck
- Cant create a Custom Character from Scratch – instead you are John Marston.
- Cant initiate duels with anyone I damn well please – like that old hag up the street that tells me to turn down my radio.

Aw crap… I was so certain I could keep my money tightly locked up for this month too.
Man i’ve been waiting for this game since i finally saw the release date, which got 4 weeks or so added onto it, come out in december.
I’m gonna be playing this game all summer long and then some. Tanukiblue is my gtag hit me up and i’ll form a posse with y’all.
And i just watched all 3 of those movies during this last week along with Unforgiven and 3:10 to yuma…….I’m so hyped for this game, and I have no doubt in my mind it’ll be awesome.
As long as the shooting mechanic is atleast as good as GTA4, which albeit wasn’t the best but it worked, I’ll be happier than ever.
PS-Joe you should’ve mentioned the Animations/Physics engine on there man because that is prolly my fav. thing in the game.

Out of curiosity, have you played the game Darkwatch?
If you’re into westerns I suggest giving it a shot despite it having some supernatural elements.
That aside though, sign me up for Joe’s posse on Red Dead Redemption cause I will be there!

Wow! just wow Joe! Best review…EVER! Im a worlds of warcraft player-dont even own a PS3 but this review makes me want to go out immediately and pick one up and the preorder for this game. Especially enjoyed the addition of your friends Jake and Alyssa–you should add them to future reviews–they were great! Was so impressed with this game that Im pitching it to my online guildees in WoW who have ps3s or xboxs now.

Hey I just wanted to ask you guys about a feature in red dead redemption. Its called the red dead meter. You get to put hit markers on ur enemy and it auto kills them for you. I’m thinking this might be a frustration in the game. I don’t wanna get killed cause some fool had his red dead meter full and auto aim killed me. What do you guys think about it?
Did you know that in the “Wild West” the most murders in one year was like 5? You are more likely to get killed in downtown Baltimore then in the old west, and you can trust me downtown Baltimore is terrifying (especially if you’re white).
This game looks amazing, unfortunately I don’t have a decent TV or console, my Xbox 360 red ringed and my TV is only 18 inches and not HD so it sucks for gaming. Pity there’s no PC version. That said I’d probably only want to play it on console.
Also, Alyssa is gorgeous, use her more in the videos. She’s not like the average media girl, all plastic and makeup. She’s got curves and sex appeal. (especially if that’s her legs when you first enter the saloon).
Good video Joe. I only started watching this week but you’re quickly rivaling Spoony now for my favourite online video set. I especially like the set with the screen in the background that leaves messages, it adds a lot to the review and makes them distinct from the likes of AVGN (the whole angry gamer thing). You’ve got good style.

Interesting…Thou I know it going to be like west with GTA stuff, an your video does make it look good, but makes we wonder in the wilderness areas if it is as open as like say Fallout 3 or if it is going to be more zone to zone type of deal, would not mind working a rep in teh NW

definitely looks awesome. hope it doesn’t come out around when fallout new vegas comes out though. i don’t know if it can compete with that, especially since a lot more people probably know about new vegas more than this game. they both look pretty epic, though multiplayer is definitely a nice touch. still, i don’t know which 1 i’ll be getting. btw you should do a preview of fallout new vegas sometime

there’s alot of video on the red dead redemption website but I don’t remember seeing anything about melee.

I remember the old Red dead Revolver….and i LOVED this game…ok it wasn’t a wonderfull game but i spent days playing this game…me and my brother dreamt that this day would come and that a Red Dead Revolver 2 came out…well my friends we came a long way since our Red Dead game from 2004….This game will ruin my summer i won’t see the daylight for days…if they dont fuck it up…witch they won’t!!!

It doesnt come out for PC!! Its Consoles only..at least for now..rockstar did the same thing for gta iv it was out for console but you have to give it a chance to get switched

Oh my God someone gave Joe a gun! Certainly sparked my interest in this game, and I love the reference to Aliens with the Five Finger Fillet skit. Too bad there’s not a “Play as Clint Eastwood” mode though…lol. Great episode again!

The only thing that i could see being bad is if the world is to big but then again i doubt that would be a bad thing.

I’ll have to add this game to a list of games to get for when I get an X-Box 360. Most of the time I just get games for my laptop… but I think I’m beginning to overload my gaming laptop. Will need to upgrade soon… probably in a year or two.
