I must say, I really wish games could more often actually play out the way they look in their CGI trailers because damn… THEY look epic. But the games themselves, in most cases, look nothing like the trailers. Ex: Dragon Age Origins: trailer was epic, I bought the game and sure, I liked it after I gave it a chance, but I a was damn pissed that it looked NOTHING like the trailers, not even the characters in the game that correlated with the ones in the game looked the same “Leliana, Morrigan”. Same goes for this because, they’ve already shown game previews of this and once again it looks absolutely nothing like the trailer. Its just disappointing marketing because sure, it gets people hooked and hyped, but all it boils down to is false advertisement of a product and a downer to people like me who would like to play a game that looks so epic… but isn’t. In most cases the game will never MESH with the cinematic used to advertise it. Though, at least for Mass Effect2 it did mesh perfectly.

Just based on the Trailer; Im unimpressed, anyone can make a trailer look good and awesome.
Based on the little I’ve seen of the gameplay; It looks promising, it has potential. And since it’s far off to the launch date it has time to do become more then it is today. It might be a blockbuster, but I doubt that it will beat WoW. It will get a large community, Star Wars fans and sci-fi fans who get to play a MMO in their favorite genre. But it wont even hit half of thye subscribers that Wow has. 1 million subscribers worldwide first year, tops is my estimate.
And that is still qujite alot.

My apologies if I came off as uneducated, I’m not very familiar with the Star Wars lore. Only seen the movies & played a few of the games, & at first glance the trooper’s armor pretty closely matches the clones’. Should have thought before I posted.

hey, that’s just going too far. yes, lthe prequels could have done better, but for what it’s worth, i liked them. no tas much as the first ones, but i liked them. lucas has also retired kinda already, the clone wars is done without him. (but alot of the people on staff for that show worked with him before and showed him ideas they were tossing around.)

What I love about this trailer is that the female Jedi used Aiki combat right there. That, was awesome (Aiki combat Allows the user to parry blaster bolts with their hands and allows the user to deflect or possibly catch lightsaber blades.) So rare it’s awesome.
I wanted to be a Trooper and this solidifies that I definitely going to play a Trooper.

Yeah the trailer is awsome but I just went to the Old Republic Official web Page and I saw their G4 interview and Its awsome becouse everybody gets…… wait for it………………….THEIR OWN FREAKING SHIP.
Jou can invite you frinds over to you ship and move from planet to planet thats awsome but I wonder how far they will go with it (Its probebly will be those 2 things plus some more nice perks).
But I ask you Darth Joe what would you like to see them do with you own ship in SWTOR?
Hiers are things I hope to see:
1. I realy hope that the ship isent just a static object between missions (but I can see that happening). but if it isent and you can actualy fly in 3rd person or from the cockpit AND NAME IT that would make my day.
2. That you can use you ship against enemy’s like pirates, do some quest’s like boarding other ships, maby do (nut much but a little bit) free roaming space flight and destroy some enemy fighters.
3. That you can upgrade you ship (at least aesthetically) like having better wepons, shields, that you can put trophy’s (like heads of you enemys or other body parts) in you, lets say trophy room or someting.
I wish that the servers wont be seperaded in to US and EU, Then (in reply to you Sith class announcement) ill join you Darth Angry Joe and destroy the pathetic Jedi and in the end You Will be struck down by Me and then ill claim you power for my own Muuuahaahahahahaaa……(cough, cough I need to stop smoking that spice)
