Two Worlds II: Angry Joe asks, Will it Suck?

Angry Joe beats up on a cute female rep from Two Worlds. Despite being thrown that curve ball (Joe was expecting a big burly smelly dude) The fact remains that Two Worlds was nearly unplayable so there’s only one question to be asked, Will Two Worlds II Suck? The answer may surprise you as much as it did Joe!
What did you think of the Original Two Worlds? Was it unforgivably the worst RPG on Consoles? or did it have some charm hidden under all the issues?
One thing is for sure though, Two Worlds II is a HUGE improvement over the Original. The difference is so Colossal I had a hard time believing it, but I played it for myself. This game has managed to jump several spots on my most anticipated list and the best thing is that it comes out relatively soon, in October!
The Multiplayer from the first game is intact and even improved with new additional modes! Plus the game has DINOSAURS! An RPG with Dinosaurs? How cool is that?!

i loved the first one played it 3 times with no bugs just a stupid horse that didnt go where i wanted it to no big deal,2 w 2 looks like ill love this one which is way better in so many ways
go sordahon
OMFG THERE ARE TWO JOES??????
angry joe ur a great gamer but ur not that angry anymore and it was funny when u got pisssed off
“PIK AP DA LUUT”haahhaahhaahah Joe kiks ass! Spell customization is a great idea,i have always wanted to see it in MMO
I’ve got to say… some of this armor looks amazing. The way you run in-game (Big deal for me. I can’t look at a game when the main character runs like a tard, same goes for armor) gameplay looks fluid and clear, graphics amazing. I think that I’m going to get this for PC so I can mod it around a bit aswell, but all in all – I know I’m gonna get flamed for this, I think this might -MIGHT- be better than Oblivion. To be honest I didn’t like Oblivion from the start though, the environment looked great, the characters – not so much, same with physics. I give this game 9/10
curve din bucuresti
Haha they totally sent her to take you on purpose because they knew you’d tear them a new one for the last game
I don’t care about the game, but God that girl looked beautiful.
The chick you interviewed reminded me of one of my exes lol. After watching this I’m getting a Lotr vibe from the game, but not as big in scope in terms of all the arching storylines. I’m definately gonna keep an eye on TW2. Good interview!
Congratulations! You have just won a new rss reader
.. really cool blog, Mike.
Would be nice if 2W2 didn’t suck. Would be nice to have something until they finally come up with a new Elderscrolls….altho there is always The Witcher 2
It seems much better. I still hope they have all the necromancer spells. That little settlement I just loved. My only worry is that the endings will suck. I mean in the first one ythe good guy ending is that everything never happened or something? Then the evil ending is that your sister becomes a goddess. Also one thing I don’t like from what she said is ‘your going to save your sister’. I mean really that is what I did in the first game! As cool as it is to be working with orcs, I don’t want to be doing the generally the same thing over again.
i really dont know about two worlds, i couldnt get through the confusing quest pattern, so i quit playing it. But the game itself was actually okay since there was much to do, but the developer forgot to count it quality, and over produced quests so there were no room for actual editting on the gameplay. If Two worlds 2 isnt confusing and filled with bugs/poor graphics i gonna call it a buy
I think I should go and get a tissue paper of all of you whiners.
Two Worlds was one of the best games for PC! after the 1.5 patch it rocks better than oblivion by far. more innovative, the story line was awesome and a blast ending.
All of you guys that thinks that two worlds sucks, I think you guys are at the wrong place.
Maybe you should wait for Mafia 2 or Max Payne 3.
“Will Two Worlds 2 suck?”
Can’t say for certain, but it certainly couldn’t be worse than the last game.
The one thing I want to know was where the development team from the original game was when it was released. Now they have freakin’ olympic athletes working on the combat and graphics that beat out Dragon Age: Origins. Why couldn’t they put in the creative effort from the last game into solving all the bugs and framerate issues? I know it runs better now thanks to the modding community, but these are things that should be taken care of weeks before a game releases.
At least they didn’t cop out with the title and call it “2 Worlds.”
BTW Joe: “Pick up the loot! PICK UP THE LOOOT!!!1!!”
No Joe, I’m not going to let you get away with that.
Great interview Joe. You are so committed to us you had to tell that hot girl not to distract you with her hotness so you can look at the game. Absolutely amazing. I agree with you about the first Two Worlds in that I see that charm and I thought it looked pretty good overall despite the framerate. Two Worlds Two (horrible name) looks a lot better but I’m still not convinced at all to pick it up after seeing the demo she was showing you.
Keep up the great work. Your E3 coverage has been spectacular.
[...] Two Worlds II: Angry Interview [...]
By the way Two Worlds for the PC has released an Epic Edition, don’t know if it came out on consoles. Anyway, this Epic Edition had removed most of the game bugs, ALL of the gamebraking bugs (bad framerate, crashes all that stuff) and the game suddenly felt epic in scope, plus the bad ass multiplayer ofcourse. You know what i think failed this game? The godawful story, writing and voice acting (my god the voiceacting) I get what they were trying to do with it, but they didn’t pull it off at all in my oppinion! If you can look past the story and just play for the massive amount of quests, loot, character development and variety of beasts and locations, just try it for the PC. Just remember to download the latest 1.7 patch.
Anyway, heres to Two Worlds 2 not suck like the first one at release!
I am not ashamed to admit in public that I am a fan of the first Two Worlds, and have even played it as recently as last month. Despite all of it’s extremely obvious flaws, I found it to be a fun and addicting game (once I got used to the terrible framerate). The world was huge and there was so much variety between locations. I loved the fact that there was always a tougher enemy out there that could crush me instantly, so I was always on my toes while exploring the wilderness. I also thought the system for upgrading weapons and armor by combining two or more of the same item, as well as being able to combine as many elemental upgrades as I could find, was extremely fun and innovative. Same goes for the spell casting system where you combined various cards for effects and upgrades to your basic spell.
good interveiw
i will admit the first one had a somewhat charm, but it still had its flaws (ALOT). i think the second may actually be a pretty decent game, i don’t know. but it has caught my eye and that was surpriseing to me, so i will probably look into it this october.
Joe she totally liked you man, lucky XD
when joe said he had one more question i was sure he was gonna ask her for her number
Yes Joe, you are such a player!!! Get in there my son. This looks pretty generic and bland, just like the first. I thought the first didn’t have that much charm, no more than other such games on the market.
I liked the original, probably because I’ve played it on pc, so I had no problems with frame rate – even though it had ridiculous moments, like when whole camp of orcs attacked me and the only thing that most of the time saved my life was that weird backward jumping move, even though that – I really enjoed the game. It probably was a cheap man’s Oblivion, but with some great songs (like the opening), and I liked it. Not that much as a Witcher, but I will definetely buy second one.
will it suck? – no, but imho it won’t be a great game either, i’ll pass on this one,
and wait for witcher 2 (it will be available on X360 and PS3 too! – oh yeah)
One thing that she said scared me. the game features like multiplayer should have been ironed out in the game docs and since she said multiplayer was just thrown in and their trying to work it out with about four months before release. Last minute gameplay features can really hurt the game. One of the earliest things you learn if you pursue a job in the game industry is to try never changing the feattures during developement for it has caused the downfall of many games.
Well, you can’t always predict everything from beginning – many great games did a lot of changes during the development, so what you say isn’t exactly true, but I agree that it doesn’t sound very convincingly four months before release. Maybe there will be delay.
i am going to be what she meant wasnt that a week ago the though hey lets do multiplayer…
rather they have been working on it and last week the merged the coding for it in with the rest of the game and are testing it and working out the exact details, completely normal…
That’s actually it, Multiplayer had long been in development but much like the rest of the game, this is the first time it was fluidly playable in the build. We’d have shown it off more, but we didn’t want to make it more confusing for the folks who were “just browsing” and kept it to the fairly straightforward demo levels.
looks to be another middle of the pack rpg type.
ill be honest that I would only play it based on great reviews.
the dev was ok, she seem to be the least charasmatic of your interviews so far.
Kieran from shogun2 would be the one I would choose to rep my game release.
He seems to really enjoy the con and was having fun, Niki on the other hand clearly seemed likfe she was at work and giving interviews was a job she had to do.
What really makes me what to play Two Worlds 2 is that she actually said that the first game sucked and that they listened to the fans to improve it. I wish more companies would actually listen to us because most of the time we know why a game sucks and have ways to improve it.
I have to say Two Worlds was one of the worst games I have ever exposed myself to playing. It was barely playable and co-op was even more of a mess. But what really nailed it in the coffin was the voice acting. That is KEY to an RPG game, now from what I have seen of the game in this video; the game is looking quite impressive. The voice acting is also very top notch and the story sounds incredibly interesting, I can’t believe I’m saying this but I’m actually looks forward to Two Worlds II and I hope it does very well.
It’s true that the first game’s dubbing was laughable (to me it was more like a guilty pleasure, because it was so bad, I actually had a good times with that), but if you played it on pc, you’re probably lucky and haven’t played some really bad games.
Game looks “tits”…. Since there is no Demons Souls 2, this will fit in very nicely… The game looks really good, a little sluggish in the running animations, but there’s still time to fix that….
Well I think she should get an award for best interview so far. She knew about her product, she didn’t give any of the “I cant release that information yet” answers, quite natural (especially regarding the picking up of the loot), she didn’t bullshit and I am now looking forward to Two Worlds 2
Looks like an improvement
Joe this is definitely one of your best interviews. You really got a good flow going with the rep. I’m interested in this game but never played the first one, the frame rate definitely looks great on this one so maybe I’ll give a try around October-ish.
I didn’t know booth babes knew so much about the games they stood in front of.
She wasn’t a booth babe, but she looked just as good if not better than the majority of the ones I saw, lol.
damn joe, don’t you remember games before hoes, you new it looked like shit, you just didn’t say it cus of that chick!
He’s a hooker.
I am not. =)
Ha,that girl was nice,i wouldn’t blame Joe if he did hit on her
Her answers were diplomatic but fairly honest.
Seems Joe’s pickup lines are improving, just like Two Worlds. Maybe. Haha, still looks like a vast improvement, and can’t wait to see how the final product turns out.
Wow i’m actually impressed maybe this will be the big surprise game of 09 like Batman AA was.
Well it already surprised me. I want to get some more time with it though.
One thing I noticed during Two Worlds was the lack of women in the game. From villages to cities, females were a rare sight. Do you think it’ll be less of a “man’s world” now?
did I just hear the Battlefield 2142 main menu theme at 4:44
nope it was the Battlefield 2142 loading screen theme.
I was sure you were gonna hit on her! Great interview.
I played Two Worlds on PC and it was pretty enjoyable on that platform.
Had a kind of “Gothic” (The game) feel to it, and I love both Gothic games (yes I don’t accept the existence of the third one).
Sadly it suffered from issues present in those games. Bugs, poor animations and annoying situations in battle.
But overall I thought it’s decent, I played many worse games and it IMO didn’t deserve all that “It sucks” rep it got.
As I said though I played the PC version of the game, and I have no idea how did the console one feel.
It looks like they did fix a lot,at least with the demo.
I certainly interested in how the final game will be.
I couldn’t even finish Two Worlds 1 demo, but i’m glad they’re improving the game :3 , sure looks like it has a lot of potential. Wonder if it will have splitscreen co-op as well. Oh and Gothic series already beat it by having dinosaurs ;D .
Looks good, i never played the first one, but i thought about it, but this one is definitely on my mind for release this year, keep up the good work
Well, the game does look lightyears better than the original game. I’ll admit that I got about 10 minutes into 2 Worlds before just tossing the game out of my 360 because it was about as fun as flossing my teeth.
Anyways, thanks for the scoop on the game, Joe.
Hey, she seemed nice… I mean… we are here for the game, it looked a MAJOR improvement from the first. I hope it will live up to the expectations I have. Again, only the fixed frame rate itself improves the game to a whole new level.
Joe, you are a loot addicted, ok, so am I. xD My biggest problem with RPGs is that there is always too many items in my inventory. And my house in Oblivion was FULL of items, scrolls, weapons, etc… it is a problem.
Wrapping it up, I am looking foward to this game.
Pretty good interview.
but damn.. she must BE REALLY SHORT! You are short.. so.. she must be.. 5ft? 4’11″?
Looks quite promising. I completely overlooked the first Two Worlds game, but I might check this one out.
Doesn’t look too bad at first look. I think the main new thing is fluidity. Games that don’t flow don’t have the immersion quality that other games do and ends up feeling clunky and dull. I hope it’s as good as it sounds.
Angry Joe is a player! W00t!
that he is, isnt he? XD
He learned from master Spoony ^^
