Risk: Factions Review
Short Version: Risk: Factions puts a great spin on the classic by introducing some fun and wacky animated character factions! The game injects new life into an old classic making it easily the best version of Risk since Risk 2210 A.D. It’s a shame though, that the single-player story mode is limited to a short tutorial campaign. Only consider purchasing this if you plan to play a few games online or hotseat with friends on a game night with some beers and pretzels.
What you’ll Like:
• Fun and Imaginative character Factions each more insane than the last!
• Best Version of Risk aside from Risk 2210 A.D. (The Board Game)
• The Fun Battle Animations between Cats, Robots, Zombies, Soldiers and Yeti’s!
• Including Hotseat Multiplayer and The Full Classic Risk.
• Battles Spiced up with Capture-able Missile Islands, Volcano’s, Dams, and Evil Temple’s.
• Best Part: As Generalissimo Meow, building a HUGE Army of 36 Cat Troops and carving a path of destruction littered with furballs, vomit, and well, cat-litter.
What you’ll Hate:
• THAT’S IT? Seriously short and disappointing “Singleplayer Story” Length. I WANT MORE ANIMATIONS! =(
• Underneath all the New Animated Hotness its still Basically Risk, so expect some Randomness at times.
• Worst Part: When I realized there were no more funny animations to watch after only 1-2 Hours of playing.
Final Verdict:
8/10
Very Fun!

EPIC! as soon as i get an xbox live account, i will get this game. as for the kickassia DVD. i am VERY short on cash right now. (DAMM YOU WALL STREET!) but, if anyone has no excuse not to buy it and does not, they should be fired from the angry army, literaly.(how does out an airlock from orbital HQ sound?) and, yes, if i can dig up the cash i will.

I’m a Risk fan. Sadly, nobody in my family or friends are, so despite owning a couple versions of Risk, I rarely get to play it. I was thinking of picking this up for the single reason that I’d be able to play it online.
Glad to see it’s being received so well. Maybe this will encourage a renaissance in the board-video-game genre. I’d like to see a revamped Monopoly or Clue hit XBLA and PSN.
Good review.

Good review. Its probably a good thing that they didn’t go for the obvious chairman Meow for the Cat’s leader.

You can pet this pussy-cat any day, I purr too~
Lolly, this looks like a really fun game. I must help my feline friends to conquer the world.. And with Joe on the kitty side.. we will NOT lose.
This looks really fun and I’d love to play it with my friends. as long.. as we weren’t fighting over which side to be.. because no way I’d be on any other side. (though the undead looks awesome too!) I love silly games, and this looks rather funny. Too bad the story is so short. But maybe they will listen to you and add more. <3
did I mention that I'm glad you like kitties?
