Why havent you bought this game yet?!?!
Short Version: Dead Rising 2: Case Zero packs amazing value for only $5! The same great gameplay from the original is back with even more unique weapons to carve up zombies with. Only now our actions feel like they have purpose as Chuck’s motivation is to keep his daughter alive rather than snap pictures like ol’ Frank West. Chuck Rules! After this little fun addictive prequel story I am pumped as hell for the full game!
What you’ll Like:
• For only $5 this game packs massive value. I’ve gotten 6 hours out of it!
• Chucks motivation is to keep his daughter alive and its far more powerful than taking pictures as Frank.
• The Unique Combo Weapons are really fun to kill zombies with. It gets incredibly addicting.
• Really effective way to setup the sequel. I wasn’t that excited for it – Now I’m pumped!
• Best Part: The Price.
Ive got my eye on you Capcom. Becareful with your DLC.
What you’ll Hate:
• The Time Limit Based Gameplay.
• If Dead Rising 2′s New main Feature is Multiplayer it would have been nice to see some of that here.
• Why aren’t there in game voice-overs for spoken dialouge? Sheesh what year is it?
• Worst Part: Fair Warning to you now Capcom you’re walking a thin line here, could this have been on the Disc? Just make sure if you plan to do this regularly that they are justified and as fun as this one was. OR ELSE – WE MOBILIZE!

i kinda like frank west better because i think he is cooler. also, you are wrong about that you cant manage to save all the people, discover all the combo cards, get katey zombrex and collect all pieces of the motorbike, cause i did so during my second playthrough

People don’t seem to understand that the time limit is your main enemy, and it’s what is really working against you throughout the whole game. The need to multitask and plan your next move is what makes Dead Rising great in my opinion. If there was no time limit, then the game would be less challenging and would mostly just be a mindless time killer.
As for the multiple playthroughs, I think it allows for more creative playthroughs that provide a fun ride each time.
Just my thoughts on the matter though, doesn’t mean these are facts.

I haven’t played case Zero, yet. However the timelimit and the need to play though the game multiple times are some of what made the original Dead Risning so great and if you don’t like that that’s your problem. I’m actually ecstatic that the timelimit is back, reading the previews for the game it seemed like they wanted to dumb down this franchise and make it more of a time-killer then a game. (or a challenging game if you will)
I’m a zombie nut, I have played a lot of games with zombies in them and Dead Rising is quite possibly the best I have played. That’s me though, but I got to wonder what the hell your favorite zombie game is Joe?

I can’t believe that people are still arguing about the whole ‘Demo’ thing.. Not only does Joe explain how it is NOT just a demo in the video but his two comments on this very thread give more reasons for it not being a demo. I actually downloaded the trail version of Case Zero and before I had even finished it I had selected to buy the full game. And at any rate, it is £4.50!!!! Sorry… 5 dollars… I wipe my ass with 5 pound notes. I don’t care how long the game was, it was worth £4.50.
Bottom line: You can download a demo for Case Zero. For free. No money required.

Think about this! This “Demo” offers 6 hours of fun (7hours for me.) for 5 bucks… less than a dollar an hour, and it good zombie killin fun. That is less that an dollar an hour, do we have to nail a fucking sign to you eyeball?! I wish those $60 “Full Games” could pull that shit off! but no, this is just a demo, it ain’t worth you $5, no not in the least. Great vid, and here’s the end all be all on it being a demo.
Traditionally, I can beat an Xbox 360 demo in anywhere from 15 to 30 minutes, depending on the game and how good I am at it. Sometimes even faster. Xbox Live Arcade games, I can beat in like 3-4 hours, worth the 10 dollars usually.
Here, you pay 5 dollars and can get up to 6 hours worth of gameplay. That’s 12 times the amount of gameplay you get from a demo. I applaud Capcom for providing this extra content at a reasonable price, AND providing a trial even then that is the length of a standard demo. And if the demo of the “demo” is as long as your average demo… well then how can the “demo” be called a demo? Demo…

This isn’t a demo, just watch the damn review. It’s a complete game with its story separate from Dead Rising 2, and it’s only 5 dollar.There’s a difference between a poor priced demo which contain a part of the full game, or a prequel which is completely separate from the main game. I work all day long on a review, the post, and the video – make the point that its NOT a fucking glorified demo, give several reasons why then post it and the FIRST effing comment I get is some going “hurr hurr its a demo” without any real points to back the claim – furthermore the guy contradicts himself in the same post! At worse it’s a DLC, but it has enough story and gameplay to be one of those games you would complain about if it was $60, since it’s $5, it’s got more than enough bang for the buck.

Update: I’ve finished the game, with the best ending, and getting all the achievements. I played it alot more than 4 hours. I do know that if you start from first level *start a new game* and you know where to get all the parts and all the people, and make all the combo-weapons, you have to play through it twice to get your guy to level 5, because you just can’t get the pps enough to level up in the 2 hours that the game plays through (2 games real time, 12 hours game time)
I love Case Zero. If this is like Dead Rising 2 will be.. it’s a lot easier than Dead Rising 1. I still am unable to save all the victims in Dead Rising, and I was able to get into Overtime and win.
22 more days… have to get it first day.
