When planning a new home one of the first decision concerns finding a home plan. Once the plan has been selected it is time to consider building supplies needed. Some suppliers of plans charge a large fee for a list of materials needed. Larger homes will require more supplies than smaller ones. Additionally, creating a more complex structure needs more lumber than one that is a rectangle.’

I’d have to be of the same mind with you on this. Which is not something I usually do! I love reading a post that will make people think. Also, thanks for allowing me to comment!

Undeniably believe that which you stated. Your favorite reason appeared to be on the internet the simplest thing to be aware of. I say to you, I definitely get annoyed while people consider worries that they plainly do not know about. You managed to hit the nail upon the top as well as defined out the whole thing without having side effect , people could take a signal. Will likely be back to get more. Thanks
Thank you, I’ve recently been looking for information about this subject for a while and yours is the best I have discovered till now. However, what concerning the conclusion? Are you certain concerning the supply?
Oblivion was an awesome game, I suspect this will be an even more awesome game.
Unlimited dragons is probably the best thing I could expect because I won’t just clear a set amount and not feel like one of the epics will be sucked out, but if the voices are rewards what will we get if we learn all the voices? Dragon bone armour? money?
I think this game will kick ass please!
This is definitely game of the year material right here. Nice interview, Joe.
But the real question is… Can you eat bananas?
Why are they cutting stuff out of each game they make?
what do you mean they dont cut stuff out!?
This game looks amazing. i cant wait to pour 130+ hours of gameplay into this fresh new world! and slaying dragons is sure to be a blast. i can not wait for this game, ive played Fallout 3 and New Vegas but they dont have the same feel. dont get me wrong i love fallout 3 (hate New Vegas) but nothing will compair to good old sword and shield combat! the spells look amazing too. i cant think of one thing ive seen in the trailers and stuff that i have read that would make me doubt this game in anyway shape of form, it all looks amazing and i am counting the seconds untill i get to play it!
Thanks for the interview Joe. cant wait for the next one!
After Oblivion they still have a little to prove to me. I felt like it kind dumbed down a bit too much compared to Morrowind. Been hearing a lot of things are improved though so i’m probably still going to get it.
Can’t wait to play this Game….it’s like waiting for Santa as a Kid.^^
btw…good Interview, imo.
LOL! I loved the part where Joe was like, “Oh, so that’s not the final build?” The developer reacted like he was gonna slap Joe and say, “Of course that’s not the final build you fuck!” or “You have greatly insulted me, sir! I challenge you to fisty cups!” I’m not sure how worldly and sophisticated this guy is. :p
Instead of asking about if more blood will be in the game, he should have asked about limb/head dismemberment. It shouldn’t be that much of a big deal since Fallout 3 has it. I have yet to hear anything about it.
I agree, dismemberment was one of the few elements in New Vegas and FO3 that made melee feel extremely good. Especially if it involved a Super Sledge and a Super Mutant’s face.
Now with this new technology though, I would imagine that not only can dismemberment be closer to realism, but also look and feel closer to realism as well. In NV and FO3, you hit a hostile with a melee weapon at any point of their body, and for some reason, they’ll mostly fly off in a weird pose in a weird direction at an improbable barrel roll at the same time.
Though now, I’m guess that Bethesda can pull off this feat with their new tech. If it does happen, I can’t wait to see my character use a battle axe and behead some Dremora
Indeed, with the new tech Bethesda can seek “realism” in more areas than just flora/fauna and far draw distances. Combat in Oblivion needed a lot of work in my opinion. Besides dismemberment, slash marks, dents in armor, ect ., could all make a big difference. You just don’t see that in games. It doesn’t need to be overboard with gore, tactfully done it can do a lot for realism and overall game immersion. For example, the original Witcher had a decal patch where cuts and gashes were made in the monster when it was hit. When I cause a critical hit I’d like to see a hand or arm get cut off!!!
Or wouldn’t it be awesome if you could behead some bananas insted. Sure you could slash someone limb off in some games. However you have never slashed a banana in two in game. Wouldn’t that be awesome?
Trying to sever limbs or cause head trauma certainly opens up new avenues in terms of melee combat, and I can definitely see how fighting someone can be dangerous even if you’ve already cut off a hand or a leg.
I don’t want the combat in this game to turn out be over the top like it is in Fallout. Elder Scrolls has always been more about the adventure than the actual combat. When you’re able to make someone explode into a million tiny pieces simply be stabbing them in the foot with an iron dagger, that’s where I cross the line.
That developer kinda seems like a douche…just so long as he makes a great game I suppose
on the 11.11.11 god gave man skyrim and it was good
oh god i dont think my body can go through another elder scrolls the last one almost killed me with the 2 day long sessions i even had to pee in a bottle half the time!!!
I love dragons, and I love what Skyrim have managed to pull off, and I’m so looking forwards to it.
It’s the one thing that I may look even more forward to then summer it self.
Great interview Joe. Props for that dragon rider question.
Nice interview joe. Make sure to keep up with this, you hear anything, you come directly to us you hear.
Anyways… Once Dance Central 2 comes out you need to make a video of just you dancing, cause thats some of the most entertaining stuff on here.
Thank you SO much Joe for clearing the whole Radiant AI thing out for me, thankfully Pete Hines was specific enough about that. Probably the first developer I’ve seen so far who could answer all of Joes questions without stuttering or giving a disappointing answer. Bethesda really know their stuff.
So in conclusion: this game is going to be AWESOME!
This will be so good, deus ex HR & Skyrim are the only games I am anticipating for this year (and maybe Arkham City)
My worry with Elder Scrolls 5 isn’t the game play or the quests, it is the characters. Honestly when I played the game how the characters spoke and how similar they all seemed to be just tore me out of the game.
The only characters who stood out in my mind were Mizzoga (Or how ever you spell her name) the orc knight, and the Mad God in the Shivering Isles.
When playing Oblivion and Fallout 3 + New Vegas, there just weren’t enough characters like that! I mean in fall out three the only one I really remember is Harold the guy who is a bloody tree!
I hope in this game they can make the character’s speech sound more real and get me into the roleplay part of the RPG more. I’m sure it will be a good game nonetheless though.
Dear MentalKitty789, r u a girl? i respect your opinion, but i am afraid the game won’t change because it doesn’t give a damn about any of us. these aren’t real AIs. they are figures. idols for us to think about those who do matter. like females. real females who one day we can apply our social skills we learned from Gaming. in Skyrim.
That was… incoherent, to say the least. I agree with MetalKitty 100%. Characters are important, and gender has nothing to do with it.
Márnosť šedivá, to bude pecka.
In english- WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I’m so excited, and I just can’t hide it.
I’m 110% excited about this game! Great interview Joe, thanks for sharing!
haha i think of of joe top is dance central 2 xD and im waiting to see him dance once more xD
haha i think one of joe top is dance central 2 xD and im waiting to se him dance once more xD
sorry first comment wrong
I thought Deus Ex: Human Revolution was your #1 anticipated game.. BETRAYER!!!!
If Bethesda was smart they would make this game mod-er friendly, like civilization 5 their would be a unlimited experience.
From what I’ve read: Yes. Elder Scrolls have always been mod friendly from my understanding, and Bethesda has said they’re trying to work something out with Microsoft (and Sony as well I presume) to get user generated content to those playing the game on consoles.
If they pull that off, they may be some of the most mod friendly developers around.
if they can succed in having mods for xbox and ps3 it would be fucking awesome…i always hated that i couldn’t use mods on xbox
this game is one of my top waiting list xD damn if only i could sleep until 11/11/11
my list is
elder skyrim
Ace Combat: Assault Horizon
gears of war 3
Deus Ex
TLOTR
dead island
resident evil racoon
I Am Alive this one i wanna see a trailer im waiting for a gameplay trailer since 2010 so i been waiting for a long time for a little gameplay of this tittle
i cant see iny game as good as tihs one.
Randomly generated content is never a good thing for RPGs, regardless of how they try to spin it (referring to the unlimited dragons and the quests directing you to unexplored dungeons). At least the guy said there would be hand crafted quests too. Otherwise, looking good.
Yes lets have the same content and no variety every single time you play the game that will make it fun….Derp!
Or we could have boring, generic, hollow content everytime. Did you enjoy going through the random generic Oblivion gates in Oblivion? or did you prefer doing the Dark Brotherhood questline? That’s the difference.
One thing they’ve stressed about the dungeons is that they are all hand-crafted, which dungeons are used by the plot is what is randomly determined. I like this idea, if the story dictates that McGuffin X is to be found in a cave, dose it really matter what cave is used as long as they’re all well designed. The upside is that this system can be used to bring the character to new places, helping you fill in the world map and keep a feeling of exploration and discovery throughout the game.
Of course well have to wait ’till November to see if the idea works as planned.
The quests directing you to unexplored dungeons may seem slightly random, but I don’t think it’ll harm the actual quest itself. The target location is moving but the goal and story behind it is the same. Much like Diablo, except instead of a randomly generated dungeon, its simply one you haven’t been in yet. I personally think it could work out.
At the same time, I’m happy that it sounds like the main quest line is being very specific about where you go, letting them set up some rather cool moments in the game.
Hopefully it works out well. We’ll find out November.
One question that no one asks any of the skyrim people about that I wish Joe asked was about the shouts. I know they are different from spells so do they have their own mana bars or is there a cooldown to use them? Is it possible to win the game by just spamming shouts?
That was exactly what I was thinking! I’m sure there will be some limit to how you use them, like a cooldown, Bethesda wouldn’t let something like that occur, especially since it is a new thing and they’re going to put a lot of effort to test and smooth it out.
hopefully there is more variety of weapons, especially unique ones like a whip or…glaive., with their own ways of atking of course. good work Joe! you still gotta tell us the story about your encounter if Geoff.
Joe is awesome end of story
Joe keep up the good work man.
This game is going to be amazing. I’m hoping for less oblivion and fallout 3 and more morrowind style
Morrowind was a good game and one of my personal favorites but it’s the Fallout 3 and Oblivion style that is making Bethesda so famous right now and is just their new advancement in their gaming engine. Unless you mean more Morrowind through story, characteristics and perception than ya I agree, but if you mean interface wise/gameplay wise, we’ve moved on.
Skyrim went through a total engine overhaul from Oblivion and Fallout 3. You may see a few elements of those games being used as well as some of the elements of Morrowind. But for every new title in the Elder Scrolls series, Bethesda always creates a new game from scratch.
Skyrim is going to be a different kind of beast.
