The 2nd and 5th game were ok. Especially the 2nd one for the gameboy advanced.

JOE!!! YOU MUUUUUST PLAY THE FIRST TWO HARRY POTTER GAMES TO PC, They are 3D, pretty linear, but still AWESOME for movie licensed games and they are Fun as hell.

This is the worst harry potter game ever they turn these 2 movies into call of duty rip-offs/gears of war rip-offs.
try harry potter 3 pc game is better
yeah the first couple ones were ok, more explorative and RPG-like, but still not very good, unless you are a HP fan

Joe, give the old school Sorcerer’s Stone for the PC game a shot, if you can dig it up. I loved it as a kid.
The 1st 3 HP games for old xbox were good. When xbox 360 came out, the rest of the HP games got worse and worse with each game. I quit after Order of the Phoenix.
Maybe they will make an ultimate HP rpg game…maybe
there is Pottermore..but it isn’t open yet.

Joe you need to play the first three games. Those by far were the best. They aren’t cover shooters and the spells aren’t pointless.
Sorcerer’s Stone on PS1 and PC is great game! Chamber of Secrets and Prisoner of Azkaban also!
Actually joe, the fifth game on ye olden ps2 was pretty good, it was sort of a point and click adventure game but in a 3rd person perspective. You can explore the whole hogwarts castle as well as a few other places. Not to mention the fact that I played the order of the phoenix for twice as long as both of these games combined and was only about 60% in if I remember right. Also the magic functions lik it should making you use the right analog stick to mimic the wand movement which is a little aqward until you get the hang of the 6 non-combat and the six combat spells. Maybe you should do a let’s play of it and you would probably see that it’s a lot more fun even with next to no combat.

Chamber of Secrets was EPIC! the rest sucked asss
theres actually one thing I never got in the last movie…….why do deatheaters (the story driving ones) turn to paper mache’ when they die, in the book they just died.
The Chamber Of Secrets on PS2, was actually very well made, and allowed you to explore hogwarts and find lots of cool places. And it got even more fun when you were given a broomstick and were allowed to fly around hogwarts as you please. I consider it one of the few good movie games, and loved every minute of it

The first 2 games on the PC were incredible, CoS is one of my all time favorite games for having great platforming, clever puzzles, top-notch soundtrack, and graphics that still hold up. I haven’t played 3 or 4, but 5 and 6 were sandboxes, and 5 on the PC was a PIECE OF SHIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Quidditch World Cup was a nice little distraction that was a pretty fun game. Joe, play 1 and 2 on PC, and you will change your mind on how all of them suck. Only 2 stand out as the best. However, 1 on the PS1 is, without a doubt, one of the WORST MOVIE GAMES OF ALL TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i agree, the first 2 on the PC were the best, the third one on the Pc was okay, when the 4th game came out it all went to shit. Try them out Joe!!!!!!!
I’ve only played the fifth one, and that one was interesting enough for me. The exploration and side quests kept me entertained.
…And seriously? Less than three hours? That’s horrible even for my very lenient standards. I’m usually very slow with a game, and that just sounds pathetic.
Harry Potter & The Order of the Phoenix was a pretty good game. A sandbox style game with allot more exploration, side missions, and hidden stuff. Basically Grand Theft Auto: Harry Potter. lol
I couldn’t agree more, I wanted to state this too but was too lazy. That game was one of the best (I’ve played a fair amount of them)

The Sorcerer’s Stone was actually really fun, I remember playing it a lot as a kid and it being enjoyable. I believe the 2 after it were also pretty fun, I can’t believe they turned that fun and charming adventure game into Gears of Potter. What a giant step down from even the first game considering that one was a lot of fun and a totally different genre (adventure as opposed to shooter).
Not that I played them but I know all the other Harry Potter games were proper action/adventure titles. They didn’t start this 3rd person shooter garbage until Deathly Hallows.
The first 3 Harry Potter games weren’t that bad. In fact, they were fairly decent for their time. The games had lots of adventure/RPG elements and provided a good sense of atmosphere. The last two games were truly horrible, but please don’t saddle the others with them.

I memorize the first Harry Potter games and then look at the Genre on this page. “Third Person Shooter”. Hah, I know there’s a war going on. I’ve read all books and watched every movie. What they should have remembered, that warfare in a world of sorcery is not quite what it is in… world of technology.
You know, there could have been ways to personate this, use many different spells as what they REALLY DO in the universe, and creatively use them as a weapon. Like bringing statues to life as they did in the movie, throwing levitated objects on enemies like you could do in the Goblet of Fire game. Transforming objects into enraged animals. A concept like this would have SO MANY possibilities, instead… they think that fans of Harry Potter and sorcery want Gears of War? I am very disappointed in how the end of the series turned out game-wise.
I think that Harry Potters games are not than bad especially because the are movie license games.
For the most parts I agree with fusionater: the 2. HP game was good for its time, 3. was wery fun bud sadly very short ( I was able to finish it in less than 3 hours ) , the 5. in my opinion was the best, the 6. was like the 5. but with less in the game ( that was a real disapointment after the 5. ), 4. was crap
and 1. was also good for its perion ( lets be hones the 1. was made a long time ago so it is a crap now, but then it was good).
I Admit that I havn’t played this game so I cant tell if it’s bad or not. But I can tell than I dont like the idea of this game ( the game really remind of a shooter game and that’s just not Harry Potter )

Joe I can PERSONALLY Recomend Harry potter and the Chamber of Secrets gamecube, and Harry Potter and the Sorcerors stone for the PC Very VERY GOOD Games but the others go downhill from there.
No. The PC versions are crap. They have always been crap. The PC versions are just watered down versions of the Playstation ones. If you were to play them then I would suggest you play them on ps1. I haven’t tried Gamecube but it is probably just as bad.
2 and 3 were great, 5 was decent. 4 was crap. haven’t played 6 and 1 was ok

WeeMand is right. The first two games did a lot of things right and where a lot of fun for young Harry Potter fans (as opposed to the old Potter fan I’m today).
These games had exploration, collectables, a fun way to integrate familiar spells, a colourfull world, wizardduels, varried missions and a awesome storybookway of telling the stories. 1 and 2 where also baed more on the books then on the movies.
The only good thing about these new games seems to be the voice acting of most of the original actors (Evanna Lynch FTW!).
The first 3 games are actually RPG-like. Talking to NPCs and gathering information, with some platforming and various fighting. At least I liked them, the rest of the series is on-rail awkward fighting.
Awww man , I can’t wait for your next review … I just started with this but then I watched nearly all of them. I really like them all. Keep up the good work ! Oh , and before I forget , the sad thing that in my country ppl buy this 2 Harry Potter game! On PC it’s in the top 6 on consoles it’s in the top 3!!! 3 god damn it! My ppl should watch your review… But wait! A lot of them DON’T WANT TO learn english or even if they do they just want to play games and watch videos with subtitles. Well , bad for them.
