Angry Joe PAX: Batman Arkham City, Crimson Alliance, Aliens Colonial Marines & Dead Island!
Here are four new Angry Joe Interviews from the floor of PAX 2011! This time Joe geeks out over his personal favorite Aliens movie in Aliens Colonial Marines. We ask if Dead Island can deliver an emotional experience as it did in its amazing trailer. Joe does his part to spread the word about a potentially great dungeon crawler on XBLA and finally we score new details about Batman Arkham City!

I’ve got my eyes on Colonial Marines. I’m a huge fan of the Alien franchise, and starting with Alien Resurrection, the franchise has been going down hill. Alien is in need of something to make it respectable again. Now whenever I mention Alien, they say, “You mean AVP?”
Gearbox, don’t screw this up. If this succeeds, maybe there’s hope for a new Alien movie, made by a more competent director.
I was the Colonial Marine in the background of the A:CM interview… Sorry for photobombing you, Joe, the other Gearbox producers made me do it! Glad you seemed to enjoy it, though. ;D

I stopped the batman interview at 2:00, he was spilling the beans a little too much. I prefer to not know what villains are in the game until i play it .
Arkham Ctiy will be awesome no doubt.
Crimson Alliance, never really paid much attention to it until now. But, it’s got 4 player local co-op? Considering my friends don’t want to play much outside of WWE games anymore that’ll be a nice treat.
Aliens looks good. My girlfriend would go ga ga for it I’m sure. Although she might not be happy that they’re basically saying Aliens 3 is out the door because she likes that one a lot.
Dead Island looks really good, definately need to get it at some point. But it’s not a “must-buy” for me.

is it just me or does dax ginn seem like an awesome guy to interview
Man, Dead Island.
First off I’m interested in it and hope it is a fun game.
That guy you were talking seemed like he didn’t know much though. There’s a bunch of stuff released already about the game and its coming out very soon- it’s kinda weird he wouldn’t answer alot of the questions.
It’s really hard for me to tell if it will be good or not. There are some amazing stuff released for it (not just that one trailer that apparently has nothing to do with the actual game that I hope they put on the CD, thatd be great bonus content- whoever made that put applaudable effort into it) but theres also their last game, and them being really strange about what they’ll talk about.
It’s hard for me to see on the onset if this is a game worth buying or not. Its one I really HAVE to wait for other peoples experiences with first before I can really tell if I want to get it.
I do hope its good though. It’s premise, to me, seems interesting.
I do agree, it’s a shame they didn’t go for the more character driven premise of that advert but the game could still be good.
I dont know, we’ll see. I am very interested to see how that pans out. The advert could be the most interesting and memorable part of that package- only time will tell.
Man, i regret buying this unpolished mess called a game, glitches all around, the driving is awkward to say the least ( you can see whats behind the car, ie. no rearview mirrors, they are there but doesnt reflect anything. ) You can turn around in the car, but not to look behind the car, i backed up over two cars and the game started to glitch out lol, the car humped away to the baloon song.
Weapons gets destroyed after a couple of zombies, and upgrades are lazy, you just click upgrade four times on a weapon and thats it, maybe with 4 friends its more fun, though im not letting my friends buy this, maybe when the price comes down… Total letdown, though i feared this might be the case when i saw the guy’s face which Joe interviewed, like “The story?”. There is no story, the characters are lacking and i could ramble on this game forever, look forward a Angry review though!

Also, I’m hoping for a Batman Beyond game after Arkham City.
I love how that crismon allieance game , is an arcade game and its 6 hours long , and kane and lynch 2 full retail is 4 hours …

I’m very glad you chose to do Dead Island Joe. I hope it’s a good game. Call of Juarez The Cartel was just a fail of a game on their part. I really hope this gamer is different. It better be, I have very high hopes for it.

Are you going to talk about mass effect 3 and if you lalk to them can you ask if they are doing anything new with the armor, like upgrading your companions armor as well as your own?
I’ve gotta say that Dead Island sounds pretty shitty to me. They could have made an emotionally involving story that actually drew the player into the game, but instead we get another FPS zombie killing game that they can’t release a single detail on. They do know they have to flaunt what their game can do in order to get hype from people right?
Arkham City looks amazing though, I loved Arkham Asylum and can’t wait for more Batman
The adaptable enemy system for Mr.Freeze is really impressive too!
so many things I could counter you on… but honestly it’s people like you that simply aren’t worth trolling. Look up stuff on youtube already, plenty of released gameplay, Interveiws, Trailers, Co-op, details, etc. to your hearts content. DO NOT judge a game by it’s cover, give it a chance and look it up, otherwise don’t speak.
gears of war 3 looks promising.

I don’t have XBL so Crimson Alliance doesn’t interest me at the moment, but Aliens, Batman & Dead Island look great!!!

man i can’t wait for to get Dead island and i really love how Batman Arkham City look’s. but the thing i have to say i am most into and really want them to nail is Aliens Colonial Marine i really hope it is better AVP and the fact that there is new type’s of aliens Hell yea ^^.

Never been a big fan of batman, but i gotta say I’m really looking forward to this game. Mainly because I’m a fan of open world games, but this one looks very unique and the length has peaked my interest even more.
Dead Island is another game I’ve been looking forward too, but after this interview I’m a little….meh. I hope it isn’t another generic first person shooter with limited amount of customization. I also always take it as a warning sign, when they don’t give out any information about the game. I understand they do this when the game is in development and they aren’t to sure whats going to work and whats not, but it’s coming out in a week! Why in the hell can’t they say how many Zombie types are in the game?
Other then that, great job Joe, Also, just created my account, great to be apart of the army.
Not to be a Jerk, but have you tried youtube on Dead Island. Lots of stuff you can find like Interveiws, gameplay, details, trailers, etc. They really are worth looking up if you are feeling… “meh”.

Sitting here and waiting for Batman: AC. The last game was a real positive surprise! Just hope they keep the investigate and stealth sections on top of the combat.
