I actually was able to beat the entire game sitting down. I just had to find a stool that has no back. Wasn’t the best seating experience, but it was better than standing for hours on end.
I’m just glad the 2 Joe puppets made up in the end.
Meh Dont own a Kinect but looka harmless enough.
A fun game for a small price, the kind of thing you play for 10 minutes to get a little relaxation from all the other in your face action games.

I bought this game cause in the dashboard it said OXM 9/10 . Well people, THIS GAME IS FREAKIN HORRIBLE, ITS SO FUCKING BORING, I CANT BELIEVE IT SCORED A 9 Yeah offcourse a magazine that works for MS will rate all MS titles highly. This game is a waste of time and no fun at all

7/10 is a fair score. Like Joe said, it’s not going to be popular with its target audience because it’s a Kinect only title. Kinda sucks most people won’t get to play it. It’s damn funny.

there are plenty of reviewers out there who will review what ‘you want to play.’ Joe is reviewing stuff that he wants to and trying to make it enjoyable for viewers. sometimes he reviews stuff he doesn’t want to, to satisfy viewers (ie the movie game series). i have enough fun watching him do what he likes.

i guess about two years ago, i got into angry joe. he was awesome, reviewing all the games i wanted to play, and giving the kind of reviews i wanted to see…
but who gives a fuck about half these games.

You see, angryjoeshow was, at one point, my game-finding lifeline. I work nights, and we don’t even bother with cable anymore. (whaats the point? everything i want to see is on netflix, which i have on xbox live) So when some new badass game comes out like assassins creed brotherhood, i kinda expect joe to run up the red flag. or the green flag, or the friggin white flag. or any review whatsoever, just not “NO” review. I mean no review? really?
It’s because of joe that i bought mass effect two, and red dead redemtion. I mean picture it, your at home, it’s 11:30, your nehpew and neice are passed have been to bed for hours, your freinds all have day jobs, and you work a night. even your girl is passed out cause she has to be up and at work at six, and you got three hours with nothin to do cause its tuesday. What game will you play? Hey i know, joe can tell me. except…. joe just reviewed a computer game i have never heard of, and my comp has trouble with his page, not to mention its a netbook. dont think you can play games on this. oh wait, yeah theres a 360 game, thor!!! er… eh… didn’t really want to play that one anyway…

I mean, i like your reveiws still, i just wish youd review ANYTHING i thought about playing. I dont need help on mw3, thats honestly a given at this point. Assassins creed was a left feilder for me though. i played brotherhood first, then 2, then ac, now i even reserved a copy of rev. and i dont reserve anything.
red dead was a left fielder too, and mass effect 2. both games with strong recomendations from this site, both games i gave full 100% compleations too, both with games on a turnover, or turned over twice.
really lookin forward to getting la niore(spelling?), looks fun. wheres more reviews like that? im seein peaks at games like colonial marines, and the new batman, will you be reviewing these??
i know your on a budgett like us, but dude, if you need some financial help to get games, just ask your veiwers. I’d chip in 20 bucks to see reviews id veiw, i bet others would too. if only ten folks responded, you’d have a slew of games.

Dude, you can’t expect Angry Joe to always be able to cover EVERY game out there, even the more popular ones. As much as I’d like to see him review those games, there are other things to consider. Besides, in case you forgot, he does post at Blistered Thumbs, and his fellow reviews have already reviewed Dead Island; Space Marines, I’m not entirely sure yet, but maybe. And while they all may not deliver comedy, they do deliver some pretty good reviews. Not to mention Dead Island has a lot of content and I heard there were quite a few bugs, so he may be having trouble, and that’s IF he got the game.
And if anything, his budget might be more than ours. For him, money shouldn’t be THAT much of an issue unless he spent it on games that he never planned on reviewing because of how bad they are, or if they are good, let his buddies at Blistered Thumbs take care of it.
Joe’s a great reviewer, but he isn’t Superman. And since he also tries to come up with comedy, maybe that’s a factor that can delay reviews: because he wants them both informative, and entertaining.
Besides, what’s the big deal? You keep waiting for someone’s approval for the game, and if you are not satisfied, either wait until the price goes down some more, or search for things like Let’s Plays. Watching one of X-Men Destiny convinced me not to get it.
Have to agree with FinalCros. Joe is one of Channel Awesome’s best reviewers, but he’s still just one person. If he gives the community what it wants and reviews every big title that comes out, the quality of his productions is going to take a hit. I can’t speak for everyone here, but I’d rather take one high-quality review of a game I’ve never heard of over a handful of cookie-cutter reviews of popular titles.

For some reason this reminds me of the N64’s Mystical Ninja series. In any case, The Gunstringer is the first game on the Kinect which actually interests me.

Both are pretty good, but I digress. I’m sure there will be better stuff out there soon… no wait there will be! Dark Souls, Battlfield, saints Row, and Skyrim await BABY!!!

No they are not. I don’t like overexaggeration. Both have positive reveiws ranging between 7-8.5. Last I checked 7 doesn’t mean awful, and don’t give me the whole “Oh but the Angry Joe score will bring them down to 1 derp, derp”, no it won’t. Not Every game he gives bad scores, or good scores wasn’t the same as other reviewers. Bad Company 2, Dragon Age 1-2, just Cause 2, Red Dead, AVP, Homefront, Deus Ex, and others ALL had the same score most other reviewers gave them. I’m not be littling Joe’s scoring because I believe this is the way to score a game, but it’s people like you that just don’t like the game who just say “OH IT’S BAD LOLOLOL!” “… uh, o.k. Why?” “LOLOL, YOU IZ NOOB, IT’S A BAD GAME! JOE WILL SAY!” “All the other reveiwers are pretty positive thou-” “OTHER REVIEWS?! YOU IS NOT AJ FAN, DIE! YOU LEAVE, NO COME BACK NOOB!”

Yes, MW2 nearly got a perfect score all around, despite it being a 1 trick pony that was simply a rehash of an older game. Scores aren’t completely synonymous with the quality of the product, and Dead Island and Space Marine are shining examples.
Want to know whats wrong with the video games industry today, then look no further than these two games. These two poor quality games that survive purely on hype and dominate niche markets enough to boost their credibility in the mainstream.
Dead Island is not fun and it is broken as shit. Space Marine is about as linear as a shooter as you can get. It does not have that summer blockbuster-esque feel that a game like Gears of War has and hence can’t really justify itself.
Dont be satisfied with mediocrity.

Yes I am a fan of 40k, but so what? The game was made for fans to enjoy thus I did. Dead Island just looked interesting and I bought it. Also, the games are not of poor quality. Yes they were over hyped, but I blame the game sites for doing that not the game itself. I expected nothing more than a 7 or 8 out of 10 in the first place and that’s what I got. Dead Island did start out broken but recent patches have fixed that and your claim is now unjustifiable. Space marines is a linear shooter yes, but so what? Don’t even start comparing it to Gears to because it’s nothing like that, and I’m supposed to be the fanboy here you hypocrite. Gears is just as linear in all games. News flash idiot, most shooters are linear. I also love how that’s the only reason you say it sucks, “It’s linear, and not like Gears”. Get a life, play other games, and stop being closed minded and bias.

These two games are the epitome of mediocrity, and you are satisfied with them. FYI I used CoD to show that score means nothing, but obviously you missed that in your rage, slamming your keyboard with cheeto covered fingers. And I used Gears as a comparison to SM because they are both excruciatingly linear games.
I don’t need to pull out all the arguments to why these games are bad. It’s pretty recognizable. I will leave it up to a review to do that. And 7/10 is not good enough, not unless you are some die hard fan of a series or you been following it from day one. If a new game comes out and it scores universally lower than 8 or 9, then its a shit game. Granted, these two games were no where near as overrated as Duke Nukem Forever or Daikatana, but they were still overly hyped and the 40k fans and the zombie game fans flocked over and positively reinforced these companies bad behavior.
No doubt we will now see sequels of these poor games. Another Space Marine game where you travel the brown road on the brown world. Another Dead Island game where you play everything is just boring as shit. Maybe they will rename the game to Kick boxer Island.
Stop being satisfied with mediocrity. Just cause you are willing to blow money on shit games doesn’t mean you should lie to people and pretend they are somehow worthy of their money. These games are not good enough for the amount they cost.

No. Was Dragon Age 2? No. How about this one, Gunstringer? No. So your claim that 7′s=Trash isn’t a very strong claim. All it means is that either some like it others don’t, that doesn’t make it bad it just means it’s not a 100% favorite for everyone. I don’t mind YOUR opinion, but what I do mind is that Just because YOU don’t like it, it’s clearly bad. Guess what the world doesn’t revolve around you, neither does the ratings. I even said it myself, hardcore zombies fans MIGHT like DI, and W40k fans like myself COULD fall in love with SM. Heck I’ve heard that in the U.K Space Marines has gone so far as being SOLD OUT in stores across the country. Your own ego is apparently so damaged you have to resort to inaccurate ad hominem claims simply to try and belittle my argument. It’s sad when that’s all you can dish out is “OH YAH, WELL YOU IZ FAT PERSONZ ON KEYBOARD WHO SPEND ALL DAY ON INTERWEBZ”. I’m typing this at work as I speak on my lunch just because I had to see your response, I work for Epic and I hate Gears of War, but do I think it’s bad, no! It’s just not my cup of tea.
If you don’t like the game, that’s fine. But don’t go posting “It’s a waste of money” “It’s Terrible” “7 out of 10 sucks” all because your close minded as I’ve stated before. Also the majority of Space Marines reviews state it’s an 8/10, so double middle fingers to you for being inconsistent with your statement. I have no idea what Joe’s score will be for these games, but I doubt they’ll be any lower than 6 for DI and 7 for SM.

Gotta admit, I was confused at you doing a review of this game when things like Space Marine and Dead Island are out, but after going on blistered thumbs and thinking that maybe you could review games that aren’t exactly well known and you think might be fun, I understood completely. Hell, it’s those types of reviews that can help gamers open their eyes to something new and cheaper, rather than spend 60 dollars on a game that may suck with no chance of a refund. I mean I never even heard of this game!
That, or to save money till the price goes down, or to just warn people about games that may not be that good despite a lower than average console game price, or something like that; that’s what I tend to do sometimes. Plus if your buddies at blistered thumbs already did it, than you covering more ground with other games just makes more sense, getting more games reviewed, unless you share opposing opinions.
