Skyrim deserved a 3 out of 10. The game was a piece of crap, I never played Oblivion before and I don’t know how much it had improved but from what I see; the game is crap. People shouldn’t review the game base on how much they improved form the last game. The graphic was poor and looks very bad, so as the textures detail; I don’t care if the mods make game sooo much better or improve the graphic significant. The game should be good without the mod, a game that needed mod to make it fun isn’t a good game. The good things about Skyrim is that it had many optional mission and that you can be a werewolf or vampire. I will not review the story line since I never actually finish the game because its crap.
Skyrim was a broken mess. The skill system is hugely unbalanced. If you just level up enchant, for example, you’ll be to create armour-sets that grants you infinite magicka. Levelling up, period, is fucked up, because of the horrendously stupid decision to have all enemies level up alongside you — making all the non-combat skills useless. The combat is lifeless and lacks any sort of impact of feeling. There’s barely put ANY effort into the main story line. The AI is some of the dumbest I’ve seen in a game; being outsmarted by doing something as simple as putting a low obstacle between you, like a bolder, and they’ll never even be able to hit you. And I’m not even going to get into the insane amount of bugs. And, yeah, RPGs usually have a fair share of bugs, but nothing like this. This is just unacceptable. I wasn’t even able to complete the main quest because bugs constantly made progress impossible.
I respect your opinion, Joe, but 10/10? No fucking way. Not when it was barely playable for a third of the platforms it was released for. Did they pay you for that score?
Wow! clearly you’re in the majority of opinion on this game. I mean it’s obvious that no one liked this game but Joe! I mean go to ANY game review site and they hate this game right? Oh wait no they didn’t! In fact the majority of reviewers and players loved this game and many consider it the best game of the year. It’s one thing to accuse a reviewer for giving a great review to a mediocre or lousy game when the majority opinion from reviewers and players hate the game but don’t accuse him of being in the pockets of bethesda for giving a great review to game that is a critical and financial success! you’re entitled to your own opinion about the game but keep the stupid accusations to yourself please.

Definitely one of the best games I’ve ever played, if not THE best. Of the houses I’ve seen so far, I like the one in Markarth the best. it doesn’t have the best layout or display stuff, but it’s definitely got the best decorations, and loads of bookcases (I love collecting books too).
Another thing I like about the game is that you still have the chance to use the other skills. Even as a tank, I still use things like muffle and oakflesh. Plus healing spells also help save you money. When I have the chance, I will use my bow with poisoned arrows to try to soften up enemies at a distance before charging them.
I may be a member of a very small group, but I did not like beast mode. I could see it being more useful if I were not a dual wielding orc tank. If I played as a mage or thief, I could see it coming in handy but it almost seemed like a disadvantage. The cons are really bad IMO.
I very rarely play these type of games, not really a fan of fantasy, but this game is one of the best ones I have ever played. I think I like it better than Fallout 3 (which I loved). I have put in tons of hours, and have not gone deep into the story nor joined a side (not sure if I will if not forced too).
Joe I hope you won’t give it anything over 8/10… personally I rate it as 7.5/10 – it’s just polished oblivion with winter mod.
It has a lot of bugs and freezes and the interface in PC version is just a console port. it’s just horrible.
Don’t get me wrong – the game is nice but it’s not the new quality like Oblivion or Morrowind.
When I’m playing Skyrim I’m feeling that I’m playing ‘Oblivion: Final Winter Edition’ – not a new product…
This game is the best game I have ever played, it may be buggy, and somtimes annoying as hell but I have played over a hundred hours since its release, about 11 days. This is completely just SIDE QUESTS have not start one of the factions that are joinable. Some of the best content in the game you will find in the side quests. Some of these stories are drew me in more than the main quest it self on my first character. DON’T RUSH THE FULL REVIEW, DO IT AFTER THE FULL 300 HUNDRED HOURS, Enjoy

it makes a mor FULL PALETTE of COLORS, the grass and trees are greener, and the water is now deep blue, just beautifull.
So if you LOVE the game, but think like: ¨hey it´s everything too gray!¨, i want to share with you this marvel… interiors look better now, nights darker,… and it DOESN¨T make the game slower whatsoever.

I found the enemies to be a bit weird in their difficulty level, Dragons are piss easy while snow trolls rape you -_-
Every single negative thing i can say about skyrim is totally destroyed by the levels of awesome seen in this game
I’ve been playing for 80+ hours and I still haven’t got bored.
around the 60 hour mark i was getting a tiny bit bored of playing as a destruction mage. Looking for something else to do i started smithing. because of the smithing i start making legendary bows for sale. i then try out a bow in combat
sudden massive flashback to playing the f**k out of theif II back in the day
now i’m doing the theives guild stuff as a stelth archer and loving the game in a whole new way
i’ve not even touched fighter style combat…..
this game man. thins mother-effing game.
i also love how… well to put it in layman’s terms everyone is a dick.
in fallout 3, DA:O and mass effect 1 all the choices were fairly obviously good or evil. later games like new vagas started putting more complexity in the system like with NCR being mostly good but a bit authoritarian.
with skyrim nobody is the good guy. the storm clocks initially look like a god option but then appear to be frankly racist. the empire start out by almost executing you and f**king over relgious independance but start looking like the best option for multi cultural tollerence.
on top of that you have the mirror image situation of the nords and forsworn in the reach.

I got bored after 12 hours I tried to enjoy it but the enemies are pathetic most don’t touch me on as hard as a difficulty as it goes. I wanted to love this game so much I just can’t do it
Trying turning up the difficulty, I am pretty sure its an option.
Honestly, I’ve played it and I’m yet to be drawn into it. The last rpg I liked was the dragon age series. Even DA 2 was easier to get onto liking then this.
Woot! Hey Joe, looking forward to your review. I was so enchanted by Morrowind that my purchase and playthrough of anything ES related is pretty much a foregone conclusion – just iced the final boss on this one, and it’s a BLAST! And to think, there’s still a couple hundred hours of content to go O.o
Not including mods, of course. My friend is actually running this just fine on an older PC, and it makes me wonder, what kind of PC does Joe have that he would get this on console?
Hey, Joe, it would be awesome for your review if you had a segment to illustrate how badass the magic system is now where you–as Darth Joe; not your character–fight a dragon and rape it with Force Lightning, while screaming “POWEEEEEERRR!!! UUUNNNLLLIIIMMMIIITTTEEEDDD… POWEEEEEERRR!!!”
I dont know how anyone who owns a decent PC would want to play this on Xbox or ps3, All the mods that are coming to this game for PC are going to be sooooo awesome, more content more customization… not to mention the graphics. Its a waste to play this on consoles in my opinion
Well…constant game crashes comes to mind as a reason not to get it on the pc, but, whatever, it’s still an awesome game no matter what version you play!
Hey Joe there actually is a algirhythm for the AI, they ask to pick up the objects you drop. I once dropped a shield and about 5 to 10 seconds later someone came up and asked me if the could pick it up. Also the houses are AWESOME!!!!! You can put your books on the shelf so you don’t have to throw them on the ground like an illiterat. I also finished the game too, they ending is EPIC!!!!!! Not going to ruin anything but you get to open a 9 layer ass woopin’ on you know who and some dragons may not be that bad. If you don’t believe me go to the throat of the world. They only complaint is that the story is pretty short.

DO NOT RUSH THIS REVIEW. Let all the shitty “professional” critics do that. Sites like Gamespot rush reviews on hyped up games so they can say “FIRST1111 WATCH OUR SITE WE RULE” but then half ass cover the game and leave out half the stuff you actually want to hear about it. Their reviews are horrible and I hate 5min videos such as theirs that barely scratch the material they are on. I have no idea why people go to those sites, as opposed to things like BlisteredThumbs or Giantbomb(or here( where games are actually covered with some degree of effort, emotion, and honesty.

Agreed. IGN seems a bit “It’s not CoD so it’s crap” style. Seems to be the problem with many reviewers, but it’s not the case with Joe. He isn’t afraid to piss off the mainstream kids or diehard fans of some franchise.
And also agree on the rushing. Open world games are not designed for rushing. I hate to see these people who play the new Fallout games and just finish the main story then saying “damn, this was boring. With games like this, the main story is less than a half of the content. You DO NOT rush open world RPG’s, it’s like buying PS3 to play PS2 games. Waste of money and potential.

What crap are you talking about? Skyrim is also a hyped up game and got everywhere high rankings though it has so many negs that really suck but noone mentioned. And Joe seems to go the same way. And when he got his ass kicked in Dark Souls he will be even happier with such a crappy combat system like in Skyrim.
no offense bro, but Skyrim is also one of the most overhyped RPGs ever. Next to DA2 and even that crappy DA2 got a decent high ranking by Joe.
