Gettysburg: Armored Warfare Out Now!
DAMN! I wish I was back home so I can download and try out Gettysburg: Armored Warfare! It’s definitely one of the first things I plan on doing when I get back!
I’ve been looking forward to this little creative indie gem for awhile now, such a crazy cool concept, future Tech mixed with the American Civil War in both RTS and Third-Person-Shooter modes. Danny Green who I interviewed here programmed the entire game from scratch himself, a regular one man army! He was a fun guy to talk to and certainly filled with passion, hope it turns out well; and from what I see its already in the Top Sellers on Steam!
The game is on Steam for $9.99 Here! Download it, give it a try!
Tell me what ya think! As soon as I get back I’ll be giving it a shot too with a video to follow!

I bought this game for $10… ONLY TO HAVE IT CRASH EVERY TIME I PLAY IT!!!!!
Not usually a fan of strategy war games, but it could be fun.
I couldn’t less interested in this RTS. Future technology during the Civil War? Why not just have a game with normal Civil War stuff? That’d be a lot more interesting to me… What’s next? Will we play a medieval game where people with gatling guns are mowing down knights? Yawn… I still hope you review the game though because that would interesting to watch.
Agree with you totaly man.
Agree, there’s not enough (accurate) Civil War stuff
While the concept was creative, i really felt that using more civil war weaponry would have made for a more interesting experience, also I suffered from some really annoying bugs as well.
Oh… just read through the comments. Did not realize how many people already are referencing TB’s video.
TB made a good first impressions video:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l3VaSl5jhPA
By no means was that a good video.
I love TBs videos and all.
But I have not experienced any of the issues that he has.
And I’ve played for around 12 hours.
It’s apparently a buggy mess and doesn’t work right. At least that’s what I’ve seen.
It’s pretty cool, the concept is great. But it IS buggy. Not as buggy as TotalBiscuit made it out to be at all, but they are there. I’ve had a couple of random invisible walls, a couple of dodgy animation freezes and laggy MP. It just seems that it may have been forced out before he could have tested it on different machines.
But for less than £10, I’m more than glad to support this 1 person developer, with the promise that it will get properly patched and updated. Plus MOD TOOS are coming
So what it sounds like to me is the publisher made him push it out early and thats why its in such a poor state, but it looks like the creator is doing everything he possibly can to make it right
Exactly. The developer did NOT want the release to be like this.
I saw TB do a review of this….Its sucks, the units don’t respond all that well, the skybox crashes or wont loads. The game will crash, I saw the zeplins once just disaperd into the ground and random tanks explode.
Either I’m lucky or those have already been patched out of the game. I havn’t seen any of those bugs after 11 hours of gameplay.
Your not missing much Joe. It’s another Sword of the Stars 2. Next time you talk with the Paradox guys tell them to stop putting unfinished games on the market. Or if they must then at least let them sell Beta access like some other more respectable game makers are doing these days.
Seems pretty cool. Hey, I always wanted to kill some people in a RTS game. maybe it can turn the tide around?
Stay away! Extremely buggy right now hope it gets better because it sounded great.
Yes, it has its fair share of bugs. Yes, the Army Skirmish mode servers are currently down.
But the game has a unique charm to it, is fun to play, in my opinion and its one-man development studio is already working tirelessly on patches.
Plus, 10 bucks, you guys. Though, I forked over 10 Euros… gladly!
$10 eh?
Even if it’s got a few problems, I don’t think parting ways with $10 is gonna dent my pocket any. Plus, it’ll give me a reason to NOT go see a crappy movie tonight, and it’ll help this upcoming developer out.
Looks like it could be fun though. I’m a closet fan of rts and tps, so this could be a good experience.
You sir are an idiot. 10 dollars is a lot if you waste it on a turd. Learn the relative value of money please
you’d get more fun out of a crappy movie at lest with a friend you can rip on it. trust me.
You are underestimating how buggy this game is.
… Meh. The gimmick of a Steam Punkish war setting isn’t all that new, but the game did interest me a little, and for the price it sounded like a pretty good deal. I checked the video and… yeah, not worth it as of now. Until it gets patched… HEAVILY, I wont spend $10 on it. I WILL however get Sine Mora.
Nearly as buggy as Sword of the stars 2 on release.
On a note unrelated to my previous message chain

Look at what the dev posted
“”It needed more time to be completed.
- Dan”"
So Paradox again pushes the devs to release unfinished game… Awesome stuff Paradox!
So yes. The game may be buggy and unfinished. But that doesn’t mean it’s not worth it.
I can see this game becoming even more fun after being completed.
And the user mods.
Dear god.
I hope someone makes a vietnam mod. A huey transport vehicle would be ridiculous for this.
Would you encourage people to buy a new car missing all tires, too?
Sorry, but I don’t see a reason to reward anyone releasing unfinished products. Players should receive money for beta-testing stuff like this.
Seriously, don’t buy this game…yet.
It’s a buggy, unplayable mess and needs a major overhaul in almost every aspect.
Honestly.
Not playing a game because it’s buggy is a little bit harsh.
Armored Warfare is a lot of fun for me.
And the Dev is already getting a patch out soon.
I’m not interested in the game but I did look at the video people mentioning. The game is not only buggy, it’s unplayable. Which is a real shame especially because it’s second recent Paradox release that just doesn’t work/is not finished.
It’s not unplayable.
I’ve played over 9 hours. All of which have been fun.
HONESTLY TB had serious issues with the game. NONE of which I have yet to encounter.
I’ll be uploading gameplay soon.
Oh and to reiterate the point of not playing a game because it’s buggy is harsh.
Anyone remember magicka’s release.
I sure do.
Relesing a broken unfinished game is wrong and should be punished, the game might be fun but there are to meany bugs to much time spent avoiding them.
Harsh ? Dud you have to be harsh or they will think they can do this crap, i will buy and play it when it’s clearly finished and is atleast 80% free of bugs, as to how you played 9 h of the game without eany problems is unbelivable
The difference is how broken the games are. For Magicka, wasn’t the game’s net code just bugged as hell so multiplayer would hardly work? With this game EVERYTHING is bugged. Multiplayer and single player. Hell you’ll go into a map, and the sky box won’t even load in.
Joe don’t promote something that you have not tried because TB made a WTF and the game is bugy and unplayable as all of the coments have said before.
It’s in the top sell on steam realy ???!! Does that mean it works? I would think not >.>
The game’s fun when you’re drunk. Other than that, it gives me a headache.
TotalBiscuit made a vid on the game. Its a buggy, broken piece of shit. Great idea behind it, but it will only remind you of SWORD OF THE STARS 2!!!
Paradox always have greet idea`s for games , But they still using low & Cheep quality graphic`s & Engine`s . I wish they get a lot of Support & Money So that they can Upgrade there Stuff`s .
You may want to wait a bit before downloading the game.
TB made a WTF is of this game and it was… not good. Not good at all.
Might want to wait a while.
I hear it’s buggy as living hell at release.
10$? eh might as well try it…
