If I buy this I will only buy it for dancing for exercise haha but no I will give this game 2,1 for dancing only,
I tried out the demo for Star Wars Kinect and Joe is right. Movements hardly registers and I feel like fighting the game than enjoying it. Galactic Dance off mode is the only mode I’ll play when I have it, which I’ll never buy.
We are fairly certain We have look at this identical sort of statement anywhere else, it needs to be more popular with the people.
They should do a Podracer game using these mechanics. (Improving them of course where they are weak.) Maybe add co-op and online? Add a SHIT TON OF MAPS and if they don’t already have this, AI difficulty settings? (Meh?)

amazing how the game captures joe dancing, but joe ain’t movin’ a muscle
hahaha, I notice in his bad reviews he doesn’t censor swearing to make it just a tiny but funnier.
he censors some, but not all of it, the censor does make some jokes funnier
I kinda want to get this game just because of the dance mode. It looks absolutely hilarious.

They were going to make Star Wars Battlefront 3, then they canceled it at the last minute. In return they gave us Old Republic Online, amd for laughs they gave us this!!!???? Star Wars aren’t meant for this type of system at all. I hope 1313, a first rated M game in Star Wars history is going to be good.

it just makes me wonder how high was the creative team when they came up with this concept? seriously a star wars dance game? what were they on? where can I get some? probably the same stuff for the people who created the jungle book 2 dance game ( yes it does exist)
okay i know alot of peice of shit games no one else heard of but i think you beat me
at least give jar jar some slack. the clone wars series has redeemed him a little, showing that he can be useful when needed. he is observant of his surroundings at least, is less clumsy, and can be somewhat careful and less annoying; he helped in capturing general grievous, though of course it took a sacrifice to capture him.
also, at least he was just reacting to the situations he was in; thing fucking try to kill him, he panics. i kind of like jar jar in the moves……… as a concept rather than the execution, and see what they were doing. they wanted to make a more realistic character in the sense of that not everyone is a total badass princess, jedi, wookie, or outlaw. jar jar was just an unlucky individual who got caught up in a situation he could not handle.
still they rather failed the execution.
this droid is far more annoying cause at least jar jar kind of made sense in his reaction, and she is asking if someone wants refreshement after an accident.

I showed this review to a few friends. One who actually wanted to buy this game. We were laughing the ENTIRE TIME! I then asked my friend if he wanted to still buy, and he was unsure. Man Joe can be pretty convincing! Love that!
But anyways, I think the Kinect will always have a bar that it will never be able to just hop over. Sure it has games like Dance Central, and Michael Jackson, but it needs to look and study the faults that most games seem to have, and improve on those. If they improved on upcoming games and made sure that every motion was sensed in the game, the Kinect’s popularity could skyrocket overnight. I really do hope that the Kinect gets its act together in the near future.
There’s still no reason for me to get a kinect.

Why does the Kinect have soo many bad titles? why can’t developers make one ground breaking title or at least something decent, this really just makes the Kinect not worth a purchase and a failure for Microsoft, I guess developers just can’t create decent motion controls and just make every game for the Kinect a Dance Central clone, even just take a license like Star Wars and take a massive shit on it and trolling all the Star Wars fans . It’s sad how the Kinect had soo much potential but became a massive disappointment as developer soon started making titles on it, and thought it would be awesome for a game to have HD graphics and motion controls that don’t require a controller but instead we get this… In my opinion the PS3, Xbox 360. and Wii is so far the worst console gaming generation. and I really think Sony, Microsoft, and Nintendo should really step up their game, especially with accessories,

The dance mode, esp with Vader and the Emperor, killed something inside me. The whole motion sensor type of game is the most stupid scheme I have seen (so far). Who could stand up for hours doing this kind of input? Other than dancing or guitar playing, it is one of the worst ideas, and most pathetic, I have endured.

The voice acting sounds like shit (EVERY MODE WITH PEOPLE IN), and the people look like wax models with hyper-active pistons (in the dance mode only).

Joe I have been a fan of the LucasArts StarWars franchise since when they came out with the revenge of the sith call me a nerd but this is just disappionting for a good series I’m I started laghing my butt off when I wen’t into the Galactic Dance-off but also confused I seriously thought it was some type of joke on LucasArts behalf but it is not really a game that suits the StarWars series.
I must admit the lyrics are quite catchy. I’m Han Solo, I’m Han Solo…
Joe i respect your opinion and grant it you do bring up excellent points but i believe that you gave this game quite the unnecessary beating. For example i for one did not expect much from the dueling but i did enjoy it a little mainly due to the fact that it reminds me of infinity blade 1 and 2 (both great apps you all should totally support them). Also i admit although stupid i got a huge laugh out of the dancing and still do (i agree that there should have been something to keep track of your current stars). Rancor rampage also is something i play around with because destroying crap is fun in a mini game. Also although it could have been so much more the main story was still entertaining.
I think the reason why certain parts of this game works better then other parts is because different groups worked on each part. That is the only reason that I can think of why the spaceship section works so well… >_>
Also this is my favorite review of Joe being angry only because I like the dance of part and Joe’s reaction to it was funny.
Joe you need a team to help you out with this stuff, like let Other Joe do a review every once in a while to let you cool of some after a really crappy games.
I’m mad this even exists!!! As a kid and even now I hoped and prayed that someone would make a game where I could be a Jedi. Construct and wield my lightsaber in epic duels between good and evil. Force push and even go a little renegade and shock someone with force lightning a.k.a. UNLIMITED POOOOOOWAAAAAAAAA!!!!!@$##$%$!~~…….and I’m still waiting. Only reason why I have it is because I really wanted the star wars edition 360 for some reason and it was in there. The dancing is kinda fun though especially when you’re drunk. Get your friends over it’s gonna be a barrel of laughs.
Even after I’m dead, knowing that a Star Wars game like this was EVER made, will haunt me. Great review

The only reason I have this game is because I wanted the star wars 360.
While I normally agree with Joe, there are some points I disagree with.
A) Princess Leia dancing to Jabba WOULD happen if she believed he would have her killed.
B) The Campaign did make you feel like a Jedi, as long as you didn’t try anything too advanced, and besides Jennifer Hale voiced Marva Zane. You can’t get much better than that.
C) The Speeder Bike sections were easy for me, I was able to do them without much difficulty – it’s just the fact that your arms get sore after a good deal of time.
And the Galactic Dance Off was funny as hell! Some of the songs are really creative on how they change the lyrics to fit the Star Wars universe, and some of the dance moves have some pretty funny names to them. {IE: Trash Compactor}
Anyway, that’s just my opinion. The review was still awesome, Joe.
I gotta disagree with Joe here. I finished the campaign not long ago and it was a lot of fun. It made you feel like a jedi and I did in fact use my force powers. All the time. I also had no problem with the landspeeder sections, they registered just fine. Though my DID get pretty from holding them up so long.
The galactic dance off is just hilarious, in a good way, and a lot of fun once you unlock the harder difficulties. I haven’t had a chance to try the other modes yet, so I can’t rate it. But from what I’ve played, it’s much higher than 3. At least a 7.
But anyway, that’s just my opinion. I would have no qualms about recommending this to other people

The terrible lightsaber duels was completely expected as the kinect can’t read body movements well. The second I saw it on G4 I knew it was going to be bad.

i found this review quite harsh yes the dueling is very basic and boring but the podracing and the rancor rampage were good fun although jedi destiny could have been a lot better it shouldn’t of been on rails
