Torchlight II: First Impressions
Jacob and Angry Joe play through the first bit of the Torchlight II Beta. By adding 4 player multiplayer groups to its feature list can this smaller fan favorite thrive after the release of the big budget Diablo 3?

Personally i like Titan Quest
The guys that develop this game made diablo, diablo2 and diablo 2 – lord of destruction, the copycat is diablo 3, the big multimillionaire actvision blizzard got the rights of the game diablo since the people who made it worked under the name of blizzard, nothing else. The games can be compared, just remember that this is an indie game, the infrastructure is like an ant near a mountain in comparison to blizzard’s, that makes you think what Diablo 3 should be, not a little better than this game but the fuck damn a lot hell of better than this game, they had all the time and money they needed to do a masterpiece revolutionary to the genre, like they did with starcraft 2 for example, to be compared with torchlite 2 is insulting to them because they had much more money and time and infrastructure to make Diablo 3.
So your saying Diablo 3 is better than Torchlight 2 because more money was poured into it?That’s the stupidest thing I’ve ever heard, how much money that was spent on a game’s development has nothing to do with how good it is.Want me to prove it?Three words:The Old Republic. The most expensive MMO ever made, and most people don’t even consider to be a good MMO.In fact it tanked so hard they had to convert to a free-to-play model because they weren’t getting enough subscriptions to even the 200 million dollars they spent on the game.So there’s proof right there that big budgets do not equal great games, I don’t think I even need to say anymore than that.
Oh wait, I have one other thing to add.Have you ever heard of a movie called Waterworld? It was one of the most expensive movies ever produced…and it sucks.Seriously, there’s barely anything redeemable about the movie.Bad acting, bad story, bad dialogue, bad action, dull sets and special effects. So you see, money has nothing to do with how good something is, what’s far more important is how innovative and how creative something is, which Diablo 3 is not, it’s simply a rehashing of the Blizzard formula in order to make more money.
wtf dude calm down, “So your saying Diablo 3 is better than Torchlight 2 because more money was poured into it?” I didn’t get that impression from the comment at all, it was more like he was saying that Blizz should feel ashamed that they had the money and infrastructure to create an awesome game and they r being compared to an indie game which is arguably better…unless he DID mean what u thought.
But… but I liked WaterWorld T_T
He’s actually saying Diablo 3 SHOULD be a LOT better than Torchlight II considering the whole lot of money and time they had available to make it, but it’s not.
