The issue is that most of those games are quite overpriced. They want 10$ for what is not only old, but horrid games. Like anyone in their right mind would even pay for Ultima 8.

Bought around 50 games there and got nearly as much on my wishlist.
It’s really great that Joe has recognized Gog as a positive phenomenon in the games industry and that it should be supported. I’m personally not at all against Gog selling never games as well as older ones – to me it’ll always be Good Old Games.

100 codes? How cheap, that’s worse than Microsoft’s lame giveaways. Could’ve handed out a reasonable amount, and you know, actually been generous. Still, I support GoG for their anti-DRM policy.
the majority of games on the site are or under 9.99 so it isn’t that cheap. plus, 9.99 times 100 is quite a bit of money to just give away. Wish i could have gotten a code though

actually no. they patched securom out of the retail version pretty early on because it caused severe performance issues.

The GOG guys seem really awesome and know how to get people interested in their site and offer awesome stuff like this where you could get something like The Witcher for free.

Such a shame this giveaway happened when I was sleeping, would have loved Sacred or something else. I did participate in Jesse Cox’s giveaway already, although chances of winning there are very slim.
I’ve been a fan of GoG for a few years now and it’s been nice to see them grow to what they are now. Also, it was nice of them to invite you and Jesse there.
