OMG! Jackie Chan has an Arcade Fighting GAME! Yessss!
“I’m Jackie Chan. This is my game!” Hell yes. I freaking LOVE Jackie Chan, I never even knew this existed! It’s called Fists of Fire. I WANT THIS.
And just as it should be there are THREE Jackie Chan’s in the Fists of Fire, each with a different costume and fighting style!
Haha, I love the jackie move where he lunges at you with his butt -”Drunken Woman Style” from Drunk Master. Watch this below now if you have never seen it.
More details of the actual game:
The game was later updated and retitled as Jackie Chan in Fists of Fire: Jackie Chan Densetsu (ジャッキー・チェン FISTS OF FIRE 成龍伝説, lit. “Jackie Chan in Fists of Fire: Legend of Jackie Chan”?).
Jackie Chan in Fists of Fire: Jackie Chan Densetsu is an upgraded version of The Kung-Fu Master Jackie Chan that was also released the same year exclusively for the arcades, and was the very last fighting game Kaneko released before their bankruptcy in 2006. It adds a desperation move system, an improved combo system with a special combo counter above the lifebars that records the highest number of combos during a match, and an “escaping” feature where players can struggle out of combos or stand up as fast as possible by rapidly moving the control stick and tapping the buttons simultaneously. Fists of Fire also makes all three versions of Jackie Chan into playable characters expanding the roster up to nine playable characters, and makes adjustment to the character balance by strengthening and weakening the statistics of certain playable characters from the first game, while adding and removing a few moves to some of them. The palettes of Lau, Yeung and Thorston were heavily modified as well. The opening intro is a modified version of the first game’s intro, but the rest of the game’s graphics are not that different.” -ZDLR221 on Youtube

Haha I just watched Drunken Master a few weeks ago, love that flick!
Mehhhhh im more of a Jet lee fan in fact to me it looks like a old school mortal kombat rip off
Hahah…looks fun.
Might try it. But I prefer Mugen. Jackie is in it too. Hell, EVERYONE is in it.
LOL! Jackie is tha sheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet!
I’ve always loved jackie. Mans awsome!
Different fighting styles in other fighting games would be awesome!
Actually, Jackie Chan did have a game based on his image long time ago on PSX. It was called Jackie Chans Stuntmaster. Action-Fighting-Platformer. Great Game by the way. Reviews around 85% on average.
Nostalgic reminded me of the good old school MK and SF movie Vandame game. One thing I hated about this game back then is that the damage of the characters are so freakish.
We have to get this ported to Xbox Live Arcade and PSN Store… with Chun Li Jackie Chan as a bonus playable character!
Chun Li Jackie Chan? What movie was that from?

It’s from this clip. I’ve never actually seen the movie but this scene is awesome.
Its From “City Hunter” , really good movie
Isn’t that from a Japanese Manga: “City Hunter”?
Yeah it is. Back in the 90s City Hunter and Dragon Ball Z were really popular so they keep making movies roughly based on them.
Ah, the memories. I used to play during my young days in the arcade. Still the best Jackie Chan game ever in my opinion.
This looks pretty awesome for a ’95 game. The mocap looks a little silly in some places, but I would be lying if I said I didn’t want to at least try this game out…
The game looks okay considering it was release in 95. I remember watching Drunken Master on VCD.
In terms of acting, Jackie Chan is not bad of an actor. When I was young during the 90s, I always watch his movies.
Did you know Jet Li also performed drunken style too?
I forgot to mention this if you watch Jackie Chan movies or any Chinese movies, always set the language to Chinese with English subtitles. I know it is a pain to read but the acting is more genuine when they speak in Chinese and you don’t have to listen to the gawd awful dubs.
Am i the only one who doesnt like Jackie Chan? The only one who thinks that his humor and acting is garbage? Okay, so he can fight, but he cant act.
You aren’t watching his movies for his acting.
You ARE watching for his amazing choreography, fast paced fight scenes, brilliant use of props, and the somewhat oddball slapstick humor that occurs from it. It’s interesting that you can have incredibly fast, badass fights and stunts combined with a bit of humorous situations, a nice change from people who take themselves entirely too seriously such as Jet Li
It’s also interesting that very few of his movies are actually comedies, just the blend of the unusual situations tends to make things funny even when very few or no jokes happen.
To be fair, not EVERY role Jet Li has done has been a serious one. He has done a few movies at least wherein the character he played was more whimsical, and the much more recent Forgotten Kingdoms did have him play a character who wasn’t entirely serious, as well as playing the Monkey King.
But I agree, you don’t watch Jackie Chan for thought-provoking story-telling and Oscar-worthy acting, you watch Jackie Chan for the crazy fun fight scenes. You can say that about plenty of kung-fu flicks as well. It doesn’t hurt when the movies do have both, but its far from essential.
But i also want good action, and its a pitty that not so many awesome actors are good actors, although Harrison Ford is both a pretty good actor AND hes awesome.
But i guess you are right. His fighting is amazing, but him and Chris Tucker in Rush Hour. Oh my god how catastrophical that is.
Hey Joe im an argentinean fan. I found the rom for this game in case you want it. Here is the link.
Keep up the good work, even though I speek in spanish, I still have a lot of fun with your videos.

Thx for the link dude :b
OH HELL YES!
This game is sooo weird. I like how the sprites change sizes when you do certain moves.
Hey Joe this is completely unrelated to this post but what do you think of Diablo 3 so far besides the server/lag issues? Considering that Blizzard had almost 12 years to work on it, do you think they did a good job?
Joe who’s that dude playing with you with spoke cantonese?
HELL YES
i FUCKIN love that scene from the drunken master!!!!
Holly Crap!
Uhh…there was always Jackie Chan Stuntmaster on PS1, one of my all-time favourite PS1 game. Check it out Joe, it’s more fun than most crap we get now a days. Hell the animations on that game are better than Skyrim’s and ME’s imho xDDD
You have to be joking. That game is crap. I hope youre not serious.
Well then, you mustn’t have played it as a child, it was the shitt, nostalgia hits deep.
Yeung wants it lol
