Yes i love DC and fighting games. have the makers of mortal combat involved. worth every penny. probably alot better than mortal combat vs DC.
Already Preordered and ready to play.
It looks promising
Hope its better than DCvsMK but so far it looks like , i mean there are alot of items in the maps to keep the game fresh and also the enviroment changes a bit so that should be fun mostly thought im hoping for a large roster because i dont think just a couple of heros and villans would do it for me
i’m completely shocked that there’s not alot of people wanting to get this! and i KNOW that as soon as Joe gives it a 9/10 (let’s face it. the fact that it’s a Netherrealms game AND a DC game…its Joe. c’mon.) that people will say “Oh yeah! i was behind this ONE HUNDRED PERCENT! I just uh…I just needed to let all the lesser people get the game first!”
i admit I am just as shocked too but i Can understand in many ways. Netherrealms studio is known for making great games but not balanced ones for competitive fighters but still great games. In MK9 the characters with either teleport or extremely aggressive combat poise had the strongest edge over characters like Kano, Striker, Baraka, sub-zero ect. So i can sympathize with Fighting Gamers but the game does look good in many aspects of visuals and creative ideas. I can understand the feelings that this game is simply a “Ge-mick” from what some do say. Or even Fears that the game is going to be unbalanced even though they have Testers claimed to be Pros (no Pugh intended) But i do feel that if a game is the same play style than another game but does it better than what it is inspired by, Who Cares. If someone was using the same character as my own but simply better it shouldnt matter. But i believe this game will score high points simply because Neitherrealm is very good at compensating for Ideal Fighting mechanics.
Oh good lord not another Mortal Kombat.
Second line same as the first.
It’s not really Mortal Kombat. There’s little blood, there’s no fatalities. It’s just DC universe if it became an overthetop battle against heroes and villains.
I am looking forward to this. The reason is ..
1) I kinda like how its just DC Universe by itself, with means there are 100% more focus just on the DC characters.
2) Also this are the guys who made the last Mortal Kombat, If it has the same gameplay than I know Im getting quality for the game.
my only complain is that since DC is such a big universe, chance are there are going to a few characters going to be left out.
Looks good for idea, but somehow am not swayed by DC universe themed fighting game. There is already Mortal Kombat vs DC Universe crossover, plus latest fighting games have kind of lost their luster.
If I would want to buy a fighting game, then it have to be going back to the original Soul Blade (Not craptastic Soul Calibur. That’s right, the late 90s Soul Blade that started it all and it was amazing.) The game that impelemented the right idea what it meant to fight with weapons and in hand to hand combat. It is the only game that I knew where you could disarm your opponent and then mercilessly butcher him/her weaponless or ditch the weapon and embarass your opponent by bitting him/her to pulp with bare hands, while disarming them in the course of battle.
I just wish they could of remade some of those old originals with game enginges we have today. Just imagine playing Soul Blade with Soul Calibur controls. Imagine playing as weaponless Taki doing back and front flips around an opponent, suddenly appearing from behind snapping his neck. Or destroying balance beams of a building you are fighting in with your giant two handed axe or sledge hammer, eventually to the point where both you and your opponent have to bail it. Or perhaps have one of your firebreathing bosses or the ones armed with explosives or fire attacks set aformentioned building ablaze as you are fighting in it.
Something is just amiss in today’s fighting games and since Soul Blade I have yet to see anything good coming out for this genre.
Or be mitsurugi and beat the musket-man barehanded lol!
I think SC3 was as good as it ever got. It had so much content.
SCV was such a letdown… Only play it with friends now.
I Think Soul blade was a great fighting game the best with weapons so far and SC1 and 2 were good in my eyes. beyond that the game balanced got lack luster with the characters stats of range or speed. these factors of weapons has too much going for them while others struggled. There are many ways to compensate for characters that dont have these types of weapons by giving them certain unique moves (counters, hit grabs, ect.) But the question Remains though EvilRussian how many fighting games have you played? not accusing you but just wondering because there might be some fighters that you have missed in your days. The key to getting better at Fighting games is commitment, much like any other competitive game. But learning new Fighting games allows players to learn new strategies because of that games engine which you can implement in whatever game you play to a degree,
