well hey i like star trek i was going to buy this game than i saw universe at war. I love strategy games but it was laggy. So ya did i make a good decision?
Not a chance in the blue bowels of Hades will I buy this game. I hated the movie, I hated the ‘revamping of old favorites’, I hated Leonard flippin’ Nimoy in the movie. The movie to me sucked the last dignity out of my views toward the whole franchise. I tried out the MMO, hated it with the fires of ten dying stars.
No. Defiantly not on my ‘to buy list’.
I voted yes to buy but I’m gonna wait for the angry review of this one because movie based titles generally don’t end up to good though this is actually looks promising since the last trek game where I got to pew pew with phasers was in Star Trek elite force and that was fun. So I can’t wait for the review of this.
Cant wait! I am a HUGE Trekie.
Recently, I saw a comment that described the game as, “Gears of Star Trek.” To that I say, what’s wrong with that style?
We have seen plenty of Trek games that have been met with mixed results. The difference between this game and those games is that a lot of effort appears to have been put into this game. I mean, forget about them working with the actual cast or directors and writers, we’ve seen that happen in the recent Trek game, “Star Trek Legacy”, where they had ALL the Trek captains in the game. This game however has a lot of potential, a good co-op story and game that works WELL.
The only other Trek game I’ve played is Star Trek Elite Force 2. And that game was solid. It had a lot going for it, but came up short because it was an old style of shooter.
This game on the other hand is new, and has the advantage of a dedicated team that has a new lore to deal with.
I’m personally excited for this game, and can’t wait to see what comes next.
