I loved it and it awsome not as a great film but as a light hearted comedy crossover film. There are some parts that were acted good and others bad, some good referencing and others bad. Personally it doesn’t matter if it was a bad film or a good film the point it was enjoyable and memorable.
Why is there not enough of Joe in this movie? And what’s more, WHY is Obscurus Lupa in this feature as well? She is one of the biggest scumbags aside from Holly Christie that I have ever heard of in this movie. I have lost complete faith in Channel Awesome/TGWTG team for the Spoony debacle. Obscurus Lupa just proves that she can’t keep her nose out of everyone’s business, and Holly Christie is a very POOR judge of character, and an even more biased administrator; she allowed her personal experience as a rape victim to poorly influence her judgement. It’s time for Joe Vargas, Benzae, and various other talent in Channel Awesome to break away from the ThatGuyWithTheGlasses.com team for their sheer unadulterated bias, poor decision making, and ineptitude, aside from the goddamn Bozo Explosion that has littered TGWTG. Seriously!? Diamanda Hagan? You call that talent?
dude calm dawn Joe has never played a huge part in these movies and if you do not like the other talents of tgwtg than why the fuck are you watching this? i am not trying to fight but dude just calm down there where scenes in the trailer that have not been shown yet and the whole point of this is to shine the light on new comers and make them gain a bigger fan base so just enjoy it for what it is or just shut up dude… it is not like Joe is not in this, Joe makes me laugh so god damn hard in this and he will keep making videos no matter what also joe has been more partial to blistered thumbs anyway
From what i watched so far, it’s just not as good as Kickassia but way better than Suburban Knights. Love the overall atmosphere and title music. The part where Dr. Insano explaining about the “plot hole” in the second part is pretty much priceless. I’m surprise Noah has so many parts in this year’s anniversary( Spoony, Terl, Insano) and his performance is actually better than previous anniversary specials. Almost on par with Brad and Doug. He will be greatly missed. Oh, and Rob as The Executor does an awesome impression of Ian McDiarmid’s Emperor from Sith/Jedi.
Good:
- smooth pacing overall on both episodes 1 and 2.
- decent effects for and almost zero budget production.
- Noah playing multiple roles.
- some jokes are very well timed and laugh out loud funny.
- the U.S.S Exit Strategy epic takes off.
- Psychotic 8-bit Mickey
Bad:
- Too little Joe in episode 1 and 2 so far.
- facepalm movie parody jokes and references( especially the Ghostbusters one)
- some scenes displays awful and uneven video quality.
- not as standalone as previous specials is( watching NC’s Battlefield Earth review and Merry Zodmas is essential to get some of the jokes)
As much negatives there is, it’s still an awesome special and I’m definitely looking forward to the rest of the episodes.
idk wtf u r talkin about… this is so god damn funny i have not laughed this hard in years my only complaints is no phelous who and it does need more joe but i love all the star trek tie ins a couple weak ones with the ghost buster one but they are not professional video editors they are pretty damn good considering all the bad sfxs i have seen (re: afterlife and feast 2 3, and countless more)
Best start to an anniversary movie yet! Loved it. Why hasn’t it been uploaded onto the main site yet? Weird. Anyway – I know where to go to get it first!
I can’t wait to see part 2… THE WHOLE MOVIE! Well, at the beginning it was kinda boring, but then i was more and more into it, i loved absolutely everything and don’t have anything bad to say. Oh, except one thing. I like, how they made Joe finally more serious character (and i can’t wait for Joe to get nuts), but still, needs more Joe. Joe, Spoony (this is last Spoony’s work for TGWTG, and he’s absolutely fabulous here) and Linkara were my favorites both in Kickassia and Suburban Knights, and lack of Joe and Linkara kinda disturbs me, but hey, it’s only first part, i hope they’ll make much bigger roles in this story. So, basically, it was awesome.
Well, let’s hope to God they understand to release them a little more often than 1/week. There’s barely any good content updates on TGWTG.com’s site, or any of these sites for that matter, so why are they forcing us to wait a week to actually watch something?
Unless they intend to release these episodes once every three days or something. That could still be tolerable.

Actually, it was announced on Rob Walker’s facebook that they will release one part every three days due to some technical difficulties.

they should make a behind the scenes video.
it’ll probably be a dvd extra
It was AWESOME!
but come on! no Mass Effect Jokes? really?
what a waste of good humor.

yeah BUT THE NOSTALGIA CRITIC WONT
, WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!?
why does this not have more Joe? he steals every scene he is in.
Doug & Spoony are great. and Linkara seems like he’ll become an important villain. Benzai’s cameo was funny in Episode 4.
But Joe (and Brad too) totally get shafted for crappy “talent” like J.O. and that awful non-actor SadPanda. Hope the newer episodes improve upon this.
Joe: yeah they were definitely doing it!
LOL!

one word. Awesome

It’s epic! If all the parts are this long I need the DVD, if not I’m getting it anyway. Can’t wait for the next one!
Awesome 1st episode.
I’m hooked. Can’t wait for further episodes.
I can’t wait to see part 2… THE WHOLE MOVIE! Well, at the beginning it was kinda boring, but then i was more and more into it, i loved absolutely everything and don’t have anything bad to say. We need a bigger part for Joe….More joe in the next episode
And of course corporate commander!!!
this is fucking epic! can’t wait for part 2
The parts gonna be weekly?
Daily, if they intend to follow their usual anniversary crossover timetables.
As for the video… it was a rather good opening episode. Here’s hoping this anniversary doesn’t deflate near the end, like the others.
Whoops, color me corrected. Looks like it’s going to be a weekly series this time around. The better question now is, how many parts will there be?
I think it was mentioned that there will be 8 parts.

Thanks for the info boys.
Yeah, some of the guys have gotten pretty god damn lazy with updates, and almost every site uses the movie as an excuse for no other updates..
