Fable Kinect is for the Hardcore Gamer.

Lionhead and Microsoft want us to believe that Fable: The Journey is for the hardcore gamer who plays a lot of Halo, Mass Effect, Gears of War, and Skyrim. Here is their pitch. Convinced?

I’ve got to file this under trying too hard. I guess we will find out on October 9th, 2012 when the game releases.

Can’t Fable just get… better already?
I don’t understand how it can be that bad and stay that bad after so many flunks!

Convinced? No. Facepalm and major laughs at the guy on 1:19? Oh, most certainly! The game has received mixed reviews at best. Looking at 2012, though, it wasn’t a very good year for Microsoft. Yeah, they sold the most consoles this holiday season, but their games just failed on so many levels.

Halo 4 was all good and fun and Forza Horizon was cool, but their other Kinect games were just crap this year. Dragonball Z, Steel Battalion, Kinect Star Wars, and NBA Baller Beats were all jokes and terribly done. The Kinect just sucks and is nothing but a full blown beta test by Microsoft trying to one up Nintendo’s motion controls with full body controls. Microsoft needs to brush up on their exclusives and just flat out give up on Kinect or really polish that idea for future projects.

I don’t like fable, and I don’t like the term “core” gamer…. What exactly defines a hardcore or “core” gamer? I have played video games since….. I was physically able to. As a child thursdays were called “sega days” because my mother didn’t want me to play that much… Anyway my point is this commercial was stupid, and the game looks decent at best. And this is coming from someone who honestly does want a Kinect, for The Gunstringer, but I can’t justify buying it for one game lol

Hmm i smell actors, game looks .. horible i defenetly dont want it on kinect i don’t belive a **** and fable games aren’t so good but ill wait untill angry joe gives it a shot

Oh boy… here we go again, another kinect game, been away a long time from “the gaming news”, and what do i find when i come back… sigh…

why is what i would want to ask but if i do that, i suppose i’d get an answer so i’m not gonna ask,

just gonna go grab myself a pillow go to the bathroom and scream in it for an hour or so and hopefully feel a bit better after that. lol

Not really for the hardcore gamer IMHO, but I had no troubles playing it. Alright, one problem. During calibration., And that’s what calibration’s for: smoothing out those errors. Overall it worked, but felt more like a test for a mechanic they plan on using in the future, and a whole lot less of a full game.

But that’s just me.
