Injustice Collectors Edition Revealed!
In the name of giant raccoon scrotum, what is happening with the Injustice: Gods Among Us Collector’s Edition? Among the exclusive skin DLC pack and a comic book is some kind of sick joke I can’t justify paying for, so I’m going to make proper use of the internet and rage.
The US Version
$99.99 will get you a confusing 13″ playdough quality sculpture of a gender ambiguous Wonder Woman and mishapen Batman half engaged in awkwardly posed combat; her golden lasso is shooting out her crack, entangling a smaller version of the Dark Knight. I am simultaneously grief stricken and lost in a whirlwind of laughing acronyms.
“Playdough? Nah. It actually looks like a WELL-MADE piece of crap,” Angry Joe chimed in. “This is worse, in my opinion. Also, No Superman?!”
The UK Version
If this was some sort of wang measuring contest, Europe would be chuckling at our micro peenor right now. Based on the artwork shown on TRMK, the US is getting boned over. It’s a great item idea for a Special Edition, but can I get a do-over?
The Collector’s Edition will include:
· Exclusive DC Collectibles statue featuring iconic characters Batman and Wonder Woman, the Fortress of Solitude, and the Last Son of Krypton’s escape ship
· Special Collector’s Edition of a brand new DC Comics series
· Digital download of DC Universe animated film Justice League: Doom
· Three exclusive skins based on Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman from DC COMICS – THE NEW 52

I remember reading this a while ago, but my interest in the game just really picked up lately, and I didn’t comment on it the first time.
The US statue is hideous! Seriously, wtf! Luckily, I live in Australia
This article is a bit old but I had to comment because of that shitty figure After seeing it this set should be called “Injustice: Up Your Ass Edition”. I dunno who thought it was a good idea of making a figure of Wonder Shemale (that woMAN definitely isn’t Wonder Woman) trying to take Batman’s butt hole virginity with a giant probe. If I had to choose in between that figure or a figure of a petrified dog turd, I’ll would choose the dog turd in a heartbeat.
Wow, that just looks horrible. For someone highly anticipating this game I do have to agree that limited content that usually on the disk anyway is really pissing me off. We end up paying full price for a half a game (look at Borderlands 2; an entire character is deliberately locked away from the game unless you pay $10, making it a $69.99 game instead)
Wonder Woman looks horrendous, this whole thing just reeks of mediocrity. I know teenage artists that could have designed a better statue.
I may actually just wait a year and buy this when they release it for $30 with all of the DLC included. I jumped in balls deep with Mortal Kombat and got burned when a cheaper “complete” version was released a year later.

looking again, if you get it at gamestop or EB Games, you get costumes for Wonder Woman, Superman, and Grundy from Superman: Red Son and 20 exclusive missions set within Red Sun’s storyline.
It’s not just the statue you are paying for. You get the 3 exclusive comics and the new 52 dlc skin as well. Maybe not enough to justify 99 dollars, but close to that,

The hell ? A crappy statue for 99$ ? And where’s the art book? No way I’m paying for that,
1) Wonder Woman is much much stronger than Batman. In fact due to her magical abilities that allow her to fly and lift cars to throw at people, there is no contest since Batman is just an average man with high tech gadgets, elite training and tools. Batman would of never fought Wonderwoman blow for blow if that came to be, he would of used his smarts to defeat her.
2) This is totally ambigous since nowhere in DC Universe Batman or Wonderwoman came to blows. In fact they had been in intimate relationships from comic strip to other.
WTF? O.k. I’m going to the UK now.
My guess would be that UK declined to use that statue and made their own, and then every retailer in Europe followed them. Or maybe the US retailers decided to get the game cheaper to make more profit by selling it on original price. Shit like this happens. I remember the preorder edition of skyrim that was not gonna have the parchment map included but just a map on regular paper, for European buyers. Found a shady site that offered the map in the UK for an extra 4 pounds and got it from there.
I guess similar things will happen in the US, with some retailers offering the UK version for more money. My advice to you: either get it from a european internet market like amazon UK, have it sent to a friend of yours, and then have them ship it for you (it’s gonna come cheaper in shipping costs). If the copy doesn’t work in the US, then buy another copy from over there when it becomes cheap during a christmas sale or smth.

Why would Batman and Wonder-Woman be fighting? Aren’t those two doing the “hand-less tango?” I get that it’s a game about fighting heroes but why not Solomon Grundy and Supes or Superman and Wonder-Woman?

What if you want to get it really, really bad, but the quality is helping them lose a sale or 1,000. I think they’d appreciate the note.
Unless A huge petition starts I doubt they would care, they will only look at the figure’s and say ”well most people bought collectors edition in the EU but not so much the US” and maybe they will think ”we did something wrong?!!”.
But most likely they will dumb and think US does not like any form of collectors edition and not make as many in the future, which is how business is done these days which is why it doesn’t make any sense.
However I don’t believe this post on this website means anything to the developers or distributors even on their own forums etc.

Well I’m from the UK and I can tell you that even though US gets things 3 days early, its no justification for that Transvestite of a statue, if it were me I’d be pissed as well, My advice would be if you really really want the Europe edition buy it, and if you cant play PAL just buy the US normal Edition as well.
and if you cant afford it, well don’t buy it cause collectors editions aren’t worth the money anyways!
Good Lord that statue looks terrible. I can’t figure out why companies do stuff like this. I know in some cases the games are more popular in certain parts of the world, JRPGs for example get better CE’s in Japan over western regions, but not for DC comics. Those guys are huge all over the world so it makes no sense. Especially when one looks like crap.
Besides the incredibly mannish looking Wonder Woman, Batman looks terrible. What’s up with his facial expression? It looks like they were going for a panicked expression but he looks more like he’s about to drop a deuce in his Batsuit. Maybe I would look like that if I were fighting a pissed off looking Wonder (Wo?)man but this is Batman we’re talking about. If he can stand up to dudes like Darkseid than I’m pretty sure he could keep his cool around Wonder Woman.

Welcome to our world joe! for AC3 europe gets an average Join or die edition while you guys get the really awesome looking Freedom edition. oh and not only that but you get your game 3 days earlier than us…. and thats on all games! i’m fed up of this entitlement bullshit that SOME Americans think they’re entitled to

Most game devs are stationed in America, or the surrounding area (Canada)…
Therefore, it would make sense that some games come out here first, because they take less time to ship overseas…

I’m in Australia, so we usually get the European variants of CE’s. And no offence intended, but for all the US people complaining that the PAL version is better than the US version, while I feel your pain, please taking into account that usually we are the ones getting the shaft when it comes to getting collectors editions, either getting lesser versions or sometimes no CE at all. Complaining about is and saying that the US should get the same is all well and good, but 99% of these complaints are coming from people who couldn’t care less what the rest of us get…. as long as it’s not better than what they get.
I didn’t know US Batman was into that sort of thing.
I won’t be acting like some sadistic douche and act all happy over the fact Europe’s looks better. The US deserves a good sculpture like everybody else.
But it is ironic considering market decisions in Europe usually suck elephant phallus. Remember all those Jrpgs given shitty new cover art because they were unsure Japanese art would sell a game at all, or the number of games screwed over because the German government consists of pussies? It’s funny in a way yes, but sad at the same time.
So, why are they different in the first place..? Maybe UK distributors declined the US model. “Aw hell no. We are NOT selling that fugly thing here.”
In terms of overall content, UK kicks US’ ass. The statue is just kicking the US Edition in the balls. Repeatedly.
I definitely agree, but one thing I must mention, it looks like the UK version is just the design, so you don’t know what the actual statue will look like.
Well luckily a lot of games these days aren’t region locked, especially PS3 games and quite a few 360 games. So you could always look into getting a European special edition

Well for only an extra 30 bucks it’s not a terrible deal. It’s just that the statue looks horrible.

why couldn’t the statue look like the picture on the bottom? that would be cool to have. unless that bottom statue is one you can have, then i’d say the top one will be collecting dust in some warehouse…or some wired guy’s basement
