but Joe most of the review sounded quite negative…..you should have given it a 6….
Connor is a very irritating character indeed, more so than Ezio, the ending was also quite bad, the big area may have been great and very innovative but overall the storyline was utterly boring, another problem is I see very little choices for your character. Overall I’d rate this game a 6.
Ok I agree with joe now but I do like Connor for some sort of reason but I do not think it will compare to black ops 2 and maybe even halo 4 but this is my first assains creed so maybe that’s why I like it so much
Honestly, there is some stuff here I agree with, but i don’t understand what you are saying about climbing. I find getting to the rooftops easy and the tree climbing mechanic is a bit buggy but it flows quite well. The loading screens aren’t as bad as you are leading on.
I agree that Connor was a step in the wrong direction for a character and that the main story wasn’t interesting 50% of the time due to poor choices with walking and battles but i think that the combat both on land and at sea was the best so far in the series. 8/10 for sure.
Ouch.
Joe, I think you treated this game far too harshly. And that is coming from someone who was highly concerned about the American Revolution setting because I (wrongly) felt that it lacked the cultural richness we had seen in earlier AC games.
I was wrong, five minutes into the game and I am utterly immersed. The raw beauty of the frontier and the foggy scenery of Boston at night just…wow.
As for Connor not being likeable, that is of course a matter of personal preference. I love him, his motivations are clear and straightforward. True he does not joke as much as Ezio but just because he is more serious does not render him unlikeable to me. He just focusses on protecting his people which seems understandable regarding his past.
I think you treated the game too harshly, even more so after the barrage of “Badass Seal Of Approval” games that were in your last 3 or so reviews. This game is not perfect by any means but I can see they worked on it for three years,
For once Joe, I disagree with almost all of your critique, not because I am a fanboy, hell I considered not buying ACIII at all after seeing the catastrophy that was revelations, but ACIII has delivered what was promised and more.
It is worthy of an 8/10 at least.
Come on Joe….up the score…
ACII is probably the best in the series. While not perfect, I thought the story was engaging, the characters were likable, and the gameplay was rather solid. I enjoyed almost everything ACII had to offer (glitches and other bugs aside)
While the other stories of Ezio weren’t as entertaining, they were still rather fun and still had a satisfying story. While the gameplay wasn’t fresh or innovative, but hey, at least it wasn’t like the first game, which I didn’t like at all!
And then we have this game, which to me, has so many things to like about it, yet it fails to deliver a satisfying conclusion to Desmond’s story. Desmond’s character is rather bland, but it was his personality, the people around him and his ancestors that made him at least enjoyable. Then they kill him off. What happens after? We don’t know. Nothing is explained.
I will say that Connor speaks English is how most Native Americans speak it, and while his intentions are pure, he’s not really that likable. He can at least socialize. Make some buddies, be nice to people, and how about you smile and try to rely on people. Connor is boring as hell, and his overall personality is really dull. I don’t recall seeing him smiling more than like, 5 times throughout the game.
While the gameplay is nice and more fleshed out, it’s rather poorly implemented. In ACII, I was going around buying new weapons and armor to aid me. In ACIII, I didn’t buy shit, the most I bought was more ammo for my gun. I didn’t bother with hunting; it’s not fun to me, and it serves no purpose. There’s rarely anything useful to buy anyway, where as in ACII, there were plenty of things.
ACIII promised big things, but failed to deliver satisfaction. While I think it has a great story for Connor, it just fails to deliver a satisfying and epic conclusion to Desmond’s story and to the series in general.
The side missions are boring, the ending missions are boring, and the story, while engaging, has a boring, unlikable character. I just don’t think this is the best game in the franchise. It’s good in its own regard, but I’ll just stick with ACII
Honestly i want this game for the online play lol
Dear Angry joe, Can you review Assassins Creed 2 and compare the story withAc3 to shut those Templar commenters? And Review the Skyrim Dlc and explain y its unfair that ps3 mega fans dont have it
Can you please do a review of The Walking Dead Video Game. I know you may think it’s just a cheap remake of the TV series and comics, but it actually is a whole new story which the events that happen in the story are determined by the choices you make. The final episode just came out on Tuesday and I highly recommend it.
I not had any specific expectations to AC3, so despite what I saw in review I’ll buy game …. but not “must have now”.
Well, Brotherhood and Revelations were despicable… at least, is the last time I got to see Nolan Nor- I mean, Nico Bell- I mean, Desmond´s face.
this is a legit review but you mentioned the things that I never had a problem with like the white loading screen, you forgot to mention the bugs. This game I reckon should be an 8.7 at least, the good parts are more superior than the bads. I enjoyed this and had a sense of freeroaming that i never truly had in other ac games
so when is the blops 2 review coming out i want to see you tear that thing a new one
Okay, Joe, while I like your reviews, I think you went a little too harsh on this game. Connor, for one, is a likeable character once you get to develop him further. I know you hate Desmond, but he’s not a terrible character, as there are FAR worse video game characters than he could ever be. The free-running in this game is about the smoothest the AC series has ever had. The same can be said about the combat, which is ten times more aggressive than the previous titles if you actually time your attacks right. The set piece battles, though were flashy in the trailers, wouldn’t make much sense in real life, as you would get shot to pieces, like what happened to you at Bunker Hill (lulz at that part). Ubisoft strove for realism in this game, and they delivered. Yeah, some of the side missions are boring, but then again, so were some of the side missions in the previous AC games. The white screen didn’t bother me because it wasn’t as blinding as you claim (unless played in the dark). I never had a problem with rooftop gameplay and I utilize it constantly. The ending, yes, is a bit disappointing, but it’s not as terrible as everyone claims it is. Not a perfect game, but far more deserving of a 9/10 than a 7/10, Joe.
I think he gave it more than it deserves and now I’m saying for the entire series.Let’s be honest ac is a disappointment when it comes to ending ,bossfights(look at how the second one ended-that’s embarrassing).the combat is extremely dull and easy-a five year old could do it.the missions where you have to do without killing anyone are just an excuse for the designers to come up with a real assassination gameplay. And now in ac3 there are a lot of bugs don’t know why anyone did not mention them cause when skyrim was out everyone was screaming bugs(and let’s be honest skyrim has more content than all ac series)and now we get silence.the game is repetitive.I think Joe would have given the 2nd ac a 6 or less if he would be truly honest(personal opinion) and gave ac3 a 7 because of the animals(no that’s just me).
He also said that combat was too easy, but if you’re not careful and remove that notoriety, you die.
Joe, i mostly agree with you, but here, i couldn’t disagree with you more. First of, i thougt you had a lot of spoilers in the review, like the first part that surprised me the most and i really liked it. The peg leg mission aren’t just collecting trinkets, if you give them to pegleg he gives you an awesome mission. I, for one, liked Connor, he was serious, strong and he changed during the story.
So why no Dead or Alive 5 review? You usually do all new fighting games.
OMG with the ME ending… Please let it go guys, you alredy made the doctors quit with all your babbling
I just like mention things AJ hasn’t mentioned. So I’m nearly finished watching a whole play through or let’s play of AC3. from what I have seen and comparing it to AC2, AC3 is a disappointment but still a good game in itself I think. the problem is despite having new features like hunting and naval battles there more features removed from AC2. like variety of weapons from swords, maces, pistols, bombs etc. developed characters and story line, options for color pigments of your costume, even the a group to hide in like the prostitutes to cover you and avoid suspicion from guards while moving.
the character could have been interesting if they did the plot well but instead they hadn’t much motivation or desires. Conner wants to save his village but doesn’t seem to show much grief, pain or suffering except frustration. Even the villain doesn’t show purpose for most action. Achilles doesn’t agree with yet still helps him anyway which is confusing.
Although this was one of his worst reviews, it was enjoyable as ever.
He mentions and reviews about half of the game.
My dear friend from above, having seen the game doesn’t say anything. You have to play a game to understand it.
As for the things you mention, it DOES have less weapons… but it lets you take a bayonet from the floor and use it either to fire or to counter and watch the great moves that Connor has in combat. Really, the variety of his moves depending on the type of weapon is unimaginable. I played for 40 hours and even at the end, i watched moves that i hadn’t before. (Ok, that happened once, but still…)
And beside that, you can use your traps for the animals or let’s say your other “gadgets” (batman style) mid combat. That adds a lot of variety in the somewhat dull combat from the previous games. For example, Joe says that all the trained enemies just stand and watch you. That’s a big change from previous games. You cannot go unharmed. You have to be more careful. There’s almost always a guy attacking you while you are attacking another guy, or they are shooting you (meat shield mechanic great).
Another thing, is that you can buy coloured clothes. The variety is not as big, but stil… it’s there.
To end this, hear me out on this…
MOST people are angry about this game, because they THINK that they have left many stuff from the previous games out. That’s NOT the case. Most of these features you have to discover them anew… For example, the brotherhood system with the less and more personal relationships with them works better. Each assassins you unlock (via Liberation – great unlock strategy from Ubisoft) unlocks a unique ability. One of them is like the courtesan hiding, you are refering to. Don’t tell me that people are angry because you cannot pay for prostitutes anymore… Either way, you didn’t pay them for the proper reasons in the past…
The game has unbelievable depth. For example, Joe mentions the trinkets and that he didn’t like that they were not buried… but he doesn’t even mention the whole point of the trinkets and the pirate treasure, where you go to pacific islands as side missions. It’s great. It feels as Uncharted should have felt… (i didn’t say that…)
Also, most of the reviews say that the game has a sloppy start. It took me by surprise and I loved it. I wish it was a slower start. It adds much to the variety, to the pacing and to the story of the game.
One thing ruined the game of 2012 for me. Just one.
Connor’s character. Ok, he is humorless. I can go with that.
No, they had to make him unlikable. So that when he yells at someone, you say “shut the f up, you stupid overpowered caveman”
…though Demond is cool. And the missions in the present are also cool. Great ideas, though the final was a little underwhelming.
That’s my 2 cents…
dude , shut the fuck up.
Whatever everything he said in this review was correct.
Hey Joe… Black OPS 2 would get an 10/10 .Please review it:). Assassin’s Creed 3 was all fine and shit but that ending … OMFG i didn’t believe my eyes. Hell, even worse than Mass Effect.
A 10/10? look I bet black ops 2 is good but ITS THAT GOOD? wow ok so its worth every penny and enjoyable graphics new gameplay new weapons new everything great story look its your thing I dont really care but 10/10 I think more like 8/10 or 7/10 bet it has a better ending though
Not so sure about the ending comment before the extended cut that ending for ME3 was so damn stupid that it totally went against everything that we were told in the previous series. Mainly the gate explosions.
You want an RPG based on ship battles? Find a way to play Skies of Arcadia, preferably the Gamecube version, though both Dreamcast and Gamecube versions were very good. Honestly, it’s an entire RPG based on FREAKING AIRSHIP PIRATES!!!!
AIRSHIP PIRATES!!!!
I agree with you that side missions are shit, and you want to finish game as fuck quick as you can, But in my opinion its still better than other sequances. By the way I really hated ship battles. But I loved mission very much than Conar had beat his friend as fast as he can, that they won’t got shoot by army. I felt like in dark knight, than batman defended hostiles dressed up like clowns by beating up cops.
So not only does the game have the bullshit, tired idea of ‘great historical event in the war only happened because of UBERAWESOME character’, they can’t get the uniforms right*, you can’t do what trailers suggest you can do**, they decided to go with myths about the war rather than truth (Revere actually didn’t do nearly as much as several other men and one girl), boring protagonists and a poor ending.
*Here’s a hint, the Battle of Lexington wouldn’t have had that much blue. Mostly because there wasn’t a real organized army to actually have blue uniforms at that point.
**Because everyone knows how great being forced onto scripted events is.
Very interesting review.
i love naval battles cant wait for world of battleships to come out.
have to agree and was kind of sad about how bland the character was
I liked the review but you seem to just make It so the game sounds more awful than It actually Is. The game maybe can’t live up to the previous installments but It’s still a good game you said yourself you liked the naval mission, multiplayer etc but you still criticize It In a way that made some people turn away from the game. So which should I chose buy or not buy? Because I can’t really decide. Overall you made good points but you should have covered more of the game It felt like a first impressions more than a review to be honest.
well Reviewers have to go deeper and put up every little thing. its what they do.
and if you think that was alot of negatives check Zero punctuation he is a “Critic” no a reviewer
this video was very funny and entertaining,im glad you didnt ost your charm yet.btw i would really like to see amigo toyota again, hes very funny and likeable
Newsflash ! Trailers LIE !
Hey mate! You HAVE to review Dishonored!!!
Hmmm… I just ordered that game for christmas, im wondering if perhaps i have EPICLY WASTED my money… or not.. hmmm
i had more fun in fallout 3 (which i think is awful) than i have had in the 12 hours it costed me to finish ac3.
ubisoft was one of the few game studious, who i thought respected their fans and were actually able to make a decent, fun game.
but they failed horribly with ac3 and they knew they failed before the game came out, but instead of saying ‘we’re sorry, but we need some more time’ the lied to us and they try to patch it know, 3 weeks after the game was released.
i have lost all my respect for ubisoft, and i will never buy an ac game ever again!
p.s a golden tip ubisoft, MAKE A F•CKING CROUCH BUTTON!
I agree with pretty much everything Joe said in the review. But from the other comments I see that your having the same problem as I am, that everyone seems to like the game, and to be honest can’t blame them was a pretty good game.
Although I found the story very lacking, Connor seems very unlikable, his dad should of been the main charater for the game. Even his plot twist wasnt a shock, but the fact he used to be an assassin would of made the game a better base. Desmonds payoff however is very disapointing, unlike AC2, brotherhood and to an estent ACR the ending made you want to play the other game, or be excited for its realease. At the end of this one I felt nothing… just meh, fin, may as well of just shown a picture of the world and put LOL, for as much of it explained.
apart from the story loved the game, defo a 7/10 buy for the play through but if the sotry is the only thing you buy it for better give it a miss.
keep up the good work joe!
tl;dr – I love this game, and it’s the reason why the AC series will forever be my favorite.
– …Tree-running? Not fun? It’s one of the best free-running sets in the game. You get to explore the Frontier as a hunter, running through the canopy of the forest. It feels amazing every time I jump across trees like a predator. Plus, there was always a problem with soldiers up on rooftops in past games, but they always gave you some reprieve to get down off the rooftops. Plus, I never had a problem with soldiers ordering me to come down. They see me, tell me to get down, I keep running, they don’t catch me.
– You play as Haytham to feel connected to him, and see what kind of guy he is, which I thought he was pretty cool, like James Bond before James Bond. His character gets better when you keep going, and he almost sounds convincing, making you believe that you’re in the wrong, and that you should focus on a different picture. He makes you think it’s not all about freedom and liberty, sometimes. Plus, I’m a long time fan of the series, and I didn’t see the plot twist coming…AT ALL. It was very surprising.
– I’d put Connor beside Ezio when it comes to character, because Connor is very heroic, very honorable, and has a built in sense of right and wrong. He’s very noble, trustworthy, and a strong pillar for anyone to lean on. Just because he doesn’t say much doesn’t mean his words mean much. Connor isn’t fighting in the Revolution for the Patriots; he’s fighting for the safety of his tribe. When you see his friend turning against him, it’s another sad moment of his life; not only did he lose his friend, he lost the trust of his tribe. He’s almost an outcast, and for any tribesman, it’s the worst thing that could ever happen to someone. If Connor did change to have a bit more “humor,” (which I don’t know what you mean by that. I’d see him as a carbon copy of Ezio, therefore making him a ripoff of a character I know. And I actually like how Desmond is getting better as a character. If you perform any optional dialogue with the characters, you can see regret, grief, worry, suffering. He wants his family back after being alone for so many years. He sees his dad, and what happens? His dad doesn’t even bother to acknowledge him as his son in the beginning; only a means to stop the end. He gets sad over how he CHOSE to kill Lucy, which I thought Juno made him do it. The characters in the Homestead are great, too. The lumberjacks that argue, the artisan with brilliant ideas (at least at the time), and the tailor with a horrible husband. It showed how a community can protect their own, no matter who or what endangers them. They weren’t just a community, and they could be perceived as a “nation,” but I saw it as a family, and I thought it was pretty heartwarming. Achilles was an interesting character, too; do you know any African-American people who owned their own acres? His sub-plot is very minimalistic, too, but once you go through it, you can tell who Achilles was just by a few small words and a couple of good pictures.
– You suck at lockpicking lol Plus the side quests are a bit lacking. The Peg Leg missions were pretty cool, though, and you can even buy a map to find them all. Plus, if you think about it, how is that salty dog supposed to know you have a map? Just because it’s a historical simulator doesn’t mean EVERYONE in the game knows you have other functions to guide you.
– Well, let’s be real: does anyone honestly think you can survive a firing battalion just by running up on them? The AC series has been known for its realism; going solo against a firing battalion doesn’t work. Oh, and you can have Paul Revere shout in your ear by pushing a button…
– There are some enemies you can’t counter kill easily; you have to break their defense first. And there are some weapons that are better than others. War Clubs are difficult to handle, and there are certain swords that have better combo potential and better damage. Same with shorthand weapons.
– I wish there were more Naval battles to do on this game. They were SO great!
– ACIII was the end of Desmond. So, I figured, “Okay, he’s gonna die.” Lo and behold, he dies. Though I will agree that they should’ve let you choose your ending. It would’ve been AC’s version of Ocarina of Time, where we have different branching series. And I honestly thought the First Civ’s failsafe was a portal to another world. It would explain how they got to Earth, and how they “disappeared.” But…shield. …Okay. Desmond didn’t pain me so much, but Connor…I felt so bad for him. He fought in the Revolution for his tribe, fought against the Templars so that the Colonies would be safe, and fought for freedom, and he nearly sacrificed his life. What does he get? His whole tribe evicted from their homeland, and a new era of oppression; slavery. I know it’s supposed to happen in history, but if you look at it in Connor’s eyes, you can understand why he’s so sad.
Overall, I consider ACIII to be just as good as ACII. It was a lot of fun and it was a blast to go through. If I gave it a score, it’d be a 9.0 out of 10. If anyone disagrees with this, I don’t hate you for it. We all have our own opinions. I don’t hate you for this, Joe, but I just wanted to make my opinion.
Nice spoiler alert….
…Eh.
Interesting.
If you read through the data base there is a hint that may lead to the fourth game. It explains that ezio had a relationship with an asian woman whom he trained to be an assassin and how he started an assassins guild in asia. this may be a make or break sort of thing. If they turn this into a ninja type set up it may be good or it may be horrible. From what I heard that was a forshadow for the fourth game
All of that was actually in Assassin’s Creed: Embers, and no, he didn’t have a relationship with her, she was already an Assassin, and he just gave her some advice and stayed in Italy. Now I would still love to see this setting though, and after I saw Embers I thought they were indeed setting things up for AC3.
Anyways, pretty good review, though I can’t say I agree with everything it does more or less ring true, but there are a couple of things that I want to mention. For one, the trinkets you give to Pegleg are not Captain Kidd’s treasure. And about the rooftop running, I’ve been playing through AC2 again and I honestly think the guards are a whole lot worse in there. Their status bars fill up much faster and they automatically latch onto you if you run. In AC3, you can pretty easily run right past them and they ignore you as soon as you’re far enough away, so I don’t really see this as an issue.
Now the ending, I honestly didn’t mind it. It conclusively ended Desmond’s story arc while setting the stage for future games. It could have been a little more grand for all the build-up it got, but I don’t think it was vague or ended abruptly or anything.
I don’t know if I agree with your opinion on the new freerunning difficulty. It’s perfectly realistic, and not all THAT hard. Personally, I think it gives the right feel for how the pressure to act “normally” and keeping an eye on everyone else is starting to turn against the assassin as a concept, limiting his operations and strengthening the Templar administration, pretty much funneling the balance of power into what it seems to have become in modern time.
dear joe
the next time you talk to a ubisoft person pleas tell them don’t rushe the next ac game and make the wepons more unike becouse i can’t tell the diffrence between the best sowrd or worst and more sense to the side mission once there was this rumer in the game that ther is a german genral that lost his head and uses a pumkin insted and kuts of heads of other peopel untile he finds his head so i went and serched for him and i found him but only for a second then he ran off -.- and iff the next one is going to play in ww2 don’t make it a 3person make it hard sure he can have a gun but i would like it if he has to carfully every enemy with more taktik like a real assasin should and not to run into enemies and esaly kill them but that it is harder that thy shout even if you killing one of there komrads i want it almost imposibel to defeat mor than 10
i have shiti grammer on that post sorry about that
meh… did not like this review, sadly. Oh well, till the next review
Joe I’m sorry I’m on a I pod so I didn’t get to see your video so I will not disagree or anything sorry
Joe man you know I have always been with you and backed you up with your review but I’m about half way through and I kindy love it and a 7 is to low for me right now but yet I Didn’t beat it so we will see
you know what? i’m just gonna say this outright. Joe, you did a Terrible review. what’d you say your rule of thumb is for reviewing your games? 5/10 doesn’t mean terrible, just average? not the usual 7/10 other reviewers make “Average” mean? Well i’m sad to say that in most of the review you’re whining too much. So much so that i’m not sure if i CAN take your score seriously this time. you’ve spoiled your score system to make this game sound like its average. Way too many nagging things. Obviously its NOT gonna be a period piece game only, it’s gonna have som Sci-fi in it. but that sci fi helped fill in the gaps of the settings and characters, so that we don’t spend much of the game getting backstory after backstory AFTER FUCKING BACKSTORY just to pad it out!
oh and I wanna call bullshit on the complaint that this game was rushed out for the holidays. It was not. it was on a short timing due to wanting the release to happen BEFORE our “doomsday” date happened. I mean it’d make a game release seem redundant if the weight of the date doesn’t mean a fuck a year after.
so sorry Joe, I’ll give this game at least an 8/10. and NO. MORE. WHINING. you’re Angry Joe…unless you legally changed your name title to Whiney Joe Show behind the scenes, i don’t wanna see whiney talk. Man up.
probably lost an account for this, but i had to say it.
ok i was a little too into it. not a TERRIBLE review, just a slightly slip up effort. :/ (oh and ffs man…get someone to set the wig up. it was annoying in the Darkness Review and its annoying now)
Darkneon u are retarded, 1st off it was an awesome review, secondly, UR WHINNING ABOUT SOMEONE WHINNING????????? go grow a pair
I agree with everything he said, except I had even more problems with the game. I ended up giving the game the same score as Joe, mostly getting it out of 5 territory just for the multiplayer and naval battles.
I think this is one of his best reviews.
“oh and I wanna call bullshit on the complaint that this game was rushed out for the holidays. It was not. it was on a short timing due to wanting the release to happen BEFORE our “doomsday” date happened. I mean it’d make a game release seem redundant if the weight of the date doesn’t mean a fuck a year after.”
That would be an even worse reason for releasing the game early
Im with you, bad review.
Sorry I agreed with everything Angry Joe said. Naval Battles were awsome and roof top stuff was just as bad I spent a lot of time on the ground this time around. Ending was just as bad as mass effect. Tired of these damn trilogy games and they just F**k you over these endings its just a major big let down. Especially when they allow you to use your saves from the previous games.
This franchise keeps on disappointing me, a great game concept, but every time i buy it i get bored after a while.., ubisoft WAKE UP!
not gonna buy it.
Not sure about all of this. I have the first Assasin’s Creed game and it seemed to be a 360 staple but I don’t know, it didn’t really do a lot to engage me. Now I’ve heard some of the later games were better in terms of playability, but is it really worth investing into another 4 games? I would suggest that there are plenty more games out there that I’d rather be playing and for that reason I’ll probably give this one a miss.
Cheers for the review; it’s nice to see the game’s not getting exclusively high reviews just because it’s come from a reasonably successful franchise…
My biggest gripe about ALL the assassins creed games is the combat. It is retarded easy. Hold block until they flash. Maybe kick a guy. I mean come on! I was so excited when they showed AC2 guys in plate armor. And then you can somehow stab a guy in the chest with a stiletto RIGHT THROUGH THE BREASTPLATE! Why the fuck did they even put heavy weapons in the game at all if the itty bitty knife is going to be the best weapon in the game? Make the weapons in the game have a purpose so we have to actually change our strategy based on armor type!
And FFS, why do 6 guys stand around in a circle jerk just waiting for me to slaughter them. Hell even Batman goons attack 2-3 at a time. The game needs to ramp up the difficulty A LOT. Make getting shot a death sentence and throw some code in so enemies actually miss. Take out freaking health potions, or at least don’t let me use them in the middle of combat.
They seriously need to evolve this game into something more in the next installment or I’m done with the series. Its hard to consider yourself a total badass assassin when you are beating up on retarded kinder gardeners.
I agree with you.
Hey Joe! Since you like pirate RPGs and seem to be a Mount and Blade fan like myself, you should keep your eyes open for Mount and Blade With Fire and Sword 2. Hopefully it’s gonna be great.
Here’s some russian gameplay video that I found about it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I_o-o9ChsL4
Btw nice review as always
so basicly they sacraficed the SINGLE PLAYER the single player really for multiplayer and naval warfare the single player has always been the main part of AC i mean really ubisoft i never cared for multi player thats what cod or bf is for not ac i play it for the story connors is even more forgetable then altier congrats corperate commader u fucked us again
Lol I actually really enjoyed the skit!
Joe, can you do a top ten for why the ending sucks?
I’m a lil surprised you didn’t mention the chase missions. They were god awful.
oh well goodie. your awful chase missions will get patched thanksgiving. and no way is he gonna do a top 10. it wasn’t a major backlash, breaks every meaning and weight behind the franchise fuck you ending like Mass Effect 3.
But Angry Joe does bring up a good point. A lot of big named games, especially franchise games, have crappy, dissatisfying endings and aren’t as good as their previous games (on some levels but not all). This probably has to do with the fact that they are highly anticipated games that we have spent lots of time (playing the games, getting all the secrets, waiting for next one) and money (the games, merchandise, etc.) on only to get a rushed, incomplete product that removes some of its core and best elements for other things that don’t work as well or are there to distract us from the things they messed up on.
When the (?)main character was putting the (?)ball-thing in the wall, did the (?) white writing just above it say ‘poof’? Lol, that explains the hate for Desmond’s ending… but, seriously, I’ll wait until it appears in the bargain bins… maybe next year.
The game is pretty good it’s just that GODDAMN BLINDING ASS LIGHT!

Jesus Christ. LEARN TO PUNCTUATE!
If you are going to argue someone’s point, first learn how to spell. Then learn how to use the English language to a competent degree because people generally don’t listen or read what other people have to say if they can’t understand them. Afterwords, learn how to articulate your complaints and try to stay on point. You went from “Angry Joe you are blinded blah blah blah” to “why didn’t they do this, this would have been cool” then “please don’t put this on your top 10″. I’m sure Angry Joe respects everyone’s opinions, but try to respect Angry Joe’s opinions before smashing on them.
much hate to desmond huh? much hate dude.
so the game sorta, kinda works out a bit. let us hope it is just a trip up.
i also agree with that on the animus. it is just confusing and jarring. they could have done it a lot better with somethign else. maybe made something mystical instead of scientific. with the animus, it is just jarring and leaves you questioning how it could be possible.
