Fight For Auraxis!
The Angry Army Community expands into the war for Auraxis, joining the Terran Republic to crush the usurpers, Loyalty until Death!
That’s right, the Angry Army will be enlisting to help the Terran Republic bring order to the war torn planet of Auraxis, and bring the dissenters back under government control. With the looming launch of Planetside 2 hitting on November 20th, we will be bringing members of the Angry Army Community into the Terran Republic outfit to make setting up squads for the community much easier.
For those of you who may not have heard of Planetside, and wish to see what it’s all about, I highly recommend the ‘Death is no excuse’ trailer shown below, and the Planetside 2 Gameplay Explained video. While the trailer is obviously CG in nature and you can’t do everything it shows, it does do a good job of depicting the scope and nature of the conflict within Planetside 2. There will also be new content on the show detailing this game, so stay tuned! If you are interested feel free to post in the Planetside 2 section of the forums when it’s opened, and we’ll see you on the battlefield.

See you guys there, Joe will be playing with us on the 21st.
Teran republic ftw!!!
NC is supplied by corporations
Yeah, because otherwise it wouldn’t be able to fund a war against the oppression of the TR.
i know that the game is still in the beta stage, but god damn i wish they had a tutorial. im not talking about something fancy,im talking about something basic like they did in team fortress 2 to explain the whole “deployment and territorie capturing” stuff. never played the first one and it took me a while to understand what the hell is going on. great game nevertheless .
PS.
SCREW YOU, NEW CONGLPMERATE FTW!!!! FIGHT FOR YOUR FREEDOM!!!!!
yeah!
Terran Republic FTW
I remember Planetside 1, soo much fun in battle armor defending an outpost :3
NC4LIFE
Reminds me of dead island, people praised it and hyped it for a video much like this. Then the actual game came out and the gameplay was shit, hope this does not continue that curse of great movies and such = shit game
This game isn’t hyped because of this video. This game is hyped because of people watching streams, blogs/vlogs, word of mouth, and a very in-touch dev team.
It is *VERY* easy to find hours upon hours of gameplay vids of planetside 2. There’s already tutorials on youtube already.
And I’ve been in beta for a good while. Bought Alpha Squad. This game is going to be my main game for a very long time.
Many of us have been playing the game itself for months, its only on November 20th that it will be opened to people who didn’t get a Beta invite or bought Alpha Squad. My main point in posting up the trailer was, besides being a good trailer, it shows off the gameplay and mechanics very well from the use of squad beacons to call down reinforcements, to the mobility of the light assault class, to the sheer size of armies that can engage in open warfare against each other.
Yea it was just fear of them killing off a good classic, got some hands on time and im happy with the route they are going
Agreed! TR for life!
Wouldn’t it be better if you tried to distance yourself from TotalBiscuit a little and rolled one of the other 2 factions?
Maybe I should elaborate further. Imagine the potential collaboration project possibility. We know TB and Joe are friends so imagine them holding an in game event where they gather up their own armies and see who dominates the continent first. You could even have TB and Joe do live streams and issue orders to their armies like Generals.
Well the Angry Army leadership decided on Terran Republic as its the most casual player friendly, and will allow people that just want to play and have fun jump on the side that is thus far been overly dominant, at least on the servers we have checked I should say.
There will be those of us that will be playing Vanu as we enjoy it more then TR, but we understand the VS are more challenging and have been drastically overpowered by the TR and NC so would constantly be fighting a hard fought battle constantly and working harder for its certifications and such.
Fair enough. I still think its a missed opportunity but fair enough.
Terran Republic? Good choice, you are a just and rightous person.
Will have to dust off my REXO and MCG once I’ve bought a machine actually capable of running the damn game.
No REXO anymore dude, you’ll be HA #7675143. But at least we still have the sweet MCG – OH WAIT the model is just awful looking. Still, aside from that its the only functional Empire-Specific-Heavy-Weapon so you’re in luck.
It’s waaay better than the NCs Jokehammer (stats on TRs basic shotty are better, while it ties with the VS basic) or the VS’ Laffer (unless you want to damage yourself).
Arg!!! Why do you have to announce your Coming into the PS2 World now D: I already signed up with a TR Outfit from beta…
Prepare for glory, loyalist scum will not be suffered!!!
New Conglomerate!
We will never bow to you any more, TR!
Not in VS ? you aint fabulous enough to be one of us !
I wish there was a way to play this on my mac…..legally.
Bootcamp is your friend if you have a lot of room on your hard drive.
Yeh this game looks great I’m defo gonna buy it, wish I could have tried the beta but oh well, need something a little more epic than BF3 which has been dumbed down from a gameplay point of view.
And I agree with SEMC, even though I come from UK I know Joe’s Clan’s/Guild’s don’t last very long, maybe Joe should find out if he wants to keep playing the game before starting one?
True it does seem like that, however the Angry Army was always more about being a gaming community, without being tied to one game in particular. This is why the AA will still be running GW2, while also bringing Planetside 2 in for those who would prefer an FPS compared to an MMORPG. Joe also does events every Tuesday with the AA currently meaning a few hours of World vs World in Guild Wars 2.
Games F2P dude, you don’t have to buy it ^_^
Oh look, its yet another MMO that’s being advertised as “join the Angry Army” (for about two weeks) and hang out with Joe and company (before they get bored and move on). YAYQQQ!!!!! woooo1111!!!
Whatever.
Hell yes! Can’t wait to see you guys on the battlefields of Auraxis, representing the TR.
Been in beta since it started and it’s really good. Alot of fun in a group. It’s improved a ton since the start and while it still has room to improve, it’s in a good spot right now, and a complete blast.
SO yeah…. Maybe it’s me but I cannot find the download link! I’m in the beta (at least I’m pretty sure I am) But I have no download link!
sad face.
One you put in your beta key they give you, if they accept you into the beta, you will have the option of downloading. Otherwise wait until November 20th when the game officially launches, and is free to play anyways.
Once* I need to stop typing quickly when I am tired.
I thought the beta was a bit crap, its nothing like Planetside 1. A bit fast paced and more like section 8/halo/unreal tournament now.
Fair point about it being different, but you have to keep in mind the action in Planetside 1 was pretty bad and that the original had pretty big design flaws(mechs anyone?). So, a change isn’t necessarily bad, and the game just being a prettier Planetside 1 would have been boring. We’ll wait and see which game design proves to better in the long run.
God am I sick of everyone just blanketing the subject down to ‘PS1 sucks, there’s all those things wrong with it’. Most of us aren’t arguing for BFRs back, its universally agreed that they sucked so hard they helped to kill off the majority of the player base, most of us aren’t arguing for making the game ‘liek ps1 with betar gfx ye ye?’. The point many Vets make about the game is that its been stripped down, too many of the MMO elements have been cast aside in favour of modern FPS aspects.
Indeed, even SilverbackSi above says he wants to play this game because BF3 is getting too dumbed down. I’ve met so many people on the beta that are disappointed because they thought that PS2 would be deeper and more involving but isn’t. So imagine how the vets feel, watching beloved game mechanics and such like be cast aside in favour of the modern upgrade. Half the points the Devs said ‘would never change’ were indeed changed by Vets lobbying on the forums for more PS1 like mechanics – and its made the game better, as agreed by almost all players.
As a disclaimer I enjoy playing PS2 a lot, I don’t think its a terrible game, I will be playing on release. What I won’t be doing is buying any more SC after my AlphaCash has run out until there’s improvements to the game that push it more in the direction I desire. The Devs have said its what they’re working on and I look forward to it.
Truth to tell I’m barely even a ‘vet’ in any meaningful sense of the word, just someone who played it casually as a teenager. But most of the rage and frustration comes from silly design decisions that are then argued over, and most often seemed to end up with more PS1 like results. Proving that the Dev team, while they’ve run one of the most open and engaging betas I’ve ever been a part of, have made some silly, silly decisions. *Tries very hard not to start raging about crewed vehicles. Takes a deep breath*
TL;DR: Probably won’t see any of you on the battlefield as you’ll all be on US servers but seeing as I’m playing Vanu it makes little difference! I barely glance at the mounds of TR corpses I pass everyday. For the Sovereignty!
