and Batman wins…. I would rather him lose with honor than win because he’s most popular atm.
got the collectors editions of injustice today gonna let you know how it is 😉
i got the game and the online is not good at all delayed inputs and lagg.
MK3 in the 90’s has a least 4 fatalities per character. Why a Triple A game like this have to include just one animation???? Dammit i smell a lot of microtransactions and DLC in the future of this game, and when you are done and without money prepare yourself, because the company will release the “Ultimate” version with a full price game….
It would be nice to see some intro/exit variety. Final Fantasy Dissidia and its sequel have a completely different intro speech for each character vs. each character +about 10 generic per character. At at 29 characters that was over 1,000 opening lines. And this is a PSP game. Exits were from a generic bank of 10-20 per character.
Would be nice to see some of the bigger fighters take a note from this.
You grasp it’s just a demo right? Cause they have said the full game has hundreds of different variations in what is said between characters, and with the intro/exit lines and what not……
only one victory quote…. I hope you like hearing Sups saying “kneel” AJ, I will be waiting with the buckets for your tears.
This game is fun as hell its Ed boon so did everyone really expect it to deviate THAT much from MK? The moves are awesome i finished the demo on hard and Vhard thats where the best matches are as on normal and below they dont use specials much and kinda stand there, i love knocking them off the roof level aswell (best way is with batman use away and A to kick them off) cant wait for the full game!
Looks pretty fun, I was really impressed by MK9. Still don’t like the art style though
love the char damage they take
Hearing about the game and not seeing the game play I thought it would just be Mortal Kombat game with DC super heroes. I can admit that I was wrong. I think any game put out by this company will have their brand of fighting combos and style and since they created Mortal Kombat that’s the game you think of being ripped off. I’ve played MK and this doesn’t remind me of MK. This game doesn’t make me cringe like MK does. And since they’ve improved on their story telling I can’t wait to see how it turns out.
Really been looking forward to this. im much more of a fan of doing the story modes with the characters then i am of onlie multiplayer. So really hoping this dosent fall down on the story side. Must say so far what iv seen looks good.
Awww, no honesty with the demo?
Seemed like 90% of peoples reaction was simply:
“So, it’s the newest Mortal Kombat game with DC super heroes….”
“Alright we’re turning this around now… OH $H!T!!”
I’m really disappointed to hear there’s no tag battle and I agree that the game looks a little barebones. Without tag battle all we have are the standard versus mode, Star Labs and a story mode. The Star Labs missions look like pointless mini games but at least the story is shaping up nicely.
The gameplay is solid and the idea to tag moves and display frame data in the moves list was genius. I would have liked to see special intros and victory animations too since these characters have such a rich history with each other. Superman is the only one to get different intros so far and the only time we ever see any special dialogue is during a clash. Seeing the same super move over and over again is going to get boring too. Giving us multiple super moves or a choice between two supers when we select our character like in Super Street Fighter 4 could have solved this issue.
Ugh, Athena. When the wigger-speak starts coming in.
Oh! I now know what to by from my bro’s birthday gift 😀
100€ amazon gift card XD
Would be really cool if they make tag mode for the next part XD
(oh god – I’m sure that will make my room the clash of hero arena when i get it O_O – Family filled with Fighting Game lovers X3 )
If there’s online mode for this add me on XBL… I’ll wipe the floooor…

At first, the combo system felt a bit sluggish and unresponsive, but that wasn’t too much of a problem. Hopefully, we can make it a bit more sensitive in the options menu in the full game.
Sadly, There are only the three characters, WW, BM, and Lex. I was REALLY hoping for Deathstroke, but nope.
Your totally right it felt unresponsive, sluggish and clunky as hell….I actually went back just to see and played MK vs DC and even it’s way smoother and better than injustice. It doesn’t have that flow that fighting games should have….As for being able to change things don’t get your hopes up since that has never been a thing in fighters
Shame about no tag team, but it seems there’s more health for fighters then in MK9, two health bars instead of one. But at least they came out on just said it, rather then ignoring the questions.
As for more variations of the ultimate moves, I can’t think of any other fighting game that has various animations for them either. For the entry animations and exit ones, one each is all MK9 did and I don’t recall Joe having a problem, but it’s a small one, I’d rather the game play be the best then have it suffer due to little things being developed more like that. That said, I’m looking forward to this game.
Looks like an incredible game 🙂
Looks like it could be hella fun. Played the Demo last night. I had to keep in mind that it IS a demo. But, I hope there is a good tutorial besides the move and combo list. I couldn’t figure out how to use the environment. As a DOA veteran it seemed familiar enough, if not a bit sluggish at times. I hope that there is some serious DLC coming to perhaps add some ultimates and things, maybe depending on the skin used? I did end up skipping the intros, hope if they don’t add various exits that I can skip those too cause I tried n couldn’t… I also hope the story is really fleshed out. It was interesting to me that I couldn’t keep hitting my opponent with any single attack. I got two hits at the most. In DOA 4 I could get several hit combos with just one button (though on hard+ I would get my ass kicked doing that). This is prolly gonna end up a chain combo fest. But I guess that’s ok, seems to add strategy. In this case, though I am usually opposed to multiplayer because it usually takes away from the single player (FPS/RPG), I think its gonna really come down to the various multiplayer matches and the competition out there. I have already pre-ordered. Thanks Joe!
Did you play MK9/Mortal Kombat that came out a year or so back? If the story mode is anything like that, it’ll be what you’re after. MK9 also had a tutorial mode, which my flat mates were grateful for, so it sounds like they will have what you’re after 😀
They’ve already announced everything in the DLC season pass 4 more characters and 4 alternate costumes
How do you use your environment. Like picking up something and smashing it onto your opponent.
Do you have to close to it or?
Never saw you do that.
When prompted, you can use the shoulder buttons, like R1 for the PS3, they actually work differently based on the character. For example, with the bat signal, strong characters like Wonder Woman can lift it up and slam it on their opponents. While others like Batman would use it as a way to leap into the air and get behind the other player to prevent being cornered. Same goes to knock your opponents into the background with the helicopter, by pressing the shoulder button on the right side.
Ah, cool. That’s good to know, am downloading the demo now but my net is a bit slow this morning.
Too bad of the lack of entry and “super move” animations.
They wouldn’t even have to change it all that much. Just a little variation. A different entry speech. A different angle on the laser. Moar.
MK9 didn’t, and while I get what you mean, and I would like it too, after a while in fighting games you just end up skipping them. They have in game taunts or something, the head designer in an interview said that certain characters say different things to other certain characters and it has an in game effect, so hopefully that makes a difference.
What do you mean by lack of super move animations though?
