Why Jesse Eisenberg is Lex Luthor he looks to nice be Luthor, comon Bryan Cranston is a way better option 100% better then Jesse Eisenberg
Same here. I just can’t see Jesse Eisenberg as the villain Lex Luthor. They could have picked FAR better and more appropriate actors for Lex, but this doesn’t neccesarilly diminish my excitement for the next Man of Steel. I’d kind of like to see how Jesse does as Luthor.
ooookkkk…. well if jessie is going to be lex luthor then he got to cut the speaking to fast bullshit….. no offense… (i cant really say that )
oh … reminds me of that time JB decided to tease that he would play robin … except now they went and did something equaly retarded …
hey Snyder, Goyer? LUTHOR IS NOT A PREBUBESCENT MOP HAIRED KID! HE IS A BLOODY FORCE OF NATURE BY VIRTUE OF HIS INTELECT, WEALTH, CHARISMA AND OBSESION! WHEN YOU MAKE HENRY CAVILLE, THE LEAST MANLY AND SUPER SUPERMAN EVER, LOOK LEGIT KILL YOURSELF!
Well, I am quite new to comics, but the Lex Luthor that I am seeing in the most recent Justice League comics is not so much sinister and threatening as charismatic and almost sociopathic. He threatens you and your family to make you work with him, but you almost forget about that and support him after working for him for one year-then he kills you to test out his new super weapon. Here’s how I see this possibly working (so long as they don’t fuck it up): Lex is this wizkid businessman/scientific genius. Between his sheer intellect and his charm, he has built and/or acquired one of the most successful companies in the world. The sinister side is hidden, and only comes out when the world can’t see it, in private meetings and secret dealings. I think Jesse can pull off the charismatic Lex, although it won’t be easy.
Probably not the best choice to play Lex Luthor…yeah he’s not. I don’t think I can take it seriously. I’m afraid I’ll be laughing at him when he’s trying to portray one of the greatest villains of all time. A man who has been in a decent comedy such as Zombieland and a crappy kid’s movie known as Rio should NOT play this iconic character. I don’t think it’ll work at all. If you think differently, then explain to me why please.
here image of him now getting beat up by superman
I think he keeps his hair in movie there couple image shoots of the batman vs superman and batman don’t look old in the images that be leaked and jess shows he has hair in couple of them as lex
Slightly off topic but it’s been a while since Joe has reviewed a movie.
Any thoughts on the Lego movie ?
forget jesse, I think ben affleck as batman is 100 times more horrible.
Whats going on with our new movies …. its being torn apart.
I’m not surprised cuz this is THE SAME COMPANY WHO CASTED BEN AFFLECK AS BATMAN!!!!!
This is AngryJoe channeling Joker.
Perhaps Mark Strong could play the role? He’s done well as a villain in some movies and could possibly fit the character.
I thought the new Superman movie was shit though, so I go bravely against Angry Joe in that case.
Yeah……..well just heard they’re definitely using Frank Miller’s The Dark Knight Returns as inspiration so at least that’s good. But…..Jesse Eisenberg…..really….. Brian Cranston would have been awesome. And I thought Ben Affleck was a bad choice.
I have no clue how good or bad this will be but if they epic fail the move there goes any hope of a justice league move.
I think he could work. I’ll need to wait and see. He could pull off Lex’s personality. Physically, I think he’d just need to bulk up a bit, and he could easily pull off the look. Time will tell.
You never know, it could work! Everyone was up in arms when Michael Keaton was casted as the first Batman. Jesse Eisenberg could surprise us all and really nail the character. I seem to recall Lex Luthor is a genius in his own right, and that is something I felt was messing from Super Man Returns. That Lex just felt like comic relief.
Honestly I am not to worried about Ben Affleck as the Batman, only because I know he really respects the comic’s and he himself LOVES the character. My only worry is that he will try to hard to be Batman that he over does it.
HA HA HA HA HA HA no.
Just watching you laugh makes me laugh.
LOL you guys see them new marvel trailers for TASM 2 and CA Winter Soldier, that came out on superbowl sunday?
There’s no point in DC turning MOS 2 into a Justice League prequel.. there’s no way in hell they will ever catch up to Sony (spiderman Xmen) let alone Disney (Avengers).
they should just take their time and work into it naturally. and accept defeat.
The DC movies are in the pooper. They have about a 50% fail rate? And we can’t even really count the Dark Knight series because they have stated, The Dark Knight Batman is not going to be the Justice League batman!
So who do we have for Justice league? Batfleck, A decent Supes, Anorexic Wonder Woman, Green Reynolds wrap, ugh! This failboat isn’t going to make it out of harbor.
They need to stop, go back and rethink what they are doing. Its not a speed competition, its a quality comparison. So far they have been found lacking.
This dude is a Dork. Lets all face it, Batman died when Christian Bale decided not to play Batman again.
I think that Bale was okay but not irreplaceable. But I’m not a batman fan so imho Batman is almost always the least interesting character in…well, in Batman.
Lex and Klark are supposed to be same age.
I was trying to add you on skype saw a Joe Vargas from austin is that you right
Sounds like Joe, because I believe he’s from Austin, Texas.
Hello Joe Vargas my name is Noelle and are you the one who is Angry Joe because I heard you were from texas and I was wondering if I can chat with you and be your friend. I love your reviews and am sorry about the loss of your friend Justin Carmichael. I was just wondering if we can chat together or something sometime. I was wanting to get into your group of friends. I love to watch you guys do some stuff and would like to get to know you better. I love roleplaying and gaming and I love comics and such. Its hard for me to be social cause I am a high functioning autistic person, but I still love your shows. Please add me and I think you and I would be great friends.
Idk, maybe it will be like the Heath Ledger type of acting. Everybody thought it was a bad idea, but it turned out great. However i think the casting for this movie is a bit dumb as hell to say the least.
I think it would be nice to see Joe Kucan as Lex.
this movie has the weirdest cast
I’m indifferent. People wen’t crazy when they cast Heath Ledger as the Joker. Or Mr. Mom as Bat Man.
Personally I didn’t mind when WB announced Ben Affleck as Batman. But this? I just can’t see it, I can’t take that kid seriously. I’d rather see Jonah Hill as Luthor
On Jesse being Lex Luthor, MAYBE if this was to be a depiction of a younger Lex Luthor, a depiction of his life as he grew up into this obsessive mastermind, but even then he would have to be the younger version.
As to Walter Wight, while I am not a Braking Bad fan he does have acting chops especially in playing a menacing mastermind. But my question is, what about Clancy Brown, he voiced Lex Luthor and he played the Kurgan. so he has the voice and the ability to play a villain, just my opinion though.
I believe that they may try to “pull a Loki” with Lex Luthor. They take a young, somewhat popular actor… Girls’ new favourite vilain? I personaly do not like this choice but we’ll see how it turns out.
Oh my god I laughed so hard my face hurts. Awesome shit Joe. I’m pretty much giving up on this franchise. This flick had the potential to be interesting but the producers are going out of their way to screw up at every turn.
Tim Burton’s justice league for the win. I’d already lost hope at Affleck.
