Player That Is Definitely Petrified Of men.
Expected more from the Elder Scrolls Online. Much more…
For several reasons I stopped playing MMORPGs. I played GW2 for over 1300h and it was not half intensive than a Final Fantasy. Than you have to wait, wait for your guild members, or wait for the next event..waiting.
You wait easily 2h a day…in that time you easily play first Disk of Resident Evil 2.
For people who likes MMORPGs and have a good time playing with other people, enjoy. Wish you a good time.
But for people who want to dive into a beliveable fantasy world with a great story, or might have better things to do than wasting 1300h of their life time a MMORPG might be the wrong game for you.
Remember Zelda was considered a BIG game. You can easily make a play trough in 35hs. Thats nothing in an online rpg!
I also pre purchased the eso imperial edition, but im concerned about the lack of response to there record breaking beta test attempt. The bugs and latency of the game, the so called “mega” servers don’t work with me having to wait over 90 min to log in. Every time you interacted with npcs you had ro reloadui or /stuck or relog, and I do not believe the game will be ready for launch. The fact that trump is involved has filled me with trepidation and doubts about the the game, even more so zenimax total failure to even comment about game problems. Lack of more beta testing also has me in doubt. Finally have you checked out the beta for eclipse war from playwith.com. looks great free to play what do you think of that one ?

No offense Joe.. but… you signed a non-disclosure agreement to get into this game I’m pretty sure you can’t review it yet. XD
edit and that was a joke if you caught the first part of the video.
I am a huge fan of the Elder Scrolls and I do not care how good the game is if I have to pay $15 a month I am not going to buy it.
I agree with your feeling on this game. It’s ultimately totally forgetable and becomes too boring to care even trying this. Thanks for doing it for me, but I rather play titanfall.
Um no offense but this is why I hardly visit this site anymore, we got some next gen games out I would have enjoyed hearing your take like titanfall beta, outlast, dead rising 3, killer instinct…list to grow but what we get is this game….I mean this is cool but why are you holding back on the next gen stuff?
I totally agree with your views on value of the games especially with free to play games but….you already chose to buy them without doing research before hand so why whine about it when it’s totally optional?
Not to sound like a jerk, but your not being very constructive on this. I digress though, Joe’s been busy with other things (Such as the whole Youtube thing earlier this year and late last year if you haven’t heard about that). Not to mention I don’t exactly think it’s easy to do a review as it takes editing and such, which can consume quite a bit of time I assume depending on what is needed. He’ll get to the ‘next gen’ games, which really are not all that much next gen except for a few in my opinion honestly, more and more.
as to free play cryptio already said that they would just shut the game down before it would be allowed to go free to play
Well main thing remember about ESO is that its a MMO not was not created by Beasthda but by there parent company, it meant to be some what FPS and open like some elder scrolls games but it is not, and game is not 60$ its 60$ for the imperil edition I bought it, its 40$ for the standard edition – impearls were merc the kingdom that’s in Skyrim and oblivion never existed let so.
I personal think they should just not had a standard edition and just charged every one 60$ for the game called it a day.
anyways its MMO its not skyrim or oblivion it is not meant to be like other elder scroll games it just a new style MMO based on elder scroll history and if you take it as that its pretty good MMO, they need to really fix the archery in the game, thou you can shoot bow like a machine gun shooting so fast that you breack animation you don’t do as much damage as if you pull it back but you can shoot so fast that it dosnt even matter and if you do that you can do it while walking running at full speed. anther thing with archery is you can target someone and then not even really look at them and shoot and the arrow will curve towards them in mid air like a C there no pshyics in this game like in oblivion or skyrim.
I’m.. not sure if I read this right, but I tried my best. However, the digital standard edition is $60, the digital imperial edition is $80. That’s -directly- from the TESO site itself from their purchasable digital editions. Now lets look at other places like Amazon, Gamestop, or BestBuy. Same thing. 60 for the standard and for the imperial edition it’s 80 at Amazon, 100 at BestBuy, and oddly enough 80 to 100 at Gamestop. Where you got it for 40, I don’t know.. but I’m calling bull right there. Hope you didn’t get scammed but still, calling bull.
We get a couple years of f2p and now everyone’s panties go up in flames at the mere mention of subscriptions. Ill take a subscription over nickel and diming microtransactions any day. It will probably save me money in the long run.
It isn’t that, for most I think anyways, people get upset over a subscription model. I think it’s more so on the fact and basis of if the subscription model is justified enough for the MMO itself based on the quality of it. From what I’ve seen, and with what little time there is until release (It may seem far off, but that’s hardly the case… less than two months will go by fast) I hardly see anything from what I’ve seen or played changing. It boils down to TESO not even justifying the subscription model via it’s quality and just gives a feeling of a quick cash grab as they ride the popularity train. That’s me, however, so to each their own.
My sentiments exactly!!!!
Oh come on- advising zenimax to copy MORE of other mmos? For the fuck sake, they had a chance to change the mmo market rules, make something really unique and new and they just COPIED a generic mmo and placed it in tamriel… Thats what is wrong with this game, not copying too little from other mmos…
Since watching your video I gate ESO a second chance and now I can’t wait to play the pvp that was fking awesome. Our normal guild hates the graphics and feels let down. However this is the PVP I have been looking for again for over 10 years. Can’t wait to be a part of the army with you guys in ESO.
