I have been previously exploring on-line over several hrs these days, even so certainly not uncovered almost any appealing post such as your own property. It truly is charming cost sufficient for me. In my opinion, in case almost all site owners plus web owners created good information because you almost certainly performed, the web might be a great deal more beneficial than before.
ESO had so much opportunity but zenimax fucked it up I’m a die hard es fan and I will never forgive zenimax studios
ESO had so much opportunity as a die hard es fan I hate zenimax studios for fucking up my favourite franchise
I’d love to hear the Angry Joe thoughts on the ESO massive banning of innocent players.
I think the 15 dollars is totally dum idea. I mean who would want any more money when they probably get 1’000’000 a year. I’m a super big fan of elder scrolls.
True but have you seen the graphics on the game it is totally awesome but it is BS.
After getting burned too much in “Free To Pay” games. I’m ready to go back to a Fee based game in the longer run it will be cheaper for me.
Imp Edition purchased, ready for 4-4-14!!!
Damn am I conflicted on this on one hand I want it to do well because I like Bethseda a lot more than most of their competition eg. EA and Activision. However I just don’t like MMORPGs at all I tried to get into them but it just wasn’t for me and I kind of feel that we won’t be seeing another single player game anytime soon because of it just like WoW killed off Warcraft.
If it does well I hope money gets put towards a new single player game but if it does badly I hope they will never take on a project like this again and continue to provide superb single player games.
Monthly payment in my opinion isn’t good idea. ESO will not stand ground for long time with GW2 and it’s free to play after game purchase (also for less then ESO). But I must be true… its first game that is free from strange ideas that appear in MMO made by Asian developers. It is classic fantasy as much as it may be classic.
So what I found to be good:
1. I tried all classes and they seems to be balanced – at least I have fun playing all of them.
2. Crafting system and gathering resources seams so much simpler and easy to follow then in other games. It gives You fun instead of frustration.
3. Open world looks like it’s open – exploring will be a big part of this game (like “what’s behind that hill” in other ElderScrolls games).
4. World that You know, if You played in ElderScrolls games before.
What makes me nervous:
1. Idea of “Go buy our no to cheap game and after 30 days pay us more”. Nope, that isn’t the way now. GW2 puts a milestone in this genre and You can’t say now “let’s go back to old time of L2 and WoW”.
2. Imperials only for Imperial Edition buyers? OK, but not in game that You pay monthly for it! Make it free to play after purchase and then it will be accepted. Add some option later for unblocking this race (payable of course) along with other things like mounts, appearance changes and so alike.
That’s it for me. I will wait and see in what direction this game will turn.
The fee in my opinion is a example of a good/bad.
on 1 hand paying a fee does suck but that will also help ensure that this won’t turn into another cash shop milk machine. where you have to pay to win or pay to get an advantage.
I personally look forward to the experience!
I played Wow from Vanilla when there wasn’t even any BG’s to the lame panda expansion…bottom line why I quit…wasn’t the 15 dollars.
You guys must realize you pay for what you get and nothing is free ever.
I quit WoW because they never one time listened to any subscribers. ESO devs are open-minded enuf to listen…plus they wanted to make the best MMO out there….I can see they have. They also play the games they make…they are gamers….most game devs are not gamers.
You all keep playing crapping F2P that charge money for micro-transactions and can’t see they also are making money off of you cause you want that cool-looking gear..it is still crap.
In ESO you actually can make better gear than what drops or you get from climbing lame endless ladders that nerf your gear once you get. I will be buying a PS4 so I can play on that platform…because I know my kids will want to play on the PC and PS4…I have also bought the online imperial edition from zenimax-online store…and bought another IMperial edition from Amazon.com to later sell it to make some cool cash…because I can see you all wanting that imperial edition that is extinct because all your friends will be playing ESO because it will be the best MMO on the market…You will see Wow dying a more rapid death than the slide it has been on for the last two years…..F2P sucks and you all know it….those games are all lame because they also don’t listen to gamers…just stock brokers who tell em cut-cut-cut budgets to increase you already dwindling profits.
I wouldn’t mind if the fee was $5 or $8 a month, because there will already be thousands of people playing it, so…for example, lets say 2 million people world wide own the game, and it’s $8 a month, it comes to $96 a year, and the 2 million gamers….it means $192000000 for Bethesda per year.
I repeat, $192000000 PER YEAR!!! So why not have $8 a month fee, or is Bethesda becoming greedier and lusting for money?
[...] I was watching Angry Joe’s ESO PvP video, I wondered how you’re supposed to know what’s going on in PvP. You can’t see the [...]
I can’t help but think the $15 a month is a calculated, initial money grab. ESO seems to be built for F2P and this approach gives them the highest up-front return. Then, after a few months, they announce F2P with much fanfare and they heavily push the cash shop. This isn’t the same as TORtanic, but a calculated way to get as much immediate cash as possible.
I am burned out on mmos. I barely have time to play one so I play guild wars 2 which is free instead. So yeah Im not paying 15 a month to play any game I dont care how good it is.
I miss the single player elder scrolls games so I just hope they are working on and are making an elder scrolls game after skyrim. I much prefer single player game other players suck lots of time plus server issues and lag just not worth it
NO. Not going to pay to play.
BUT i think its good that their is more freedom than world of warcraft. faction restrictions class restriction ect…
i think it could be more elder scrolls meaning it could use more freedom with armor, class, and talents and spells and such.
I checked out last weekend’s beta, got to 15ish I think. I liked it well enough, but it just didn’t click with me.
Cash cow project , couldn’t just take down the subscription fee to half?
In game store too?
People who are fine with fifteen dollars a month obviously either cant do the math or have money pouring out their ass! People like me who have shortages of money and cant afford that kind of thing wont be able to play those kinds of games. One year is $180!!! The developers just lost hundreds of thousands of buyers when they announced this.
Can’t say for sure if its just the developers , I think its their publishers and they just put the developers up front to come up with some hilarious reasons for the subscriptions and in game store to present to us.
The way the industry goes , developers are the last wheel of the cart.
Hopefully something like Star Citizen can succeed and kick them in the balls.
overall, the characters just dont do it for me, to generic looking, and my prefered way of playing (Stealth archer) just doesent work, this one is a pass for me.
How do I become part of the Angry Army guild in this game. It would be so awesome if I could fight along with fellow Angry Troops.
I was in that battle, that is awesome, it is fun guys, it really is. Anyway, I know some can not afford it and some just don’t have time. It will go FTP at some point and I’m sure I will see you then. I did buy it already and I hope to be apart of the Angry Army guild.
I don’t understand the big deal with playing $15/month for MMO’s. I will gladly pay $15/month so the company can hire a GM to sit there and babysit the server(s).
There are too many Hackers and Farmers ruining MMO’s.
Look what happened to Battlefield 3. The hackers don’t even use executables on their computer anymore; they run their hacks directly off of a Java Browser and inject the code into the game. They can do that with every MMO game!
S4 League is one of the coolest shooter games on the FTP market. But, it is so plagued with hackers that they’ve even hacked the game itself.
You just can’t play an MMO for free anymore without getting harassed by hackers. Also, you wind up paying far more money from the nickel and dime item stores than a mere $15/month. That is why EA Sports LOVES making people pay for everything in the games they endorse…
They make far more profit making people buy items from the market.
lol wow, that does look pretty awesome
This reminds me of a lot of the Seige battles in both WoW and Warhammer Online. Either way, this isn’t anything that hasn’t been done before.
yap but all that was also based of DAOC, Warhammer Online had lots of ppl that created DAOC, WoW came out after DAOC using lots of things that Dark Age used but more pve oriented, WoW killed DAOC that at the time was the biggest mmorpg. its all good if they are all great games on their own what is killing ESO is the 15 dollars a month!
My thing is, if they’re not really doing anything different and three other games are doing it better than they are, how can they really attract anyone?
more annoying is when those companies claim that it’s never been done before, when there are half a dozen games that have, and done it better
I’m just happy to know this game exists, even if I have no chance of playing it (because of monetary reasons…)
Like it, but we’re not in the future yet. The day they do a game like Skyrim but with gamers living in there, doing missions, coop or not, at free will, I will believe in it.
This looks good. Real good, actually.
lol man I love your show but that line. im trying to contribute all I can….im staying out of danger (as u hid in the corner) had me cracking up.
Elder Scrolls Online is based of a game called Dark Age of Camelot, it was the best mmorpg ever, 3 realms huge batles, same combat system, pve works for pvp. Joe should mention DA0C not Guild Wars. Great video seems DAOC is back with a different name and sure i will play it.
