Borderland 2?

21 posts in this topic

Hi all,

I'm just wondering if Borderland 2 is any good (I have not played the first one). My friend wanted me to buy it so we can go coop on STEAM. But I'm really out of cash and just wondering if it's worth buying or not (x-mas sale).

I think it is. It's better with friends but I enjoyed the time I spent in it. If you want to play with a friend it's a worthwhile buy.

Oh yeah definitely, I picked it up on a whim, and I loved it. I never played the first one either. Joe has some videos from it as well, but I say buy it.

Thank you for the advice, I will put it on my STEAM wishlist. Moreover, maybe trying to push some of my friends to buy it too.

The best co-op game game to date is Borderlands 2 buy the game of the year edition it comes with all the DLC up until the Halloween. I have only played the first one and plan to buy the second after a price reduce on PSN but seeing that their both fun it is a must buy just like at Angry Joe review of it

Yeah what makes me wanting to play is that people are saying it has tons of loot and me love booty and looting.

Yeah borderlands 1 an borderlands 2 are really good games especially with friends but lately some of the changes have effected it negatively but seeing as a new player you won't notice te difference plus it's still overall a great game

it's a great game for sure. I've definitely gotten my monies worth out of it. The campaign is awesome and highly addictive.

Try not to pug your groups, high possibilities of people stealing all the loot.

Yeah it's shared, so I'm pretty sure it's not like Diablo III where everyone sees their own loot. If you do see your own loot in Borderlands 2 my mistake.

Going to stick to my guns on this one (no pun intended), if loot drops and someone grabs it, it's gone and no one else can grab it unless the person drops it.

I played Borderlands 1 with a guy like that ..ONE TIME ! After that, he would come into TS 3 and ask if anyone wanted to play again and nobody would.

I will only play Borderlands 1 and 2 co-op with 2 people I know. We're friends and we drop everything in the middle and take turns as to who gets the choice swag. As you level up, the gear gets better and better anyway, so there's no point in being a dick about it but both games are awesome. You will never laugh so hard playing a video game, as you will playing those 2 games.

I would definitely recommend either game but buying Borderlands 2 makes more sense, as it is a better game and it's been out for a while now, so it's pretty inexpensive at this point and yea, get all the DLC. They're very well done and add a lot of playability to the game for the money.

Completely agree, thanks for clearing that up.

i played the first one through i think 3 full times, borderlands 2 was no different.  absolutely loved it, played it through 3 or 4 times.  i found the dlc to be a bit dull, so i haven't played really any of them.   it's definitely worth the money though!
