At least (download speed) 1mb/s (internet 5-20mb/s) without lag playing all games in Europe and NA with stable ping.

At the bear minimum I would recommend no less than 5mbps. However 1 will do, just expect to be frustrated from time to time. Personally I won't play with any less than 15-20. Although I know depending on your area you might not be able to do this.

Move to Kansas City, Austin Texas, or Provo Utah and get Google Fiber.

1,000mbps should suffice.

You can also live in Eastern European countries like Lithuania or Riga and gain 600-800mbps and you can also upgrade your router. In future they say it will be 2000mbps

I would say at least 10/mb but the higher the better. If you can, you should go for fiber optic, it's fast and very reliable. I have 100/mb it works very smooth and most games runs painless. Just makes sure you don't game with people who have much less then you because they will slow..................................down the game a lot. Especially, if they are hosting the game.

If you have a game that has a "server browser" take a look at the ping and always choose the server with best ping.
