Advice for Borderland noob?

10 posts in this topic

So I just downloaded Borderlands 2 on ps3 since it was free for playstation plus. I never played one and had a chance to play around with it for a short bit and it seems to be a damn fun game from first impressions. Just wondering if anyone could give me some noob advice that would be wonderful. Also is any class capable of going through solo because I'm going to assume online on ps3 is somewhat dead now. Thanks in advance!! Also if you play Borderlands 2 for ps3 feel free to add me on psn mine is Shady23.

Zero the Assassin along with Axton the Commando are really under powered and hard to if  not almost impossible to play late game. Maya the siren and Gaige the Mechromancer are about medium level difficulty later game. Now this leaves the 2 most OP classes in the game Salvador the Gunzerker and Krieg the Psycho. I started with Axton and once i got into the 3rd playthrough which is called Ultimate Vault Hunter Mode i quit him to play Gaige because he just doesnt do enough damage except for maybe with rocket launcher which i dont think i should be forced to only use rocket launcher to be viable later on. Keep in mind if your playing with other players it balances it out.

In the first one I played as the soldier or whatever. The guy who threw the turret.

I haven't played Borderlands 2 in a loooong time. I think I'm level 51 with Zero. I'll be back home on the 21st, feel free to add me and we could play. I could also use one of my lower level characters that I started to play with form more challenge.

Zero:

- 2 Styles to Play: Sniper or Close Combat Damage dealer. Don't go Hybrid. It won't bring you very far.

Ashton:

- In SP: go for max Damage per second like throwing 2 turrets and stuff, or go for max damage Output: One turret with Rocket launchers and faster firing rate.

- in MP: go for Support: while Turret is active your teammates Regenerate Ammo, Health, do more Damage...

Salvador: didn't played it yet

Psycho: didn't played it yet

Mechromancer: didn't played it yet

Maya: played only in MP: Support - stunning enemies in the air and create a sort of black hole which pulls all the surrounding enemies to it. Can save much time, ammo and health.

Thanks for all the tips guys. I'm kind of just playing around with the classes now before I make my choice. Picking what class to play in games is always the hardest decision in life for me...

Borderlands 2  good game whit cartoonish graphics  i had the game for a year id say its pretty hard if you dont know what to do like gearing up and also play whit online people for extra loot and rare items, btw you'll rage alot when people steal your loot then leaving your game i wished there was loot sharing like Destiny is going to be, am soo pumped for that game!
