Songs that should be in games, but are not

19 posts in this topic

So there are some games with really good and fitting soundtracks and there are others that aren't, but what I want to know is, if you could put a song into any video game, what would it be and why?

My personal favorite is Run Boy Run by Woodkid. Now this song is on the new WoW advert I believe but in my opinion Assassins Creed would be a better choice for the song, that and Woodkid has done stuff for AC in the past, their song Iron was in the Revelations trailer, which fitted perfectly with the tone.

This song should be in Assassins Creed purely because it's a bad ass song and people get murdered silently:

I'd put that in Skyrim when you fight Alduin... Then I would put
into Terraria for the Eclipse nights.

Picture the scene.

You're playing Dragon Age Origins. You've been nice to Morrigan for days now and she's just invited you into her tent. After the deed you poke your head out of said tent and look over at Alistair. He looks back and the real music kicks in.....

There are several Dethklok songs that would have been perfect for certain areas of Diablo 3 (love it or hate it)

Songs you want in games that should be. Hmmm..

How about, the songs stored on your console, so you can listen to your own stuff while playing a game!

(Microsoft, Sony, TAKE THE HINT!!!)

Obviously, this wouldn't work for all games.

I know right? I remember on gta san andreas, and tony hawk games on xbox you could do that. Not many games now days even have that feature including gta 5. It's like they took a step back.

This applies to all zombie games

Volume warning

A flourishing plague consumes the masses
Emaciated figures dying in the streets
Boils and sores devour their flesh
Vital organs turn to sludge
This inescapable fate captures humanity
With every hour more victims fall
Mass hysteria becomes the protocol
Civilization turns to savagery
With no hope for a cure in sight
Science becomes futile in the chaos
Disease ridden humans play out their final days as ravenous animals
A bastardized version of man which cannot be reversed
Limbs and appendages rot and fall off
Leaving hideous creatures in tormented hell
Suffering life forms await death in the misery of defeat
Mass graves filled with diseased bodies
Spreading sickness posthumously

Honestly I think they should put "Cool guys don't look at explosions" in GTAV although that seems more like something Saints Row would do

The best thing about it would be Alistair's look of absolute disgust after you come out of Morrigan's tent.

Not a specific song, but most Industrial and Trip Hop would be awesome in games, as they fit a certain atmosphere
