Doomed-to-fail New Years Resolutions!

25 posts in this topic

So, what is it that you will totally achieve this year and certainly not give up on after a month?

Mine is to learn new languages, learn new programming languages and by the summer design a jet-pack system that within 5 years I will develop into an IronMan suit.

Uh, I certainly plan not to fail on this. But lose about 50 lbs over the coming year.

Edit: Doomed to fail you say? (Stolen from Imgur, matches the topic. Heheh.)

I'm hoping I will become a personal trainer in the new year with this new job. That's what I'm hoping to achieve.

Why would you do such a horrible thing?  :o

I've been informed that my porn addiction could be contributing heavily to my Social Anxiety. I'm also sick of porn to the point that it sometimes makes me physically ill.

It seems like a good time to stop.

I'll probably make the same resolution as I make every damn year.

Try and talk to my family more.

I've seen family members maybe 3 or 4 times throughout this year. Really should make an effort and i've been saying it for 5 years. I never do though.

Gettin' a date.

/foreveralone.

Guys, it's not hard to get a date.

All you need is a good length of rope, a pair of handcuffs, and empty basement, some duct tape, a bit of cloth, a bottle of chloroform and a van.

No need to thank me, i'm always happy to help.

Finish every aspect of Skyrim, Fallout 3 and become at least rank 70 in Battlefield 4. Impossible.

To cut back on the caffeine. I've been drinking WAY too much lately, and haven't been sleeping so well.

Yeah, I'll probably fall back on the habit in about a week (what can I say, coffee rules), but you can't blame a man for loving his Z's.

Let's not forget- gloves and a mask. Gloves to avoid leaving prints on anything incriminating, and a mask in case you get seen on a traffic cam. You can always go for the classics and get, say, a Nixon mask, or even a hockey mask, but try not to get anything too original- it'll make it easier for the cops to find, unless you hand made- Waaaaaiiit, why am I saying all this?

Er...

*puts on Nixon mask*

I AM NOT A CROOK!

I tried that one time, I ended up in a van ductaped in a basement with handcuffs on my feet with a rope around my neck. I still don't know what went wrong. The instructions said to get in the van and turn on the AC!

That's exactly how I ended up married the first two times!

Honestly though, I have to say at this point in time I find very little value in any relationship that doesn't require batteries. People are irritating at best and syphon your money at worst. I'm quite happy to tolerate none of it currently.

And my "New years resolution" is maintain my employment status which I think I can do quite easily.

I approve of your worthy goal! I will jump on your bandwagon and say I want to complete every game in my Steam inventory; a list that has grown through a few Steam sales.

I have the same goal I had for 2013... Build this: Click

Every year I update it little by little, but never come close to actually being able to get the parts and make it.
