well, here it is the other Michael Bay movie that comes out this year. I know that there are gonna be a lot of people that don't like it already but I'm gonna ask anyways... Do you like the new TMNT trailer?

We did have a thread on this but it seems to have vanished.

Mods are losing our threads now.

Can't say I like the look of it but I do love the old cheesy movies.

i would have to see more of it to give an honest opinion, but... so far i don't like the way it's goin. From that trailer it seems that they intended to make the turtles, and that just doesn't sit well with me.

I don't like that the turtles are huge. The part where Raph crushes a Hummer just by hitting it's side was just not right, in my opinion anyway. It'll be a Netflix watch for me, if I do watch it that is.

Right now I am at worried level

This could change decision...not FINALLY

Not gonna lie I was hoping when the teaser finally hit that any and all qualms would be gone. But sadly not only am I not hyped by the teaser I too am worried. It doesn't look like anything we haven't seen before with these kinds of movies, the characters all look weird, and if the Foot Soldiers are actually going to be modern day soldiers (in that they use guns and nothing else) then I can honestly say that maybe this movie shouldn't have seen daylight. Now hopefully I'm wrong and this movie can be decent (not good, but decent). We'll just have to wait and see though so here's to optimism!

first, it's not being directed by Michael Bay. just produced. thought i should clear the air with that.

secondly, I think it looks more than half-decent. the characters seem authentic, and in the end, that's what really matters right? yeah they look different, but they're still themselves. I'm not as pessimistic about it as other people seem to be.

It's a different entity than the TV show, how would this movie kill that? Heck, current series is great enough to overcome how crappy this movie may turn out.

So my thoughts on this enlightening enlightenment on this new iteration of the Post Adolescent Non-Human Shinobi Reptiles.

I thought I read long ago that the turtles were going to be aliens in the next movie, which to me would have been a huge mistake given the cartoon/movie lore. So from the teaser it looks and sounds as if these turtles were actually genetically engineered and created...as opposed to an accident with mutagen but still works for me none-the-less.

They are CGI characters...this can teeter me either way. On one hand you have CGI that can do basically anything fighting and ninja stuff real or not (Raph taking out a Humvee). On top of that it could mean blood and actual weapon usage that inflicts realistic damage, or not and it could still go the way of the original TMNT movies and the weapons are just for show and arm extensions. On the other hand it could still be like the original movies and the weapons still only act as Nerf bats in Martial Art weapon form.

The military over the secret clan of ninja thieves is a stretch, could still work I hope.

I'm just gonna stop there because there's not much else you can pull from the teaser other than April O'Neill already looks like an annoying character. But like the Mortal Kombat: Reboot clip...this movie is definitely going to have to be taken with an open mind. Like the Reboot, this movie seems to be abandoning all we know about the turtles and starting over completely. New Age kids might go for it...but something tells me us original TMNT generation people will not let this movie's ticket sales see the light of day.

Not to be insulting anyone but gamiers and being open minded don't really go together too well

Turtles look ugly as shit, especially their faces. Who thought it was a good idea to give them noses and a slightly more human face?

Nope! Not paying to watch this Movie.   All those who do are continuing to feed Michael Bays ideas.
