Space Engineers

6 posts in this topic

This game is currently in Early Access, alpha stage. Currently it has got (relatively) little content, but you can build a lot of cool stuff if you get into how it works and you can battle in multiplayer.

Pros:

You can build spaceships in space with your friends in multiplayer in Creative mode, or engage a more realistic approach in Realism mode.

Great damage physics on objects.

Active dev support and constant(weekly thursday) updates featuring new mechanics every time.

Cons:

Early Access/alpha - bugs, multiplayer lag issues and framerate issues are a common problem.

No dedicated servers, yet. Support has been confrimed but not yet released.

Space Engineers

This game is one of the better one in Early Access !

Space Engineers is a sandbox game about engineering, construction and maintenance of space works. Players build space ships and space stations of various sizes and utilization (civil and military), pilot ships and perform asteroid mining.

I think AJSA should support this game, because it has up to 16 player multiplayer and this number might get bigger. Game doesn't crash and runs smoothly and it is fun. You can build ships of any kind.

If you are fan of Minecraft you will love it, if you hate Minecraft you might love it, it has nice graphics and you can build SHIPS.
I think this game deserves its place on AJSA !

Great game to play with friends, but attempts at a large scale organization would either be really cool and fun, or have terrible results.  However, we can't know till we try.

A little worried that the whole "early access" thing would eventually get one or more of the servers wiped (when they come of course), which is any and every builder's nightmare.

EDIT: Also, this game has already been requested and put down for not having a multiplayer.

That is because at the time it did not, now it does. Though builder games like this, minecraft, terraria, etc. will more than likely not be "officially" supported, but nothing is stopping the AJSA from hopping on a server and playing together.
